Man that 5 of cups and 3 of swords were gut punches! The Kings actually reminded me a lot of the mary-el tarot. Really hope this deck makes it to mass production
I bought mine in August 2018 too... I'm so glad I did.. I absolutely adore this deck. It's really special and as I held this deck could feel the wonderful energy. This deck is my most treasured possession ! Not kidding ! OMG I LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH !!!!!!! My husband bought this for me for a Christmas-Yule present two and a half years ago and let me say that it was worth the wait !!!!!!! I had participated in some of the Bonestone facebook group but i didn't watch every single one because i was waiting for the element of surprise ! I knew it was going to be Beautiful and Amazing but it Blew me away when i opened it :-) It was so worth the money and the wait ! I really hope they do a second edition for all the people who weren't able to get it the first time around because it is an absolute Treasure ! So glad you got a copy Simon ! Wonderful walkthrough Simon :) I was looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. The deck is absolutely sensational and magical, and I feel so blessed to have a copy. After missing out on the Indie Light Seers, I couldn't pass it up. It's quite interesting that you feel similarities with the decks - the Bonestone and Earthflesh carries the raw primal, instinctual earthy energy and Light Seers almost feels like a continuation/evolution of that. I'll pair them up in a reading and see how it goes :)
I really hope that she reconsiders and makes another printing of this deck. The only card I find jarring is the magician. It's lovely and beautiful, but looks so much like Ian McKellen's Gandalf the Grey..it just throws me for a moment. And is the guide book referring to him as the Grey One? That just kind of echos the LOTR feeling. And I love LOTR', but finding it Gandalf in a "not LOTR tarot" is strange.
I almost bought the Encore tarot for the edges too! I pulled myself together at the last minute. Last time I bought a deck just for the backs I was sorry. It was the deck that had the same backs as the Vintage Wisdom tarot...anyway. Already having a really profound experience with the Bonestone. I told my husband about every single card...made it a campfire story. I think I might have lost him at the end...but tears were definitely shed. Loved your walkthrough. I think it might help along a second printing if enough buzz is out there. Happy Full Moon!

Good the artist didn't turn the Kings into animals. This is a well balanced deck, energy wise.
