I have finished my internet upgrade thanks to Andrew's series, and my results are awesome! I was a happy T-Mobile Home Internet customer before the upgrade, but this new set-up is worth making some changes. I'm now using a NetBuddy Cudy 4G LTE Router (LT18) with a T-Mobile SIM ($39.95/mo unlimited data, no throttling ever). The Waveform 4x4 MIMO External Panel Antenna greatly increased my speeds from 40-70 Mbps to 150-200 Mbps download (yes, I actually hit 204.37 this morning) and 1-5 Mbps upload to 20-50 Mbps upload. Thanks to Google Earth, I know that my cell tower is exactly 3335 meters (2.07 miles) from my antenna. Google Earth is also a handy tool for getting your antenna aimed directly at the tower. Thanks for posting this series. I don't think I would have done this without watching it.
That's great to hear and amazing speeds, especially for the cheap monthly price. I'm very happy to hear stories like these and see people get usable internet for affordable prices. Take care!
How did you get a rate that low? Do you have a phone with them.
@@cliffsalisbury7714 I canceled my T-Mobile Home Internet plan through T-Mobile and returned their router to them. It was $50 a month. The exact same service thru NetBuddy is $40 a month, but you are purchasing your own router from NetBuddy. The equipment costs will eventually pay for itself after a couple years. In my opinion, the ability to add an external antenna and the increase speeds were worth the equipment investment. I work in IT and now work remotely out of my home office, and the speed increase has made some noticeable improvements.
Cliff watch my series on routers, antennas and service. All links are in every video description. Point being buy your equipment and plans from 3rd parties and you get this awesome unlimited service AND expandable equipment.

Thanks for the information. Correct me if I am wrong but you are only using 4g, not five. I am closer to a tower and have Mint Mobile phone which comes off a local tower with in a mile. I have internet over the phone line and only get 15 down and 2 up and pay almost $70.00 a month for the internet.
11:10 - (paraphrase) "Wires hanging off the side of my house, I don't care ya'll, I need some internet" - no doubt!! That's gold 💕
Andrew, of all the RUclips videos I've watched on this Waveform antenna, yours was the most fast-paced and useful. You have an incredible ability to explain stuff, make it interesting, and show how to put it to work quickly. This really helps me out. Many thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for the update. Watched many of your videos about the Internet earlier this year. We ended up going with T-Mobile in July with their Arcadyan gateway. It was good by itself over what we had with satellite, increased speeds from 5Mbps to 15Mbps down and 1Mbps to 5Mbps up. Closest tower is about 10 miles away. A few weeks after getting it, decided to give the Waveform MIMO 4x4 a try. We had a lot of rainy weather so wasn't able to put it up outside, so I mounted it in the attic. Blew my socks off when we started getting 50Mbps down and 15Mbps up and continual signal, not dropping when a cloud passes by. After a month, moved it outside to an old satellite dish pole that was about 6ft high next to the house. The roof here isn't conducive to mounting an antenna bracket. So, I got 2 3-ft extenders and mounted the MIMO 4x4 about twelve feet off the ground. Ran the cable through the same path they used a decade ago for the old Hughes Net. Now I'm flabbergasted at the speeds. I'm pushing close to 150Mbps down and 50Mbps up. We've lived here for 8 years in the country and never had anything like this. We get unlimited data on a plan that is 1/10th of what we paid before just for the Exede satellite Internet. We also canceled the Dish and switched over to a Roku setup and have more things to watch/stream than we did before and that was another $125+ we don't spend each month. So 4 months into this, the antenna has been paid for in the savings of things we have canceled. Thank you for starting these videos!
That's great to hear and amazing speeds! Happy for you
My tmobile tower is 5 miles away, will use the 4x4 mimo...thanks
WOW Andrew - you are doing good work sir for us rural folks! Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it
T-Mobile says I’m not even covered in my area but got the 4/5g cudy router and 4x4 mimo anyways. Router came in first and I had 1.4 mbs down. After installing the antenna I got 56.7 down and I don’t even think I have it pointed just right yet. BEST VID I EVER WATCHED.❤❤❤
Glad it's working for you
Get yourself a small outdoor network junction box to house all the connections. Mount it to the pole right under the antenna. It will clean it up and look a lot better. It will also keep the connections from corroding as bad.
