My heart just aches for the Stuka family. Ryan looks like the typical Canadian kid who was just wanting to see a little more of this world. I’m not a religious man but I pray they find him one day 🙏🏼
I can only imagine the worst part for his parents is the fact that what actually happened to him is a total mystery. I cant imagine what that would be like if that were my child. I would rather find their body, and know that they had passed on. Then to spend everyday of my life not knowing where my baby is or what happened to them. That just breaks my heart. Ryan would never let his parents suffer like this purposely. I find it extremely difficult to believe that no one knows anything. I just can't believe that. 💚

You’re suggesting that a house party with 30-50 people at any given time in the night are all part of some large conspiracy? In what world does that make sense, even if it were 2-3 people who are directly involved in his “murder” you’re depending on dozens of other people (some strangers to one another) to continue lying for no gain on their end…
I thought it was a little strange when the guy asked the police officer if they had any evidence of him leaving, and she had a delayed response in addition to rapid eye blinking. Makes me wonder if they did find something but weren't coming forward about it. She also used the word "evidences" instead of evidence which is typically not standard, although I understand some people do use it that way. Just seemed off to me.
One day you are living your life and the next, everything changes. It humbles you to know how little control you have over some areas of your life. I can't even begin to imagine what the family has gone through. I pray that they one day get answers. That all of us who have been following this heart wrenching story, get answers. Happened to my brother, my family. He vanished. He was actually murdered. Found days later. It was Hell on earth not knowing for those few days. Paralyzing. Everything freezes. Your life stops. To wait years like this family & others is unimaginable.
I just honestly feel that law enforcement isn’t aggressive enough. Someone in that town knows something. The truth will come out sooner or later. Condolences to his family.
To be exact - this ski hill is not in a town or near a town... it's in the middle of nowhere. The RCMP ( Cdn version of a mix between FBI and Sheriff Dept.. they wouldn't have very many posted in that area either so most of the investigators would have driven over from Vancouver or somewhere else...
I am from BC as well, I’ve been to the sun peaks con brio festival 2 times for school band trips, and when we came there the first year in 2018 we saw the signs about Ryan, our band is going there this year as well, and I promise I will do whatever I can to help. My Local ski hill has A Ski Run program called “Runs For Ryan”. I may not be religious, but if I was I would be praying for Ryan’s friends and Family.
My heart goes out to this family and hopefully some answers are shown soon. My father was a part of this search party and we are all thinking of the Shtuka’s . This story hits close to home for every Canadian. No words can express the amount of grief this situation causes. Stay strong and keep fighting.❤️

No one understands the depths of the mountains in the area/surrounding city. When driving through BC, I always think to myself “what’s out there”, “who’s out there”. There is such mystery.
This also just happened here in MN, 23 year old was super drunk and chose to walk home but got lost so he FaceTimed his friends but his phone had died and that was the last he was heard from. My heart goes to all those involved in any sort of similar situation for it’s unimaginably heartbreaking.
Interesting - considering it wasn't in a city... Sun Peaks is in a village of about 1500 people 2/3 of whom are only there in winter and the nearest city is Kamloops which is about 40 mins away.... which city are you referring to?
I happened upon this video presentation via a few pretty-painted rocks at a rest-stop atop a summit west of Windermere BC a few days ago. The two rocks had the RUclips video address painted upon them. Good idea whoever did so. I cannot fathom the loss of a child, yet I of empathic heart hope whatever truth will be made known to the parents and those who care for Ryan. I hope that all avenues of searching are being considered and or utilized; Remote Viewing, certain Spirit Medicines , qualified mediums etc. Peace
Thanks for sharing, very sad. Ryan's story reminds me of a missing young man in Calgary a few years ago in Acadia. Missing for over a year and he was found in a tree he had climbed not far from his home after a night out.
I've seen his missing poster and picture of him, but this is the first time I'm hearing some details. My heart goes out to his family and extended friends, I hope they get closure soon. Huge kudos to all the volunteers from near and far that came to look for him. ...I had a sister that was brutally murdered when she was 16. As it happens, it was in the house across the street, so mom and dad had closure right away. If he has been killed, I pray the person comes forward, if they are human they have been living with it for over a year, the guilt and flashbacks must weigh a lot on them. I was up there recently. I went in some back roads and as we were driving out, I saw what looked like a rolled up blanket or those big carpet matts you put in your living room. And further away was a Levi's blue and white, large sized plaid shirt. It was ripped. Didnt match his shirt in the pic though. Just weird that it was out in dirt roads. And I mentioned it to my dad that it was weird, but he said people dump stuff all the time. He wouldn't stop to look and called me a weirdo. Told me they already searched these areas. The thing is, what if someone was responsible for his disappearance? What if they were part of the search? Then they'd know what areas have been covered, and can hide a body there without worrying. I have no idea where it was. I'm not from around there. But it would be good to look in these dirt roads again and do overs. Only allow close family to search the already searched areas, and keep it on the down low. Don't tell anyone.

