Thank you so much..this really helped..also what I did when I joined the top ones on was to sticky tape the join so it would be easier.....I'm using it for my jigsaw puzzles plus other stuff.....bunnings need a like to this video so others can use it
great video and watching this in 2023, the toilet paper comments at the end cracked me up, it was so bad in Australia hahah well done, thank you for the video =D
When you say it's not as strong as advertised, how much would you think would be safe to put on it? I wanted to get it for my aquariums, plants and terarriums, which can get pretty heavy, but definitely not 150kg, maybe around 60kg per shelf. Do you think it would be safe?
I wouldnt. Maybe if you bolt the back to a brick wall it would be OK but the shelves are only about 9mm MDF, and not supported by much, and the frame is not the best. There are much stronger ones out there, including from Bunnings, but obviously they cost more. Get at least 20mm MDF for those sort of things, especially since it might get wet.
@@StevesElectronicRepairShop Thank you! That's very helpful. :) I would be happy to get more expensive one, I'm just very particular about the size and only this brand had the exact sizing I needed. I will look for something else, as per your recommendation. Thanks! 🙂
@@oliverturpin1723 You could cut the angle bits in the corners to any height you want. You just need the 'middle' shelf to be where the upper and lower angle sections meet to help hold them together. That means the shelves might end up sitting a bit unevenly, unless you took the same amount off the top and bottom ones to keep the middle shelf centered.

Sticky tape is a good idea.
Thanks heaps for making/uploading this video. I was stuck on the midsection. 😁😁😁
Highlight for me was the loud crow at 9:30 🐦. One of the best instructional vids online and honest opinion of quality, thnx 👍
Technically its a Forest Raven, but everyone calls them Crows. You can check out my bird videos on Birds of the Huon Tasmania.