Thanks!
Thank you very much
I learned about cellular Internet through Andrew's video series. We've struggled with slow DSL service in the mountains of Western North Carolina for years. Frankly, I was skeptical about cellular Internet because I thought I'd have heard about it before. Fortunately, I decided to try it. I bought a 4G-only cellular modem and the flat panel antenna mentioned in this video. Our dl speed increased from an average with DSL service of 3-4 Mbps to about 60 Mbps. Upload increased from 0.5 (½ Mbps) to about 6 Mbps. These speeds have been relatively consistent, too.
Happy to hear you are getting better results and reliable internet.
Hi from the middle of the ocean. Love the video. Great information for rural subscribers.
Hope you are enjoying your vacation
I'm glad I found your channel. We'll be moving to the country in a few months, so this is crucial info for me! Thank you!!!
It's been a life saver for me.
Hi, Andrew! Finally, I am caught up. The shorts are entertaining. My beagle Franklin is napping beside my chair. Great content. You are very thorough. You are helping lots of people with your videos. See you Sunday at 5:00.
Thank you for watching, see you then.
Very helpful , In a similar predicament with rural living .
The struggle is real!
Thank you for the information Andrew
Thank you for watching
We have reached out Michael and have a spot in line, and we went to our local Verizon store as they are our carrier and they told us since we are on the pre-paid plan we are not eligible for the data plan and it's still not available here in parts of East Texas. Thanks for all the great information, when we get a chance we try to catch up on your posts, keep up all the awesome work!
Don't go to the Verizon store, they've already given you bad information. It clearly states on the Verizon website that you get a DISCOUNT on prepaid data for already being a prepaid cellular user. Stick with 3rd party options for the plans, these workers for the national carriers seem to get zero training.
Thank you for doing this with you on what you’re using for your Internet Andrew
Thank you for watching
.
Yeah Andrew, you're so Sexy 🥰😍🤩😅🤣😂💋💋💋
I bought the same panel antenna, and replaced a similar yagi set up as you had. My results were them same as yours. Slightly less speed with the panel antenna.
Awesome educational video. Keep up making great content.
Excellent review and great speeds. Two things are gonna take your speeds and WiFi to the next level.
Maybe see if you can get those antennas mounted 15/20ft up. I know you get some high winds so that might not be possible. Secondly, see if your router does IP passthrough. If so, basically offload those speeds to a mesh system like Orbi or TP Link Deco and you'll get those top speeds everywhere in your house.
Interesting results with the different antennas. It’s true as the seasons change that the leaf growth affects the cell coverage. Back in the old analog days, cell providers would have to go adjust the output level of the transmitters in the spring to make up for the signal absorption by the leaves and vegetation that were in the path of the coverage area, and then go back in the fall when the leaves all fell off of the trees and back the power output down. The new digital systems and frequencies used are not as negatively affected by the leaves and vegetation, but having a clear line of site path from the tower to the antenna will provide the best reliable service.
We need to get you about 4 sections of Rohn 55G tower sections and build you a self supporting tower that you can attach all of the different antennas on at the same time to do more in-depth experiments with.
Interesting, now you've got me wondering what results will be like in a few months.
Hello - I'm in a rural foothills section of East TN. I've thought of setting up a tower to get the reach needed. I'm 2.5 miles away from nearest tower. Great suggestion, this Rohn55G tower is exactly what I'm looking for! I suppose I would need to rent a lift so I could properly erect the tower and mount the equipment, Yes? I've worked on lifts before in my IBEW days.
@@gwlane5509 The Rohn tower is fairly easy to erect. They make a special device called a Jin Pole that you use to raise each section into place. I built a 50 ft tower several years ago using the Rohn 25G and the longest part of the project was setting 1st section in a concrete base and waiting for it to harden. Did that one weekend and the next weekend me and a friend were able to erect the other 4 sections in a couple of hours and mount my antennas on the top.