I lived up there with my boyfriend in staff accom. , my bf was head of Staff Accom. at the time I looked around close to the area and brought stuff up to the family. They are a very loving, warm , kind family and the deserve to know where their son is !! Something happened to Ryan and someone knows something about his disappearance. That person needs to come forward. It's hard to believe that someone else doesn't know anything about what happened to Ryan. Please do the right thing and contact the family. You would want someone to do this if it was you that was missing.
I have 100% respect for parents who have an always-open door policy for their kids. It makes me feel for his parents even more❤ I can't speak from experience so I can't say whether it would be more difficult to have your child missing or found deceased. If it were me, I think it would be the former. When his dad said that every day is like "Groundhog Day", that really hit home 😭

From the beginning I've been listening to every podcast that comes out i first heard it 2 years ago around this time actually from the vanished podcast. I cant explain it but something about this story has stuck with me and continues to stick w me. My heart literally drops everytime I see his pic and read Heather's posts. There was a neighbor in the area who said they heard yelling that night so they guy went to his window and saw a car and heard a guy's voice the guy yelled "get the fuck in the car" then sped off i think he was hit by accident then unfortunately dumped somewhere. Or the people at that house know something ...I mean cmon if there are 4 ppl left then they were the last to see him. Im sorry but even if your doing coke or on e you can remember stuff. I just want them to find him! Amd bring the heartless assholes to justice..if you can take someone's life by accident or deliberately then you can be man enough to deal with the consequences of your heinous,selfish crime. .this family is broken inside bc the people or person responsible for this disappearance of Ryan! He was just in B.C. snowboarding and working chilling w friends doing what he loved.. karma comes full circle my friend it might not be today or tomorrow it may not come till next year but it WILL come for you and you will get yours!! #findryanshtuka

When I went to Sun Peaks last summer all the search posters caught my attention. I had no idea that he vanished 6 years ago, and I am so sorry for his family and friends.
Terrible to hear, very sorry.. in Calgary a few years ago a young man went missing, he was missing quite some time, and everyone had feared the worst! Well it wasn’t the best when they found him but the circumstances added up.. It was a cold winter or fall night, (I don’t remember details of what the news half let out due to him being a youth) this young man was “partying” with some friends.. they ate some fungus.. He was an avid hiker and climber and loved the woods more then anything! Well he left the party! No one knew anything, no evidence, no traces.. people searched everywhere to no avail? Months went on and finally in a wooded area very near to where they had been so long ago, someone noticed something in a tree? You guessed it! Cold night, dazed and confused, hypothermia Brought closure to the family!! There’s always hope!
This happened to a family member of mine in Red deer. Had too much to drink, left the bar, tried walking home in a blizzard, found dead the next morning from hypothermia. He was only 21. Just awful
If he overdosed at the party, someone would have said something by now, especially with this much time elapsed. Very rarely do a group of people keep a secret of this significant for a long time. Someone would have cracked by now and said something. The most logical theory is that he was intoxicated and got lost deep in the woods or perhaps someone accidentally hit him with their vehicle and disposed of his body.
Not necessarily - there's was tons of snow on the ground and it snowed heavily the day after he went missing which would have unfortunately covered his tracks and his scent...
Either someone has been threatened with their lives to not say anything, or no one is coming forward because there isn't a massive reward out for Ryan. At least I don't think there is. Usually when someone knows something about a murder, they'll either wait for the big reward money or they won't talk because they and/or their family have been threatened with death as well. This is so heartbreaking. No parent should ever have to go through something like this. Just someone needs to come forward with info ffs.

