      Dont give tomatoes for your dog, can be toxic! Amazing video guys, love you!

    • @Ursula.canada
      @Ursula.canada 12 дней назад +1

      @@rymns from American kennel club: Can Dogs Eat Tomatoes?
      The answer is yes and no. Dogs can eat tomatoes but only in small amounts. Ripe tomatoes are considered nontoxic to dogs and can be fed in moderation as an occasional snack.
      While it’s considered safe for dogs to eat red, ripe tomatoes, the plants themselves are part of the nightshade family of vegetables (which also include potatoes, bell peppers, and blueberries). There are toxins in tomato plants that can harm your dog.
      Solanine and its cousin tomatine are toxins found mostly in the green parts of the tomato plant. That means that your dog should never ingest the leaves and stems of tomato plants and should avoid young, green tomatoes. Ingesting an unripe (green) tomato or any of the green parts of the tomato can lead to symptoms of tomatine poisoning.

    The reason "on either side" is used instead of "on both sides" is that "either" implies a choice between two distinct options, whereas "both" simply indicates the presence of two things. Using "either" can give the phrase a slightly more nuanced or flexible meaning, even though the ultimate meaning is the same.

  • @Rocadamis
    @Rocadamis 16 дней назад +69

    As an editor and publisher I can say unequivocally that Melissa is absolutely correct. It is "each side" not "either side". Think of it like this, these words are partners: "either/or" and "neither/nor" and represent "options" of one OR the other. Yes, "both sides" works as well. Love you guys! ❤

Put in oven at 350°F for an hour or so, been a while since I've done it myself so time and temp are approximate. After cooked just slice like a loaf of bread and enjoy... Love your content. Just a couple of tips: lettuce you can cut the leaves off one inch from the soil and they will grow back. Arugula is a permanent crop. If you cut it one inch from the soil it will grow back each year. It does start to dwindle around 5 years and ready for a new planting. I live in a 40 degree below climate and they come back strong. Lol Melissa you are correct. It is each side and either means one or the other. Either you do or you don't. Love the discussions.😂

    I want to make a suggestion on the greenhouse you are planning on building. Have you thought about building an in ground greenhouse? I have one that is four feet in the ground and it is amazing! I can grow tomatoes in it from April-November, when my normal growing season is only mid June-mid September. My neighbor has an above ground and it still freezes later in the spring and earlier in the fall. The ground in my greenhouse never freezes. The ground outside is usually frozen soild November through March here. That is quite the difference. I have done a little winter gardening with greens. They didn't grow much during the coldest months, but they lived and I had beautiful greens extra early with a covered box inside the greenhouse. Just a suggestion to look into this type of greenhouse, you won't be disappointed. Just be aware that too deep can block light on the south side.

    Suggestions for the giant pumpkins: Back in the 1970s and 1980s we used to can the pumpkin cut in cubes of approximately 1cm covered in lemon juice and sugar water. It made a delicious desert. Mashed pumpkin makes a very good filler for jams. Especially with very sour fruits using mashed pumpkin as a filler greatly reduces the amount of sugar needed for the final product.

    I experienced the same issue with Burpee Blue Lake green bean seeds. I planted two rows, and less than half of the plants were bush beans. The majority were pole beans. Unless picked when young, the pole beans are stringy, so I quit picking them.
    Fortunately, I planted a 3rd row of green beans of a different variety (Provider), and they have done very well. I gave some away to family and friends, and also put some in the freezer. If I would have planted the other two rows with the same variety, I would have had a ton of green beans! (Another plus this year is the bug damage has been very minor. Some years, the bugs chew on nearly every bean ruining the crop.)
    Btw, one of my neighbors had the same issue with pole beans when he thought he had planted bush beans. Somebody at Burpee messed up big time!

    1. one or the other of two:

      Consider seed shaking that arugula on the edge of wood stands or other places where it might grow unattended, or not. Pollinators seem to really like arugula flowers; especially the early season ones. I would imagine deer would like the arugula its self. Again, the key here is unattended and if it doesn't survive or thrive, the seeds and/ or plants just add some conpost goodness.

      @@terryhenderson424 Because the native soil is so alkaline here, it actually fizzes if you put vinegar on it! 🤪 I use container gardening. I buy a good quality potting soil, compost, and fertilizer…. I think our 100+ temperatures all summer stresses the plants. Even though my garden is covered in shade cloth once the temperatures get to 95 here… Things still get pretty stressed. I do look forward to cold weather crops, those do well all winter, since we only have 2 or 3 really cold nights most winters.

    Love the tile job! The apartment looks great! I wish my garden looked as good as yours. We tried growing squash, zucchini, cucumbers, bush beans, romaine lettuce, bell peppers, jalapeño peppers and tomatoes. We didn’t get anything except a few Jalapeños, 2 bell peppers and a few tomatoes. It looked like the plants were growing but they never grew flowers or the ones that did have flowers didn’t grow female flowers. It’s so frustrating I don’t understand what we did wrong. Your guys garden was doing so good even the weeds were thriving. 😜 I am glad you guys have gotten so much produce. Great video!

    Melissa is correct about the grammar. Just a suggestion to hang a hook at the far end of the shower (away from the shower head) and hang your rack for shampoos, etc on it. It stays dryer and the rack stays nice looking longer.

      @@gardenx5574 I'm sorry, but having faith in YAH, in YAHUSHA (Jesus Christ REAL NAME) mighty name, there is NO religion. Religion was brought upon by the catholic church and all religion is branched off from there. Religion was created by the enemy. Following religion is what YAHUAH is talking about when He says come out of her my people in the bible. Religion doesn't teach His true word. The Holy Spirit is what leads us to truth, I preach to people to listen to the Holy Spirit and not just man. Not one time does he say to follow religion in the bible. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is one and they are not a religion.
      So to answer your question, knowing the true names of our creator and saviour is not of any religion. Just of one faith.

    Either means either the right side or either the left side...
    One that gets me here in East TN is that people will say, "I don't care to do it for you." Instead of saying, "I don't mind doing it for you."

    Regarding the wasps (hornets as called the) have you thought of putting up wasp traps? As it will help keeping them down! You can put them up around the garden and around the house, as they get trapped and they drown in the fluid.
    However the garden still looks productive and Gabby’s bathroom looks awesome.

    Around the edge of y'all's garden, you'll need to print some citronella plants, because the simple fact of it is it'll keep the bees and the wasp and all that away. I don't know if you want to, but there you go.Peppermint plants around some of your plants will keep the bees and the wasps and stuff away too