You could use a lift or small crane as well. The highest you can get with your antennas will greatly improve your efficiency in your system.
Thanks for the hard work. I can't wait to see if a Poynting XPOL-6 will help with the pretty bad signals I'm getting. Having scouted around the house with the Network Cell Info app I just happened to find an almost completely hidden BAND 1 LTE signal that gives -5 to -8 DB RSRQ and 23DB SNR! it is hidden just above the roof edge and disappears when going higher. Going higher shows another B41 signal that doesn't even come close. I've located the exact place where the signal is being sent from ( very nicely disguised on top of a shop ).
Now I'm just waiting for the antenna to arrive to do the experiment. Should be very interesting results.
You can get starlink with in two weeks if you order the rv set up, same as residential just portable.
Yeah but I am not hearing good things from friends about that service, throttling, lower priority and less upload speeds than I am getting. Plus my unlimited service is $40 a month. Hard to beat!
I have T-Mobile home internet in my house. Uses b66 LTE and n71 5G and delivers 350-400 download and 80-100 upload. No external antenna, just the stock device. Amazing!
It is amazing, you must be very near a tower.
@@TKCL It is very close, maybe 0.5 to 1 mile away, but there is almost nobody in my area. In the 3 towns that the tower reaches, the total population is around 1,000. Many people also use AT&T or Verizon due to them having better coverage in the area, giving the T-Mobile network almost 0 congestion.
like the video. is looking for good service what counts and saving money. be bless
Just received my panel from MIMO. This video timing couldn't have been more perfect.
Great to hear!
.
Hi,
Try it at ground level first as you may not even need to elevate it depending on your situation many people just put it on the side of their house or even inside in an attic and get good results if the signal is strong enough?
@@jp34604 Many thanks. I'll try that!
Do I need the whole kit or just the antenna
You need the kit, that includes all wires and connections.
Hi Andrew. Interesting, I wished I understood that stuff as well as you do. 🌞🇨🇦
Still learning myself
just unpacked my new 5G router in T mobile from this video and getting 346.99down and 50.73 up. This is great thanks for the info.
Holy cow! That's amazing speeds, especially for the price! Awesome

Been waiting on this video lol! I like this style antenna better and it seems to do pretty good. I'm really needing to get some security cameras up and running and of course some internet to watch the ball game lol. So I hope this will do the trick for me. Thanks!
I like this style too
This is what I was searching for last days. The only thing I missed and still am looking for is where is the length limit of the cables to justify setup? With Ethernet cable with PoE and outdoor router all equipment can easily stay anywhere at home. While with external antenna all should be as close as possible to the roof. Any comments on this please. Cheers 🥂
I've been told 30ft or less. Length does play a role in signal loss, the shorter the better.
YEY! There is a playlist for No Starlink internet 4G HYPE! hopefully you can reorder it to oldest to newest too
I have an extra cell phone wonder if I can use the sims card from it in the router or do I need a different one
You'd have to contact Netbuddy to know for sure.
Pro tip. Move your router/access point downstairs closer to your end points if you can. The closer they are, the faster they'll be especially the way the insulation is in your house. 😉 It appears you can unscrew the small antennas and put an external antenna for access as well. Speed Wil increase. Great series BTW.
Here's my experience, downstairs much weaker wifi range. Upstairs pointed north and south with the roof, exceptional range. I'm talking 800 ft of coverage out in the yard. Somehow my roof is turning into a amplifier for the wifi signal. That range is critical for me.

See above for excellent post describing this phenomenon

Great information.

If I were to buy this internet and antenna set up. Are there any more components I need to conect the router and the internet together? Booster or other equipment? Or do I just plug the antenna cables directly into the bunny ear ports on the router itself?
Nothing else needed, both plug together.
Hi love your videos have you tried using a mesh system if you use a your router then plug in a mesh system say google wifi mesh system your signal will go miles round your house as they come with two or three pods in the box and will cover a huge area of your house .