How her assumption is that he wondered off, etc. Clearly that is NOT the case. They searched every where there. Some sort of evidence would have been found. Also she's a "reporter" report, dont give your absolutely ludicrous opinion. I was 9 or 10 back then, I lived on the same street as the house party, sun peaks is a very nice place but seeing what happen was shocking, we all thought he would’ve fell down a ditch or something and when the snow would melt we would find him (ofc not alive but still) but we never found him, it’s scary to think someone could’ve kidnapped him
I was smoking at a park bench and came across a shtukasaurus. I scanned the QR code and came here. The story is really interesting, I told my friends and family about finding the shtukasaurus and the story behind it. I hope his family gets closure, not knowing what happened is terrible 💔
The Ben Tyner case is strange, my friend is search and rescue and looked for Tyner. He was very frustrated with the way the search was conducted, very troubling.
I think about Ryan ever since I heard about his disappearance. We are the same age and my heart aches for his family. The truth always comes out. I hope his family gets that closure soon.
As an old mother of two boys, my heart also breaks for this family! Mine aren't boys anymore as they are fully grown men, one has his own family, but in my heart they shall forever remain, my boys!

the problem here is Kamloops RCMP. CRP Jodie Shelkie dragged ass and there was not, and still is not enough effort truly being put into finding out what happened. a classic and upsetting case of police negligence.
If anyone is last seen at a house party, and the body is not found, there's obviously foul play. I'm sorry but you don't die by accident and have your body somehow never discovered in a small village. Those people at that party quite obviously snuffed him out.
The police need to start with the weakest link, which is the girl. And If Ryan absolutely never left the party with his so called friends. Then they need to look at the 4 remaining. Whoever is the most dominant of the group, the one they all listen too, the leader. That is either the person responsible and the rest are keeping quiet for fear of that person. Or that dominant person made the others do something and they are all keeping quiet for fear of any repercussions, either from the person at fault, or from being blamed. The 4 remaining may have messaged to come over to all talk to keep everyone quiet. This wasn't an overdose that they are covering up, this is much more or they would have just called for help. They need to search for Ryan in all places they would least expect to find him. He is there somewhere.
If he OD'd though, police could charge anyone that supplied him the drugs with manslaughter or even 2nd degree murder. That would be motive to cover up an OD.
They need to question the roommates that didn’t join the search party, the unconcerned so called new friends, perhaps the ones that made light, and joked about him wandering off.

I’d like to believe we live in a country 🍁 where a healthy 20 year old man doesn’t disappear, without a trace with no answers, fact, he couldn’t have gotten far from the resort, high, in -20 weather. The snow has melted twice, and thoroughly searched, so no, he didn’t wander off, in snow that would be waded thru!! if this had been investigated as a homicide perhaps answers would have been found.
With so many possible places to search, my instinct is that he's out there. Of course, foul play or and accident that was covered up aren't beyond possibility. It does seem odd that nobody saw him, there was no evidence of him, but if he was drinking or using drugs, there's a very real chance he wandered to his misfortune and just simply hasn't been discovered. He could have curled up somewhere that offered some kind of shelter and died of exposure. The beautiful thing about B.C. is the wilderness, but that wilderness can easily hide a wayward wanderer. I hope they find him so his family can rest easier.
Also to add to this, it is possible for someone to keep this to their self, if they were involved in Ryan’s disappearance. When something that serious happens, you will be surprised to see how long people can keep it to themselves.

This story always hit me hard. Maybe because he's a local-ish kid, or because it seems like a case where VERY OBVIOUSLY somebody must know something. For anyone who was involved with something that happened to him or is withholding any information about an accident, you need to know it's not only the individual that you've harmed, but their family, their friends, their community, and even those of us who've never met him. If you're holding back you've created a lot of karma.
I am suspicious of the party..if he even went.. I also consider the fact that he maybe hitchhiked or someone convinced him to get in... a hit and run doesn't sound possible cause there would be blood or signs of a struggle but there was nothing
Someone at the party knows something. I’m from Colorado and this is the first I’ve heard of this. The police need to gather all of these guests at the party and interrogate this group again. Something isn’t right here. Makes me think one of kids at this party is related to an official and they are hiding it.
I totally think that someone at the party knows. It sounds like there are connections higher up, that covered this up. There has been other stories where the person that did it was part of the search party. So I agree.
Or someone who was looking for young men to pick up for abduction? Just thinking.. they’re so many resorts in the Okanagan area that are essentially in a big loop: sun peaks in kamloops, big white in Kelowna, silver star in Vernon, Apex in Hedley... etc all the way to Vancouver. It is well known that these rural towns and resorts are full of young/college age ski resort employees who are often from out of town or the country. Someone could be targeting these young people knowing they’re far from home and vulnerable after a party/ and or hitchhiking/etc. Many other men have gone missing in the area , some are similar to Ryan’s age, but there is also a group that is much older than Ryan that are disappearing..and all unsolved with no leads. One man was supposedly hunting heading west of Kamloops but went missing and his body was found on a service road the complete opposite direction, east and very far from where he was going to be. Just my thoughts on the disappearance. Ted bundy also travelled across many states to complete his murders on young vulnerable women, he never stayed in one town which is what made his capture so difficult. I hope Ryan is found soon 🙏🏼
I hate Ted Bundy! He was as Evil as one can get! He murdered the sister of a close friend of mine! The thing is, she was a lot older than my friend and I and I remember vividly the night before she left and I had a horrible feeling about her trip. She and her friend were murdered by that thing they called Ted. That was in 1976. It still makes me angry, sad, and sick all at the same time! Ted was in that bloodline of the untouchables. It's surprising he was caught. He was possessed, the word evil doesn't even cover what that thing was! Sorry for the rant, it just makes me so upset!

