Prochian Overture - May 6, 2004

20 years ago today was my debut as a composer. I was granted an opportunity to perform Prochian Overture, a piece I wrote for my high school band. My band director mentored me and encouraged me throughout the process, and though I like to imagine that I have improved since then (and I ditched the frosted tips soon after this), the chance to have my music performed was really the rocket-fuel I needed to keep going as a young artist.
