Hey Kris, thanks for sharing. I 100% agree with Voddie's message . On the aspect of fathers/ men, as a pastor here in my country would put it" every man needs a man in his life". When i look at my life, who I am as a man today is because of the many men who have mentored me directly or indirectly, from my father right down, and I'm grateful for male influence in my life and now i try to be that influence in other young men lives because of the positive impact it has on mine. I can go on and on about this topic. But Grace and peace to you . Blessings

Everyone blames the outside world and hates accountability. You even see it in children. My husband's brother is agnostic and when I see my niece I try to plant seeds about Jesus. And I was telling her how all people are bad and she's only seven and she said "no, some people are really bad. "

Father's are important...but the only way they can have an impact is if they are present and emotionally involved in the raising of a child. I grew up in a two parent household, but my father contributed only a pay check. We had a holy fear of our mother. My father was physically in the house, but was not involved in raising my siblings and I. I grew up hearing "Wait till your mother gets home." It saddens me that I was not shown a firm, gentle, assertive man. My sisters and I went to men who were just like our dad, or worse. It is hard to be an honorable wife when you're married to someone who lacks drive and assertiveness. I have to work and pursue promotions to ensure the kids have what they need due to the lack of motivation of my husband. And I wrestle daily to not become bitter about things and chastise myself over and over. Men, just because you're in the home doesn't me nothing! What are you doing when you step foot in the door? That's what counts!

I agree with everything I’ve heard from Voddie today in these clips. Yes, black Americans have had the odds stacked against us, but we contribute to a lot of the destruction we see in our personal lives and families. God is only for us when God is before us. Too many people (of every color) walk in the opposite direction of God and expect good results. That’s like running the opposite direction of the goal line expecting to win the race. You won’t even qualify no matter how fast or good you’ve ran.

  • @horridhenry9920

I’ve heard Voddie say this before that the bible was a collection of “historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses, that report supernatural events that took place in fulfilment of specific prophecies , and they claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin”. That’s the claim, but it’s demonstrably false.
Who are the eyewitnesses? We have no evidence for the supernatural. The Jews don’t think Jesus fulfilled prophecy. Men wrote the Bible.

unfortunately, calvinists are presented in public spheres as christians, when in fact they have a different gospel of pre-election and no individual free-will. this makes Jesus irrelevant and assigns the attributes of satan to the calvinist god, which makes calvinism incoherent and falsifies the Bible. no rational athiest can accept calvinism, and because it is presented as Christianity athiests also feel justified to reject the True Gospel of Jesus Christ because they think is the calvinist gospel. and that's exactly why Shapiro keeps inviting calvinists, to disparage Christianity, even tho he knows they're nothing alike.

In Ephesians 5 husbands are commanded to love their wife like Jesus loved his bride, which is the full collection of Christians worldwide, by laying his life down for her on the cross so that she would be sanctified through the water (spiritual refreshment) of the word of God. So even though Jesus did not marry in the physical since, he married in the greater / spiritual sense by providing salvation for those the Father gave him before creation, and in everything he did and continues to do, he loves, teaches, provides, protects, and comforts those who trust in him leading up to the consummation of our covenant which occurs at his second coming. Logically and practically there can be no greater man than the one who is God and became a man and lived in perfect righteousness.
All husbands are to follow Jesus' example as a husband by devoting their lives to God and serving their wives in sacrificial, benevolent love so that by grace they will be more like Jesus and ultimately be presented to him as pure and spotless by God's grace through their lifelong service as a husband.
Similar duties of a husband, which Jesus also exemplified in his ministry, carry over and apply to how fathers are to raise their children, and that's in Ephesians chapter 6.