I agree. When you see cases that are opened again after long periods of not being resolved, the first thing the authorities do is to talk to the same witnesses again. 9/10 someone will slip up and tell the story wrong.
So I have a theory on this. So Ryan and his friends are at the party. People are intoxicated. Lets say Ryan starts hitting on a girl or something along those lines. Now lets say this girl has a boyfriend. This boyfriend might have seen them do whatever together and he gets very angry. Now depending on the person, If the boyfriend was intoxicated it is most likely he would’ve confronted Ryan instantly. If he wasn’t though he could’ve had time to plan something to harm him. So people start to leave and the boyfriend could’ve called out for Ryan while leaving with his friends, Ryan’s friends must’ve not heard it and kept walking, looking back to find Ryan nowhere. So now we might not know what exactly the boyfriend could have done. The reason why I say the boyfriend might’ve not been intoxicated is because how there is no proof or evidence of anything, it seems like it was planned, it is not sloppy at all. To me it would be pointless looking around for Ryan’s body in the woods because if the boyfriend wasn’t intoxicated he could’ve known that if he left Ryan’s body somewhere in the woods he would be found eventually. So now we can say that this boyfriend could’ve known the place well. If this is the case Ryan could be somewhere in the suspects house or somewhere very far away. Sorry if this offends anyone in any way, it’s just a theory I came up with and there could be loopholes that I haven’t thought about yet.
I lived at sunpeaks for 7 years. There is no possible way that Ryan is still there. At that time of year a human could only hike in street shoes, uphill through knee to thigh deep snow maybe 500meters to a kilometer even if you're drunk or high. With the amount of foot traffic on and around the mountain, hikers, hunters, bushcrafters, foragers, something would have been found by now. I worked on trail crew there and they walk every fenceline every summer and bushwack all over sunpeaks. Nothing has been found so all evidence points to Ryan not being there. If I were the rcmp I would start checking lower down the valley on logging roads, quarries, pits, ravines. Places where there was less snow at that time of year and where someone could get a vehicle to dispose of a body. My speculation is someone hit him with a vehicle, put him in and drove somewhere far away and dumped him off. I believe the summer before Ryan's disappearance someone got hit by a vehicle while walking down the road, thats why the footpath from staff accom was put in. Look at the rest of the staff on the day after he went missing, were any others missing? Or very tired? Did anyone quit suddenly? Its possible the culprit could not even be in this country anymore with alot of the populace in sunpeaks being foriegners. The lack of evidence leads to foul play in my opinion. All it takes is one person to keep a secret in this scenario.
Can I ask if there have been any private investigators actively working on this case perhaps an investigator in the US? Has anyone dialed in to his phone records and phone pings? I believe with everyone someone knows something and is too afraid to come out and speak the truth. I pray this family gets the closure and love they truly and so desperately need! 💚🦖🦕
Im trying to bring attention to a video I have just watched here on YT, its a channel called THE RECKONING CO, yes it is energy reading , I realise people hold mixed feelings on these things , however its not the first time psychics have managed to hep LE with leads that have led to missing ppls / remains being found! The way I see it , what harm can checking it out do ? ..none....but it could bring the parents the desperste answers and closure they so badly need and rightly deserve!

