Hello, thank you for your video, it was very useful. Just one question: while I'm sharing a page or a document is it possible to scroll it from my Google meet window? Thank you!
Wow -- this is an EXCELLENT introduction to Google Meet. One question: since Jamboard is being eliminated by Google at the end of 2024, what is the replacement functionality? thanks!!
Hello! Right now recording is only available for paid versions of Google accounts. But I’m working on a new video to show how you can record Google Meet for free. Stay tuned!
Hi Steph, I was about to dismiss using Meet for live streaming guests, until I saw your great video! Question: Is it possible to place names under the guests, or even split up each guest's image to use in OBS studio? Thanks, and I also enjoyed your catchy sense of humor!
Hello! Thank you for watching my videos! As far as I know, Google Meet is not able to do that, but Zoom can. I have another similar video on Zoom tutorial coming up this Sunday, do keep a lookout for it! And thank you for the kind words! ❤️
I'm going to use this in a meeting Monday. I'm fairly adept at Zoom, but my people don't have a Zoom account, so we can do this as we all have Gmail. My question is about the whiteboard. I can test it myself but maybe you're faster (tho you're in Singapore so ...)....when using the Whiteboard, and sketching, as you showed, is there a "text" (typing) mode? My large desktop screen is NOT a touchscreen so as to enable sketching (tho my Chromebook is). My colleagues and I are working on a paper together and there is a blank template for the project; so while meeting, I could show the template somehow and if there is a typing element, we could look at it being filled in as we meet (you get the idea). What are your thoughts about how to make that go smoothly?
Hey thanks for watching! Jamboard is going to be discontinued by 2024, I would suggest you install Miro, which is the alternative replacement for Jamboard and try using that instead. I just checked Google Meet again (after your message) and it seems they have removed Jamboard from the Activities tab. Good to get yourself familiarised with Miro before Monday!
Thank you for sharing your knowledgeable using google meet. It's great information to start using google meet for beginner like me. I have a question that I like to use musics from my laptop as the background music during yoga teaching. I don't want to share the screen of music I want to focus sharing screen on my teaching that people are able to see me. Thank you in advance for your suggestion.
Hi! Thank you for watching and I'm glad it helped. Unfortunately there is a limitation to the use of audio with video on Google Meet. For myself I use a more professional setup that uses a switcher called the Atem Mini, which I can audio and visual to the device and send them out as a source.
@@StephLeeTech Thank you for your quick response. Does it complicate to do Atem Mini? If it's not, may you please give me direction how to do it? Your kind assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Leonardo if you want to share your PPT, you can click on Present Now (to share your screen) and select the Window or Entire Screen option and then share the powerpoint slide

At 5:58 you see that when you start a meeting, you can see the meeting code. Alternatively if you are already in the meeting, you can see the meeting code at the bottom left corner of your Google Meet interface. Hope that helps!
To host or schedule a Google Meet, you will need a Google account. However, your friend can join a Google Meet meeting without a Google account if someone with a Google account creates the meeting and has enabled the “Anyone with the link can join” setting. Hope that helps!
Hi... Sorry to interrupt... Does anyone here know where can I get any info on using Google Meet with Samsung A8 tab. My problem is when I am sharing a screen I am not allowed to use my cam. My students can see me but they can see what I am sharing. Such case doesn't happen to windows. I have just bought the tab and I feel sad as I tried to look for a way for my students to see me while presenting and sharing screen with them. They complained as they couldn't see me. Can someone help me please? 🙏🙏🙏🙏😢
For 100,000 people you cannot use Meetings but instead have to use a Livestream function which are usually paid versions of the account. You can check out the price plans for Google Workspace at workspace.google.com/pricing.html. Alternative Zoom has a Webinar function and Microsoft Teams has Townhall which allows you to stream view-only large scale events.
