- we moved into our current vancouver apartment last November so what's the reason for moving so soon? There's a few aspects of our current apartment we don't like but it's not the main reason we're moving. Me too! I bought TV on sale like 3 months before moving , and eventually it become 6 months before moving because my new house got delayed and I still didn't get the key yet :((

Hey! We had the gentle leader for our dog too but too many people thought it was a muzzle and it seemed uncomfortable for our dog. Our trainer got us the freedom no pull harness which is a harness but the leash hooks up on the front so essentially it does the same gentle leader but looks like a normal harness and we can clip him through the back and front and don’t have the worry of it falling off.

Discovered this channel recently and love these videos. Can you do a neighbourhood guide after moving? Thinking of moving to Vancouver from the UK and particularly wondering what options there are for someone who can't drive.

The device on your dog was originally called a "Gentle Leader." They're a great training tool. By the way, your dog should always walk by your side--never in front. Pack leaders are in front. If the dog does get in front of you, stop dead in your tracks. With the Gentle Leader on, the dog will continue to walk, and quickly realize (due to the tension of the leash/Gentle Leader) that it needs to stop. Repeat as often as necessary. Over the course of several walks, the dog will "get it."
It is really important to maintain that you are the pack leader. Your dog doesn't appear to be aggressive, so probably not a big deal. And, he seems really well behaved. (He doesn't jump on you when he's excited, for example.)

Unsolicited couples advice: When your significant other wants something that you disagree with (like get a big TV), consider providing the reason(s) you wouldn't get/do it, but say, "I love you and want you to be happy, of course you can get/do it." Permission allows the other the freedom to think more broadly. Once they know they can have/do it, they may agree with you. Taking away the freedom to choose increases the pressure and desire. Obviously, there are limits, but with material items, don't let a TV (or other toy) ruin your day or relationship. Cheers to you both for another really good and fun vid.

IMO You both were right and wrong at the same time re. the TV. It was a good idea to buy it at that time, due to the discount. BUT it was a bad idea not to have waited to open it until the new place, since it is 1000000x easier to move it in its box, where it is protected. I hope the TV made it safe to its new home. lol
My dog hated the gentle leader for months but is now a pro. Helps so much!

During the two years I lived in Seattle, I moved every 3-6 months. But everything my wife and I owned could fit into our SUV. And we always moved into fully furnished units with month-to-month leases. It was a great time to do that because it was the height of the Great Recession, I had a steady income, and every single place was dirt cheap.

For the dog owners that don’t want to use this type of leash, there’s also harness that attaches at the front so it has the same effect without having the leash attach to your dog’s head
I’m not saying the type that Jasper has is bad, I’ve never used one like that, its just to give you some options !

This was hilarious!! I also bought a 65 inch tv and couldn’t fit it in my car. My partner doesn’t drive so I had to call my dad and ask him to come pick it up with his truck. If it doesn’t fit in a car, they should tell you that on the box!!

Don't know the cost of van rentals in Vancouver, but would an UberXL have been cheaper? For me, an UberX was cheaper than renting while my car was in the shop.