Someone dumped that poor boy. I didn’t think it was possible for someone to be as evil as they were in my hometown but there was a brutal m*rder that went unsolved for almost 20 yrs. People can keep secrets better than you think.
Here’s how I see it. He was drunk, took a short cut maybe fell into the freezing water and his body was riding down the river if that body of water were to fall into a bigger body of water. However I feel in my gut. It’s much bigger and more disturbing then that. The police need to actually do their job and look into everyone that was at the party. Something isn’t making sense and that girl is hiding something I fear. Honestly Canadian police are SUPER lazy. Why don’t they track his phone!? Even if it were off they would be able to. They also need to look in places that you wouldn’t think of hiding a body.
They tired to track his phone but privacy laws prevent them from accessing the last known location. Also they have searched the rivers and bodies of water that they drain into.
And they can have someone access his last location as it’s a missing person case. Depending on who they get ahold of. Honestly like I said rcmp usually turn their heads the other way when it comes to missing persona
I definitely think his friends know exactly what happened.I'm not buying the "no one saw him leave the party" thing. According to Ryans mom, he was sharing a room with his friend that his mom said was about the size of a closet. How would that friend not notice all night and in the morning that Ryan wasn't there? And that friend just casually went to work not knowing where Ryan was, and not being able to get ahold of him. He didn't even call police or notify Ryans parents until about 10pm when Ryan had been missing all day and night. I want to hear exactly what that friend has to say about it. He should be in this video telling the story. He was the friend Ryan went to BC with.. he should be more involved in the search!

You mean like how hard is it to find out who was dealing mdma, or the fact the last proven sighting was at the bar? If all the friends are telling the truth, where are the pictures from the party? ... this is the generation of snaps, Instagram stories etc, they all live with their phones in hand. I don’t think the original timeline can be trusted at all without factual proof. The privacy of the partiers, should not come over Ryan’s body coming home to his family. Even if the tip is anonymous, someone needs to speak the truth 🙏

Whoever was selling drugs out of Kamloops definitely had people working at Sun peaks because it’s the best place to sell drugs in the area, young kids working seasonally and tourists. I mean there’s not that many places around to sell… The resort was probably big money for some asshole dealer. The employees of sun peaks that were fired for drug possession… Anybody know their names?
Strangely enough, they never disclosed the names but I agree they had dealers at sun peaks. There are guys who work at different resorts each year, it’s a lifestyle, one that’s probably supplemented by small time dealing. it’s tough because Ryan seemed to be a sweet small town boy, who was just out in the world partying, probably not used to intermingling with the people partying there. He genuinely seemed like a nice person, and well liked, that would be sure to create jealousy.
i do not think someone said get in the car..apprently someone around the area has said they heard this around that time......esp if he was incapacitated it prob was more get him IN the car..that does not implicate a truck..maybe i'm taking things literally but my gut feel is that he did get run over..perhaps at that time of night people do not adhere to speed restrictions..however if it is the case it should be on their conscience..would it not have been easier to come clean?
3 days after valentines day feb 17 was there some jealousy at the party? something that went on? as i say i would hope someone has a conscience whatever happened and wherever and whatever they know..maybe time will catch up with them its heinious whatever happened x
They need hypnosis for anyone at that party. Someone had to see him leave, or something. Someone knows something. Polygraphs, truth serums. The parents can't mourn until they know.
stayed at sun peaks this past week, driving past the posters i feel so bad for his family. the rcmp services did not question the party goer’s enough. if he was walking home his body or somthing would have been found.. how does a body go missing with no trace, no blood, no clothes, even if it was an animal there would be evidence. foul play seems to be the remaining factor they didn’t search into enough. i agree with the other comments they should really go see a medium.

It’s a horrible thought, but my best guess is Ryan pissed off the wrong person at that house. I’m speculating some of the people there may have been drunk, coked up, and agro.
Is it possible that ryan could have possibly been drugged or possibly slipped something in order for him to have a "good time"? Knowing so little of the area its possible he could have fell somewhere (ravine/lake/ocean) and depending on the weather perhaps currents or the tide took him out. How does one possibly disappear so suddenly and so quietly? This seems to more of a question of confusion and wandering off (and possibly later being attacked/kidnapped by strangers) the fact that no one saw him means that he must have been by an open but shrouded area perhaps a forest, a field with bushes and trees. Something ...something...
Is it possible he fell in a river and got swept away? Then maybe eaten by animals. They need to check local coyote, bear, wolf, cougar, etc caves and burrows.
My heart just aches for the Stuka family. Ryan looks like the typical Canadian kid who was just wanting to see a little more of this world. I’m not a religious man but I pray they find him one day 🙏🏼
I can only imagine the worst part for his parents is the fact that what actually happened to him is a total mystery. I cant imagine what that would be like if that were my child. I would rather find their body, and know that they had passed on. Then to spend everyday of my life not knowing where my baby is or what happened to them. That just breaks my heart. Ryan would never let his parents suffer like this purposely. I find it extremely difficult to believe that no one knows anything. I just can't believe that. 💚