No I have not, don't really see the need as I am currently getting wifi several hundred feet in all directions. It covers all of my outbuildings.
So sort of off topic. My driveway is quite long. I have a gate at end of my driveway I would like to add a camera to. How can I extend wifi signal a good distance away. Probably 300-400ft?
This is exactly what I use, solar powered and uses a cell Sim. ruclips.net/video/LSs8JM6w_7o/видео.html
Thank you so much for the speedy reply!!
Hmmmmm maybe mount and test an antenna on top of the future flagpole??? Hope all is well there folks.
Doing great! Thanks
Didn’t see the links for what you used for tower location. Unfortunately I can’t put antennas out side do to living in apartment but would be nice to know which wall is faces the tower so I can maybe do a indoor booster.
Yikes, I did forget that. Thanks
I want to boost the reception to my cell phone on verizon.
I want to use a 4X4 MIMO antenna on my roof, however I am stuck on the booster box / router to use.
Do routers require a sim card inside it to function? Or can I simply plug in my antennas to it to amplify the signal so my phone can pick up the signal better?
Boosters do not require a Sim. Plug and play.
Andrew tmobile website address finder says it not available for me. But there coverage maps shows it does.
He uses a different provider that resales T-Mobile service, it’s not directly through tmo. He has the link in his other video with the new router and plans.
That's exactly the problem I had, the 3rd party provider I'm now using does not care about your address and will ship whatever plan you request. I'm very happy I chose T mobile, it works well here even though there website said not available.
Link & over view of antenna needs from a understanding DIY viewer.
THANKS
Do these specific antennas only work with the listed three providers. Im from canada so just wondering.
No, they work with any cellular router that has external antenna ports.
If I already have decent speed with my net buddy just sitting in a table, would adding a MIMO add anything? Or would I be wasting my money? And what about 2x2 vs 4x4? Any thoughts? TIA
Add antennas typically makes a dramatic improvement.
With this setup can you connect your cellphone to it so you can talk via wifi? I can connect my verizon cellphone to talk over my cable router when I'm at home.
Sure, it's wifi internet the same as any other router.
I have the Cudy LT 18 and right now running a $35 directional one line down in the MAIN CELLULAR post on the router/modem. Would this setup require me to take off all 4 of the little black antennas on the back to get the better gain/service?
Yes that would be what you need to do on a 4x4 router to get the best signal possible.
Can these thing be sold to people outside the USA?? Is there software attached to these things and do I have to subscribe to any plan to get them to work
I'm not sure, you'll need to contact the company to see if they're compatible with your cellular carriers.
HYPE!

Great catch 👌 👏 👍
can you combine the antennae? Like use the directional and also use the panel to like "collect" the scattered signal that the directional misses?
I'm am not sure if that is possible.
@@TKCL okie dokie, figured i would ask... lololol
What if you raised the yagi antennas higher to get over the trees that way signal is less likely to be interrupted.?.?

How are your wires connected to the modem? Ports 1-4 ?
Wires are labeled 1-4 so I hooked them up that way to my ports.
@@TKCL starting from right to left if looking at at the back of the netbuddy router do 4,2,3,1 please test. I think it will improve your download speed for T-Mobile
hi Andrew and Tiffany my download mbps 54.77 and up land mbps 18.70 in Australia
That's decent take care of most needs.
So the antenna cables hook up to the 4g/5g terminals or the 2ghz5ghz
4g 5g terminals only
Your 4x4 MIMOs are on the should have been swapped from all of the info I have seen online. Could have moved the setup on the right over to the left and been good to go. I may try out a flat panel on my next setup, definitely an easier install.
What if you beefed up your coax? Those look like RG59. Look it up it isn’t recommended.
We always used RG6 at minimum. Which is good for higher frequency and has better attenuation.
For cell boosting equipment (40,000 Sq ft buildings) we always installed RG-11.
I’d look into that… you may see a difference
It's rg240 stamped on the wire. Much thicker than anything I've seen on other cellular devices.
