Yes!! My sweet doggo is a rescue from Mexico and she was free 😅 I wouldn’t trade her for anything! Also - purebred dogs can have a lot more health problems!
@@Sarah-mc3hw yes so cute! My childhood dog was a rescue Australian kelpie cross and she was so loving and beautiful. I know have 2 cats, both rescues. 1 was $75 and is 15 years old and has lived overseas with us, and our newest kitty is 2 years old and was $175.
definitely being open minded and we're not leaning one way over the other! $5,000 isn't just purchase price- that's to cover general costs like food, toys, early vet bills etc. whether we rescue or not 🥰

I'm planning a wedding at the moment which means I break down all my payments into weekly/monthly and break down the goals into personal and financial to get it all done. Since finding your wedding planning videos a couple months ago I have been an avid follower of your budget videos. I too keep track of our wedding budget in excel and loved comparing yours to ours since we are all the way up in Queensland. I have also recommended your Wedding budget video on a facebook group, so thankyou for being so relatable and giving me something to look forward to! Haven't been a consistent youtube watcher for the longest time so it is so nice!

Dogs are so expensive. Our furbaby cost us 3k and then add in all the things that they constantly need, and a baby on the way eekk. Love your content babe x
being newly married is irrelevant. Our wedding is 100% paid for, we our building a house and have an emergency fund and a healthy savings. Getting a dog is just our next life goal and setting $5,000 aside for a new dog is just the responsible thing to do. Also I am employed again if you watched the video ahahaha

Also, there are heaps of breed specific rescues and a lot of puppies come through if you're after a particular breed (foster with one in Aus)