In what world does that make sense, even if it were 2-3 people who are directly involved in his “murder” you’re depending on dozens of other people (some strangers to one another) to continue lying for no gain on their end…
I thought it was a little strange when the guy asked the police officer if they had any evidence of him leaving, and she had a delayed response in addition to rapid eye blinking. Makes me wonder if they did find something but weren't coming forward about it. She also used the word "evidences" instead of evidence which is typically not standard, although I understand some people do use it that way. Just seemed off to me.

To be exact - this ski hill is not in a town or near a town... it's in the middle of nowhere. The RCMP ( Cdn version of a mix between FBI and Sheriff Dept.. they wouldn't have very many posted in that area either so most of the investigators would have driven over from Vancouver or somewhere else...
I am from BC as well, I’ve been to the sun peaks con brio festival 2 times for school band trips, and when we came there the first year in 2018 we saw the signs about Ryan, our band is going there this year as well, and I promise I will do whatever I can to help. My Local ski hill has A Ski Run program called “Runs For Ryan”. I may not be religious, but if I was I would be praying for Ryan’s friends and Family.
My heart goes out to this family and hopefully some answers are shown soon. My father was a part of this search party and we are all thinking of the Shtuka’s . No one understands the depths of the mountains in the area/surrounding city. When driving through BC, I always think to myself “what’s out there”, “who’s out there”. There is such mystery.

This also just happened here in MN, 23 year old was super drunk and chose to walk home but got lost so he FaceTimed his friends but his phone had died and that was the last he was heard from. My heart goes to all those involved in any sort of similar situation for it’s unimaginably heartbreaking.
Interesting - considering it wasn't in a city... Sun Peaks is in a village of about 1500 people 2/3 of whom are only there in winter and the nearest city is Kamloops which is about 40 mins away.... which city are you referring to?

I happened upon this video presentation via a few pretty-painted rocks at a rest-stop atop a summit west of Windermere BC a few days ago. The two rocks had the RUclips video address painted upon them. Good idea whoever did so.
I cannot fathom the loss of a child, yet I of empathic heart hope whatever truth will be made known to the parents and those who care for Ryan.

I was up there recently. I went in some back roads and as we were driving out, I saw what looked like a rolled up blanket or those big carpet matts you put in your living room. And further away was a Levi's blue and white, large sized plaid shirt. It was ripped. Didnt match his shirt in the pic though. Just weird that it was out in dirt roads. And I mentioned it to my dad that it was weird, but he said people dump stuff all the time. He wouldn't stop to look and called me a weirdo. Told me they already searched these areas. The thing is, what if someone was responsible for his disappearance? What if they were part of the search? Then they'd know what areas have been covered, and can hide a body there without worrying. I have no idea where it was. I'm not from around there. But it would be good to look in these dirt roads again and do overs. Only allow close family to search the already searched areas, and keep it on the down low. Don't tell anyone.

From the beginning I've been listening to every podcast that comes out i first heard it 2 years ago around this time actually from the vanished podcast. I cant explain it but something about this story has stuck with me and continues to stick w me. My heart literally drops everytime I see his pic and read Heather's posts. There was a neighbor in the area who said they heard yelling that night so they guy went to his window and saw a car and heard a guy's voice the guy yelled "get the fuck in the car" then sped off i think he was hit by accident then unfortunately dumped somewhere. Or the people at that house know something ...I mean cmon if there are 4 ppl left then they were the last to see him. Im sorry but even if your doing coke or on e you can remember stuff. I just want them to find him! Amd bring the heartless assholes to justice..if you can take someone's life by accident or deliberately then you can be man enough to deal with the consequences of your heinous,selfish crime.

in Calgary a few years ago a young man went missing, he was missing quite some time, and everyone had feared the worst!
Well it wasn’t the best when they found him but the circumstances added up..
It was a cold winter or fall night, (I don’t remember details of what the news half let out due to him being a youth) this young man was “partying” with some friends.. they ate some fungus..
He was an avid hiker and climber and loved the woods more then anything!
Well he left the party! No one knew anything, no evidence, no traces.. people searched everywhere to no avail?
Months went on and finally in a wooded area very near to where they had been so long ago,
someone noticed something in a tree?
You guessed it! Cold night, dazed and confused, hypothermia
Brought closure to the family!!