.
Those are all 75 ohm impedance conductors LTE and WiFi CPE is all 50 ohms.
.
LMR-240 50 Ohm coax cable is rated for a 5.8 GHz maximum operating frequency

Good video !
So as long i have cellular in my area it should work
Yes as long as you get the correct Sim card for that carrier.
Dumb question.....do I also need a moden if I get a router?
It's all built in one unit
I was waiting for star link just like you. I was told to ask for the mobile star link and got it in hand in 4 days. Hope this helps
I am aware of it, I just couldn't justify the price increase and that's also with deprioritized service.
Is this for better phone signal & internet signal
This is for internet.
tried to get the unlimited service through net buddies, the are "sold out" really disappointed and hopefully i can get a hold on it soon (already oredered my lte router and antenna)
They've got a lot of business lately and supply is definitely limited on just about everything. They will get them back in stock, keep checking.
Hello Andrew, I’ve enjoyed this video because I too have the same problems as you living in west central Florida. Would you be able to send me a check list of all the items I would need to have to be able to install a similar setup on my house? Bill
The antennas are listed in the video description and the link to Netbuddy for the routers. With this video being older, the router models have been upgraded. I'm not sure what they have in stock at the moment.
Can the panel be used for local channels and radio or is it for cellular only question mark
Cellular only
@@TKCL OK thanks
Hey can you still get internet reception with the tower antenna pointed a different direction?
Sure, but it won't be nearly as fast or solid if a connection.
I just got the t-mobile internet. Way better than Hughes net. I get 29 down and 28 up and 40 latency. Do you think i can get better speeds with net buddy system. I talk to t-mobile support about data caps and being throttled . They say there’s no data caps ,everything unlimited.if i keep t-mobile I’m planing on adding the mimo 4x4 panel.
Tmobile is releasing a unit that you can add antennas, that's what you need to be asking them about. A 4x4 antenna on their new hub would be awesome.
Hey Kelley, I live in rural Michigan and I'm lucky to get 0.7 mps down and 0.4 mps up with a 1 second plus ping. You think I can get that into a decent range with the proper router/4x4 antennas? Or would it still be slow?
This does increase range, but it's all dependent on your tower and signal.
I live in town in Mayo do you think an outdoor Antenna would be needed I’m getting tired of windstream
No idea, depends on your tower location and signal strength. You can always start with a router and then add antennas if necessary.
.
What is your cell service like on a phone in the house?
Did you have to purchase extra cables for when you purchased the waveform 4x4 panel. I feel I I will need extra length to reach where i want to mount the panel antenna? If you read and reply to this I appreciate it in advance. I purchased the router through NetBuddy and its working great so far.
No I was able to setup for the 30ft cables. They do sell longer ones, but I've always been told that makes a difference on signal strength. Stay as short as possible.
Are you still going to do a video on how to find cell towers
Sure am, testing a couple of new routers and I'll include the tower search in that video.
@@TKCL OK thanks. I purchased the most expensive router they had and got tmobile. We just moved somewhere that there wasn't really any internet, but this is working👍. We are in a RV while we are building a house. Once our house is built I want to get an outdoor antenna
What service do u use
T mobile through Netbuddy.
So, i looked up cell mapper and need assistance on how to pick the best one.
Top left corner of the screen select the USA and then chose the provider you are wanting to search for. Click on the map and find your location. Zoom around to all the dots (towers) and clock on each. A box it triangle will come up shaded showing the area the tower is covering.
@@TKCL my tower is 143782. It shows different azmiths, are these different towers? Only one shows 9mbs not the rest. Oh, good morning. Don't mean to be aggravating this early.
@@TKCL i did all that, but there's 5 different #s all with different info. All with a different direction to aim at. How do i choose which one.
Chose the one that shows shaded coverage over your house. Towers are directional and usually setup for different areas. Don't worry about the rest of the information. Your trying to find the carrier that covers your location.
