it's normal there is no pop/crakle because they didnt map it on version with OPF to not damage OPF etc. only on N mode you can hear it a little. Mine is stock exhaust 2020 OPF and can hear pop on neutral rev, but not when driving, for sure they maped to delete pop on mine (automatic gearbox).
I've got a 12/2018 Cooper S with OPF and it does pops and bangs a lot and sometimes very loud! Anthing after 06/2019 has a different map and no more burbles..
Hey lads wondering what you would do if you choose what to do with these exhausts. I do a bit of tig as well but never done an exhaust. As you guys know what your doing thought it would be interesting to hear what you would do. I hate cars that are ridiculously loud I’d probably like to keep the muffler and resonater just make it a little more throaty.
All Minis made after 2019 no longer make pops and bangs from the factory, If someone wanted a Cooper S made after 2019, they'd have to change out their ECU or do other significant mods.
Yo sounds good I’ve got a 2018 Mini Cooper s f56 I went for a 3 and half inch pipe and 4inch tip sounds nuts the minis come with b48 engine same as the bmw 118i 2L twin turbo

Tbh this was a good mod for this vehicle. This was an OPF/GPF model and backbox delete sounded spot on tbh!