This happened to a family member of mine in Red deer. Had too much to drink, left the bar, tried walking home in a blizzard, found dead the next morning from hypothermia. He was only 21. Just awful

If he overdosed at the party, someone would have said something by now, especially with this much time elapsed. Very rarely do a group of people keep a secret of this significant for a long time. Someone would have cracked by now and said something. The most logical theory is that he was intoxicated and got lost deep in the woods or perhaps someone accidentally hit him with their vehicle and disposed of his body.

Not necessarily - there's was tons of snow on the ground and it snowed heavily the day after he went missing which would have unfortunately covered his tracks and his scent...

Either someone has been threatened with their lives to not say anything, or no one is coming forward because there isn't a massive reward out for Ryan. At least I don't think there is. Usually when someone knows something about a murder, they'll either wait for the big reward money or they won't talk because they and/or their family have been threatened with death as well. This is so heartbreaking. No parent should ever have to go through something like this. Just someone needs to come forward with info ffs.
There is a $15,000 reward for any information that may help with Ryan's case.

the problem here is Kamloops RCMP. CRP Jodie Shelkie dragged ass and there was not, and still is not enough effort truly being put into finding out what happened. a classic and upsetting case of police negligence.

The police need to start with the weakest link, which is the girl. And If Ryan absolutely never left the party with his so called friends. Then they need to look at the 4 remaining. Whoever is the most dominant of the group, the one they all listen too, the leader. That is either the person responsible and the rest are keeping quiet for fear of that person. Or that dominant person made the others do something and they are all keeping quiet for fear of any repercussions, either from the person at fault, or from being blamed. The 4 remaining may have messaged to come over to all talk to keep everyone quiet. This wasn't an overdose that they are covering up, this is much more or they would have just called for help. They need to search for Ryan in all places they would least expect to find him. He is there somewhere.
If he OD'd though, police could charge anyone that supplied him the drugs with manslaughter or even 2nd degree murder. That would be motive to cover up an OD.
They need to question the roommates that didn’t join the search party, the unconcerned so called new friends, perhaps the ones that made light, and joked about him wandering off.

I’d like to believe we live in a country 🍁 where a healthy 20 year old man doesn’t disappear, without a trace with no answers, fact, he couldn’t have gotten far from the resort, high, in -20 weather. The snow has melted twice, and thoroughly searched, so no, he didn’t wander off, in snow that would be waded thru!! if this had been investigated as a homicide perhaps answers would have been found.
With so many possible places to search, my instinct is that he's out there. Of course, foul play or and accident that was covered up aren't beyond possibility. It does seem odd that nobody saw him, there was no evidence of him, but if he was drinking or using drugs, there's a very real chance he wandered to his misfortune and just simply hasn't been discovered. He could have curled up somewhere that offered some kind of shelter and died of exposure. The beautiful thing about B.C. is the wilderness, but that wilderness can easily hide a wayward wanderer. I hope they find him so his family can rest easier.
Also to add to this, it is possible for someone to keep this to their self, if they were involved in Ryan’s disappearance. When something that serious happens, you will be surprised to see how long people can keep it to themselves.

I am suspicious of the party..if he even went.. I also consider the fact that he maybe hitchhiked or someone convinced him to get in... a hit and run doesn't sound possible cause there would be blood or signs of a struggle but there was nothing
Someone at the party knows something. I’m from Colorado and this is the first I’ve heard of this. The police need to gather all of these guests at the party and interrogate this group again. Something isn’t right here. Makes me think one of kids at this party is related to an official and they are hiding it.

Or someone who was looking for young men to pick up for abduction? Just thinking.. they’re so many resorts in the Okanagan area that are essentially in a big loop: sun peaks in kamloops, big white in Kelowna, silver star in Vernon, Apex in Hedley... etc all the way to Vancouver. It is well known that these rural towns and resorts are full of young/college age ski resort employees who are often from out of town or the country. Someone could be targeting these young people knowing they’re far from home and vulnerable after a party/ and or hitchhiking/etc. Many other men have gone missing in the area , some are similar to Ryan’s age, but there is also a group that is much older than Ryan that are disappearing..and all unsolved with no leads. One man was supposedly hunting heading west of Kamloops but went missing and his body was found on a service road the complete opposite direction, east and very far from where he was going to be. Just my thoughts on the disappearance. Ted bundy also travelled across many states to complete his murders on young vulnerable women, he never stayed in one town which is what made his capture so difficult.