What you are taking down is not called a Yagi. The antenna itself is called a Log-Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) - Having the two antennas on the same mast rotated in opposing directions is called Cross-polarized.
Are the different antennas interchangeable?
Not sure what you are asking??
@The Kelley's Country Life I was asking Tater about antennas. I had stumbled across a video that I thought would tell me what the "front" of the antenna was. I'm guessing the pointy end should be aimed at the tower. Somehow, my phone jumped me to your video. By then I was wanting to know if a square one aimed broadside could be exchanged for a pointy ended one; i.e., can a brand x antenna be plugged into a brand q booster?
Pointy end "logarithmic" antennas should point towards the tower. Flat or panel antennas usually point at the tower, but can sometimes get better signal by pointing towards close by trees or buildings that might be reflecting the towers broadcasted signal.
Hey man was wondering if u could help me try to set one up
Ask away, I will try to answer as best I can.
How far are you from the cell tower?
Depends on which tower. I can't remember the one in this episode but it's probably the tower that's 3 miles away through dense trees.
Thanks for a great video. I do have a question regarding the routers. Can I use a cellular router that I already own with the T-Mobile service through Netbuddy or do they require purchase of the router through them?
Thanks
You'll need to have their service with their router. There's software changes and compatability issues that you can run into with plans other than theirs.
@@TKCL Thank you so much for your rapid response.
Whats your average ping? How far from the nearest tower are you?
Latency is usually around 50 for the idle and varies between 100-150 on the upload and download. Tower in that video was about 3 miles through heavy woods. I have another one about a mile away, but it's not aimed towards me and the signal can be even worse at times.
@The Kelley's Country Life would you say the antenna is worth the $400?
It made a huge difference for me and was a must have. Your situation might be different.
Great video's!
Glad you enjoy the content
Do external antennas require a power source or just connection to the router?
Just connected to the router only
What do you think about internet starlink?
Could never get it, stayed on the wait list for over a year and kept getting delay notices. I think it's a good concept, but still early in the rollout stages and experiencing problems as a result. My internet costs about a third of Starlink plans.
Ok so I don’t know if I am just an idiot or cellmapper doesn’t work for me. It seems to be covered with ads. I am trying to find a solution for my mother who lives in Rural Louisiana and will need a booster for both cell phone usage and wifi. She uses Verizon for cell service and they just changed directions on the antenna’s on their tower and now her cell phone reception is horrible as well. I live near Dallas so I can’t use my locator. Bare with me, recorded an episode today and showed how to properly use cellmapper.net. I'll release as soon as I can, a lot of editing and commitments this week.
Which antenna would you recommend for my application? I am approximately 7 miles straight line from the nearest cell tower with hills and tons of vegetation obstruction.
Probably the panel antenna due to all the obstructions
Can you do a video that shows peeps how to locate the closest tower? I tried the website and wouldn’t show up for me but I know there’s a tower close by.

Hmmmm, yes the router could be locked. You also often have to change the APN settings in the router to recognize the new Sim. That will have to be a question for net buddy, I'm betting on the APN settings.
It shouldn't be locked but it sounds like it is. Netbuddy tech support is non-existent. The only answer I got for having to power cycle my router due to consistent drops in speed is you can return it for a refund. No exchange or technical support in anyway.

I’m at 9000ft of elevation so the aerodynamic nature of this antenna would work better in wind. Thanks so much for all the guidance!
I hope it works for you, those external antennas make a huge difference.
What if you got some wire adapters and hooked up the 4x4 directional with the panel antennas? Think you could get it over 100 Mbps? lol
No, you can only receive in and out 1 4x4 mimo antenna.
Y’all forgive me, I’m not well informed on the correct terminology… Im not sure if I’m just bad at finding information or not putting in enough effort, but I’ve had a hard time understanding the plan options available to me.
I am in a very similar situation and I currently have a netgear nighthawk 6 that picks up my cell signal.
Is it possible for me to purchase one of these antennas and connect it to a 3rd party router? And can this router use the same SIM card that is currently in my net gear device?
