Please do 'Sweet Dreams, TN' next. It's one of their best songs and Alex Turner's vocals are amazing!

"Lush" is the first word that comes to my mind when listening to this, and this is a compliment. Really takes me back to late 60s pop a la early Bowie; it has a light touch, but the touch lingers. Songs like this are exactly the reason I check out every reaction on this channel! I went ahead and checked out some other songs on the album, and there's a good range of feeling and style throughout. Thanks to Sarah Martin for the request!

Thanks again! In live versions of the song, Alex sings “Joh-an-na” over the three notes after “I’m sorry I left you”. It's rumored the song is about one of his previous relationships. I think there’s a lot of reads on the meaning though. It feels like ‘the meeting place’ oscillates between being a physical place and a metaphor for their relationship.

    Great reaction men.
Tlsp are such a great live band. I would recommend a live couver they do of David Bowies Moondog daydream I think you'd love it.

Last shadow puppets would tour with a string section, fantastic live. They do an unbelievable version of Moonage daydream. U must listen to Hang the Cyst, super super song.

"It sounds like the 60s, it sounds like Beach Boys, it sounds like Moody Blues" 😅 THATS your reaction to this fresh, unique MASTERPIECE of a song. Wow. How do you feel when you hear it, do you even read the lyrics with the song? LYRICS genius. My heart, my past loves, a fast drive on a highway. Alex and Miles singing together is magic. I mean... They sound like TLSP, that's it

Nice tune. It reminds me of Scott Walker (who was also a huge influence on early David Bowie). The lush soundscape really makes it stand out.

I adore The Last Shadow Puppets! Dare I say it even more than The Arctic Monkeys! Must be the heavily orchestrated sound. Love other heavily orchestrated albums like Forever Changes by Love and Ocean Rain by Echo & the Bunnymen for example. Definitely don’t agree about Gerry and the Pacemakers lol! Definitely agree about the 60’s vibes though but more Scott Walker to me. Both puppets albums are great!

Age of the Understatement by the same band is brilliant! Would love to know what you make of it, very 60s with a twist!
