Sounds like Wind Chimes in the woods. 😂😂😂
@@BigRiverMarine does doesn’t it. I have learned a few things since. Not hanging them, taping the shafts with camouflage quite tape. Removing them from holders as I climb the tree. All additional steps brought each sticks down quiet. That was a first dry run, like all thins we learn as we go. Now, not only quiet but also effective and efficient.
Thanks for Sharing
😂😂😂😂 useless
All I think of is wind chimes hearing those clang together. I ordered the same sticks. Will have to quiet them down for sure.
@@matthewcrawford7067 I know right. That was straight out of the box. I taped the shafts and that did a lot for noise reduction. Also no longer hang them from my belt individually. Now am happy with them.

Nice I'll be living in one for a couple days soon
@@glockman134 I hit the woods and ranger camp in mine, poncho and liner. Great for deer hunting.
Some stealth strips would definitely quiet those sticks down.

is this set up worth the money?
@@stokeandspoke1177 I do believe so. Very comfortable also
@@stokeandspoke1177 it is a strong self contained kit. The backpack, gear, seat and sticks. I am still learning/practicing...but do believe it is worth it as a kit vs. Separate purchase. As a kit, it becomes a dedicated grab and go item.

I have recently learned about wax bullets. I use the same soft wax i made for the cap & ball shooting to prevent a chain fire..i have the wax in a can about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. I press the casing into it..the primer is strong enough to fire it. I did drill out the flash hole a little. So now i can practice with the new model army for the cost of the primers & wax basically! Thought i would mention it incase you haven't heard about it so that you could tey it out too! Its how the fast draw/ trick shooters practice
@@miraxus6264 that's awesome dude, enjoy

Thank you
If you’re tough enough to drink that water my hats off to you!
Thanks, it is a nice creek well up in the mountians. It runs clean....but I always give it the sniff test before drinking.
@The-Western-Way more of a habit than full proof my friend. Doesn't smell bed, clean running mountain water.
А гриб зачем нужен?
That is a old dead Varnish Hemlock....When old and dry, sometimes dried by the fire, the dry mushroom will hold and keep an ember burning all night. Then I can use the ember for later fire starting. Also, in the summer at camp the ember will not only hold a burning ember and smolder, the light smoke will keep mosquitos and bug away from the tarp tent.
Is it flintlock?
@@azkhaalvaro65 yes an Indian trade gun. 62 caliber or 20 Guage.

@@343forwarduntodawn that was a full load of #5 shot.
@@VeritableOutdoors so it's fowling piece?
@@343forwarduntodawn yes and no my friend. A "Indian trade gun" Pedersoli. .62 or 20 Guage. A lot of fun.
@@VeritableOutdoors yeah I bet. Would u say that u could load with anything that fits in the barrel? Kinda like muskets or canons? Let's say u needed to get a turkey goose for food and u didn't have any ammo, could load it with pellet gun BBs? I imagine if u overloaded it, u could backfire I guess.
@@343forwarduntodawn indeed. Their are stories and written accounts of trappers, natives and farmers using creek stones, odd sized shot and even chunks of iron and the like. I just stick to .060 round ball, buck and ball, buck shot and smaller shot.
I make my own powder...it is fast enough and powerful enough and only about $5 a pound
Is that one of those new wind chime deer chasers? Leave your sticks attached to each other, pulling one off as you go and add some stealth strips to get rid of the church bells. Simple and cheap improvements to stay quieter in the woods.
@@damiankildare9230 I know...on set up and hearing the "wind Chime" I will have to do something. I am going to look into stealth strips. Thank you.
@VeritableOutdoors XOP Hush tape will quiet your sticks for less than $20. Good luck on this year's season and stay safe up there.
@@damiankildare9230 Thank you. I had thought about wrapping the straps around them but like the idea of the hush tape better.
Thanks for review I’m older hunter and thinking about getting one of these saddles I believe that it would work for me but I’ll have to probably practice few times in my yard before going hunting with it . Good luck this hunting season

77 13 10 works well too Got a copy of "the backwoodsman" Dec 2019 that has a few different recipes. They include red rust powder and powdered sugar.."gun candy" uses no charcoal at all just sugar..milled well it works...fouling isn't bad..warm water cleans easily

You got a 44 magnum to show?
I have a Navy .44 I am planning on testing this batch with. I did test a small .32 deringer with about 10 grains by weight and it performed very well. It is percussion.
Although you can see the fouling on the barrel.....the homemade Powder still burned thru to the main charge....hence the delay. 70 grains powder by weight and 0.600 round ball.
What is your mixing ratio, and are you using straight saltpeter, charcoal and sulfur, or special, purified ingredients
@@RhyvurStyxx Yes. This is the standard English Ratio. 75/15/10. Pure KN03 and Sulfur. The Charcoal in this batch is cedar shavings and Toilet Paper. I give Everything Black Powder credit for the TP idea.
@VeritableOutdoors I'm finding the sugar recipe cheaper then the toilet paper 😅
@@miraxus6264 TP worked...but My pine and cedar shavings did better. I have not tried the sugar powder
@@VeritableOutdoors I jave to use propane and a camp stove to make the charcoal out of the tp..seems to take a lot of gas this way...and the cottenel tp is costly too. Maybe if I had a wood stove or a fire pit outside 🤔 might build one for when it's cooler weather
I got a little ahead of myself. I was wondering if it grows anywhere besides on rock walls and is it limited to certain terrain features. Can it be found in different states in this country?
I found this spot on a ridge on the Western side, just moist enough to support and enough sunlight to keep it going. Usually found anywhere in cooler rocky slopes in the Appalachians.
Good to know info on rock tripe. Does rock tripe in certain parts of the country and besides on rock walls?
The range in world wide with exceptions. It is a part of asian food. I usually find it western facing rock walls and boulders in Appalachia.
Boulders, rock formations and such. Try it, properly identify first, it is actually pretty good.
Can I suggest a carry handle?
That would be nice.
The only way I could put a carry handle would be to attach one with glue or such. Very interesting thought though
@@VeritableOutdoors Perhaps place the ends of the handle into the bag, with the loop of the handle extending beyond the top of the open bag. Then seal the handle in place when you seal the top of the bag closed. If that description makes sense? Might need to experiment to confirm it is strong enough to bear the weight of the contents.
@@billburr5881 Thanks, I'm gonna try that on my next batch
