Acho que muito pela experiência real que ele viveu. Ele consegue se identificar nos versos. São análises muito ricas APESAR da barreira da língua. Imagine se o cara soubesse as gírias, tivesse conhecimento das metáforas, etc.

Don't let the criticism affect you, you're doing a good job and absorbing our culture, you really feel and try to understand what was said in the music. It's very hard to catch some slangs and jokes that are done in other languages, like i saw a meme in a web novel that i was reading that make reference to Lil Jon and Leroy Jenkins that until now i don't understand.

The NERVE of some people to criticize someone for not getting absolutely 100% of all bars of a song in a language they don't speak, from a country they've never been, about a culture they have limited access to. I wonder how hard it must be to type a comment with a head so deep buried into one's ass.
Don't give them any time of your day. Translating anything is not an easy thing, much less hip-hop/rap that have lyrics filled with poetry and cultural references. Not to mention expressions that are so common that we forget are slangs ("a guy from the night" would be one of them). And you still understand the true meaning of it better than most people I follow, including Brazilians. To me you're one of the best music reactors nowadays (alongside with GoonyGoogles and Akram Vibez), it's visible that you know hip-hop, know the reality they're talking about and you make the connections very quickly. It's very enjoyable to watch!

Não liga pra quem tá reclamando não que o brasileiro de hoje tá muito chato. Não pode falar de política, o conteúdo não tá bom o suficiente... A galera que critica não acompanha seus vídeos. Eu acompanho e fico muito feliz por ver que você estuda, procura entender o contexto social que é até pior do que você consegue imaginar só ouvindo as histórias por se tratar de algo que é um absurdo na sua sociedade à anos já e realmente é absurdo. Isso foi o que fez o rap ser tão forte principalmente nos anos 80 e 90 por se tratar de uma pós ditadura militar muito violenta e racista. Foi a primeira vez que o pobre teve voz e tocou no rádio e até na tv. Foi revolucionário e evolucionário e foi uma febre que se alastrou por cada beco como uma droga mas era um remédio. A maior arma do pobre... Conhecimento e o gatilho pra entender que a gente pode se unir pra derrubar o sistema opressor.

Já que você se esforça pra entender vou explicar mais uma coisa sobre ostentação no Brasil, quando eles falam de marcas top de linha tudo é pago em dólar com juros altíssimos mas nós recebemos nosso salário em real que vale 5,50 vezes a menos. Ou seja, se aí um produto custa 10 dólares aqui provavelmente custa 55 mais ou menos. A Kawasaki que custava uns 30 mil dólares aí chutando um valor aleatório custava uns 90 mil aqui. E o salário mínimo nessa época era menos de 120 reais. Menos de 35 dólares. Por isso os versos têm tanta profundidade. A miséria era muita.

A galera precisa entender que a tradução para o inglês realmente fica difícil de achar o contexto pq uma palavra em inglês trazendo pro português têm, as vezes, uns 15 significados diferentes.
