Titanium definitely has advantages with its unique material properties, very low magnetism, lower electrical and thermal conductivity, and the strongest of the elemental metals for its weight, and bio neutral. The raw metal is actually a white silver, but it forms a protective oxidized layer that protects it from the elements, so we get this gray color to it. Neat stuff.
I like the new pouches also. They are much better constructed and fits everything that I need with the kit. I keep a camp knife combo, esbit stove and tabs as well as water tablets in mine.

I am a fan of titanium and this cookset in particular. Strong, no taste, cleans well and very very light.
I have the new darker one with black straps. Much better than that digi cam stuff.
