@Tanishq Raj Prasad for apartment price decreases ...depreciation value ...the price you pay is for area / location and view and amenities....u will not feel the heat in Kolkata as it is a second level state when it comes to urbanization ....follow property price in Bangalore / Bombay / Noida / Gurgaon etc .....price goes up exponentially if a area grows ...but Kolkata never saw that kind of growth so prices are overall moderate throughout the city ....if a city sees more people coming from other states that's when rental and property price increases ...but no one out side of west bengal wants to go and settle in WB ....even if u take government officials like IPS or bank officials who got transferred to Kolkata just somehow complete their tenure and run away ...there is hardly any outsiders who came to Kolkata for job, liked the place and got settled ...so there is no property demand from outsiders ...and Bengal people won't pay very high in their own state .....the are already settled and have at least 1 home ....they won't pay huge amounts to acquire any new property....

What are current property rates in kolkata. In Mumbai property rates are too high..1 BHK non furnished flat having carpet area aprox 400-450 Sq.ft cost close to 1 crore. Ofcourse it depends on so many other factors like connectivity, nearby market, station, good location & facilities in building society etc. But normaly in avg location 1 bhk flat price start with 70 plus lacs & in good location it will go beyond 1 Crore and as I mentioned carpet area is small ..aprox 400 to 450 sq.ft