I’m very confused and to what technology is compatible with the current provider and data plan that I have (AT&T) and the compatibility between devices. I can’t seem to figure out a good solution…
The problem is if your new router has software that can be configured to recognize the current Sim and IMEI number you have. Not all routers allow this, thus the reason it's better to buy a router and Sim combo from the same seller.
Netbuddy is sold out of routers with sim cards, is there another company with these same options?
They usually get them back in stock quickly, keep checking. No one has been able to compete with their $39.99 a month T mobile.
I reached out to them for info. Drop me a comment again in a day or two and I'll let you know what I find out.
Do I have to buy all this 1000 dollar equipment setup..?
I am working on my upgrade Did you stay with the panel antenna or go back to the YAGI. I am in the tree situation and the directional towers are not pointed toward me but I am hoping I can get the signal. Really do enjoy your videos and I have learned a lot. Wish you hadn't put up that chicken house video the wife saw it and it is on her my todo list.
I stayed with the panel antenna, it just looks better. Get on that Coop! 🤣
Hi Andrew , I received my panel antennae today and was wondering if you could share some guidance on how you hooked up the cables from the antennae to the netbuddy router since the router isn't numbered?
The cables are labeled 1234 and so were the antennas frome what I remembered. I started from left to right on the backside of the router doing 1234 hookups. I hope that makes sense. I tried a couple of combos and got similar results.
@@TKCL Yes that helps a lot. Thank you!
Hey Andrew, came across your channel and enjoy your content. I live in a heavily wooded area in the country in Indiana. I currently have a Chester Cheetah 5G 4x4 mimo cellular router connected to an Eero mesh system. I get a weak 5G signal with the supplied paddle antennas and a strong 4G LTE signal. My downloads vary greatly so I'm interested in getting the Waveform 4x4 Panel. I currently have their 2x2 Mimo Panel antenna in the attic. Do you think connecting this to the Cheetah router will help improve signal strength until I upgrade to the 4x4 Mimo antenna? Also, when mounting outside hou did you seal the opening through which the cables entered the house? Thanks Bud
Hey brother I need some serious help with home WiFi..I live in the mountains of Georgia and I do have dsl here but it stucks big time….I have 1 bar of mobile service which sucks big time.. my question is which is the cheapest and best mobile WiFi I can purchase for my home thanks
That's an impossible question as there are more routers than I could ever test. I will tell you that in my limited experience a cheaper router usually is a slower router and has less capable wifi range too. The cuddy LT18 is probably as cheap as I would go for a cellular router. You first need to use a program like cellmapper.net to see what tower is covering your exact location. You will need to select AT&T, then Verizon and T mobile on the top left drop down menu for United States. You then zoom into your location and click on the dots (towers) to see what one is covering your area. Then go to Netbuddy and pick out a plan and router, here is there link netbuddy.co/?ref=12916
I havethe WaveForm 4x4 with the NetBuddy 5G router, which appears to be a bit different than yours (my 4G/5G connections are on the sides as opposed to the back). The issue I've run into is the order the cables are connected to the router has a SIGNIFICANT impact on speeds. Have you experienced this?
I've contacted NetBuddy about this and they have not been helpful, simply telling me to connect my external antenna to the 4G/5G connections.
You have the newer router it sounds like. I have experienced speed changes with cable swaps. The waveform cables are labeled 1,2,3,4 and on my router I started from left to right looking at the rear of the router connecting 1-4 cables. Play around with the combination and write down the best combo.
I recommended you to Jason from Saw the Land channel, he's having problems with rural internet:)))
No problem, I'll help him if I can.
What is the max up and down speeds in the best of conditions. I never realized cell systems had such high speeds... 🙂
In 4g LTE I believe it's somewhere in the 600 mpbs download. Crazy fast!
@@TKCL Wow, never knew that... 🙂

Did your signal strength improve when switching from the yagis to the panel? I'm also in a rural area of Florida, noticed we test against the same Dedipath server. Always on the lookout for ways to improve signal strength and reliability!
It's actually dropped a little. The panel antenna sure looks better.