I hate Ted Bundy! He was as Evil as one can get! He murdered the sister of a close friend of mine! The thing is, she was a lot older than my friend and I and I remember vividly the night before she left and I had a horrible feeling about her trip. She and her friend were murdered by that thing they called Ted. That was in 1976. It still makes me angry, sad, and sick all at the same time! Ted was in that bloodline of the untouchables. It's surprising he was caught. He was possessed, the word evil doesn't even cover what that thing was! Sorry for the rant, it just makes me so upset!

The people at that party - talk to them again. We are not getting any clear answers as to when he left that house and whether each and every member was interrogated.
I agree. When you see cases that are opened again after long periods of not being resolved, the first thing the authorities do is to talk to the same witnesses again. 9/10 someone will slip up and tell the story wrong.
So I have a theory on this. So Ryan and his friends are at the party. People are intoxicated. Lets say Ryan starts hitting on a girl or something along those lines. Now lets say this girl has a boyfriend. This boyfriend might have seen them do whatever together and he gets very angry. Now depending on the person, If the boyfriend was intoxicated it is most likely he would’ve confronted Ryan instantly. If he wasn’t though he could’ve had time to plan something to harm him. So people start to leave and the boyfriend could’ve called out for Ryan while leaving with his friends, Ryan’s friends must’ve not heard it and kept walking, looking back to find Ryan nowhere. So now we might not know what exactly the boyfriend could have done. The reason why I say the boyfriend might’ve not been intoxicated is because how there is no proof or evidence of anything, it seems like it was planned, it is not sloppy at all. To me it would be pointless looking around for Ryan’s body in the woods because if the boyfriend wasn’t intoxicated he could’ve known that if he left Ryan’s body somewhere in the woods he would be found eventually. So now we can say that this boyfriend could’ve known the place well. If this is the case Ryan could be somewhere in the suspects house or somewhere very far away. Sorry if this offends anyone in any way, it’s just a theory I came up with and there could be loopholes that I haven’t thought about yet.

I lived at sunpeaks for 7 years. There is no possible way that Ryan is still there. At that time of year a human could only hike in street shoes, uphill through knee to thigh deep snow maybe 500meters to a kilometer even if you're drunk or high. With the amount of foot traffic on and around the mountain, hikers, hunters, bushcrafters, foragers, something would have been found by now. I worked on trail crew there and they walk every fenceline every summer and bushwack all over sunpeaks. Nothing has been found so all evidence points to Ryan not being there. If I were the rcmp I would start checking lower down the valley on logging roads, quarries, pits, ravines. Places where there was less snow at that time of year and where someone could get a vehicle to dispose of a body. My speculation is someone hit him with a vehicle, put him in and drove somewhere far away and dumped him off. I believe the summer before Ryan's disappearance someone got hit by a vehicle while walking down the road, thats why the footpath from staff accom was put in. Look at the rest of the staff on the day after he went missing, were any others missing? Or very tired? Did anyone quit suddenly? Its possible the culprit could not even be in this country anymore with alot of the populace in sunpeaks being foriegners. The lack of evidence leads to foul play in my opinion. All it takes is one person to keep a secret in this scenario.
Can I ask if there have been any private investigators actively working on this case perhaps an investigator in the US? Has anyone dialed in to his phone records and phone pings? I believe with everyone someone knows something and is too afraid to come out and speak the truth. I pray this family gets the closure and love they truly and so desperately need! 💚🦖🦕
Im trying to bring attention to a video I have just watched here on YT, its a channel called THE RECKONING CO, yes it is energy reading , I realise people hold mixed feelings on these things , however its not the first time psychics have managed to hep LE with leads that have led to missing ppls / remains being found! The way I see it , what harm can checking it out do ? ..none....but it could bring the parents the desperste answers and closure they so badly need and rightly deserve!

some one said he headed to the village..someone said they heard 'get in the fing car' all speculative..i do think pressure should be put on more those at the party...RCMP have ways and means ( you can look at the chris watts case the questining!- not promoting..how they got their info out of him) maybe someone on here a this moment is clever and had something to do with it..well they should clear their conscience cos one day evidence will turn up rest assured dna is pretty good and precise these days and it will get you in the end believe me and i would def suggest checking the drains..those circular iron things..that would be a good hiding place........i just am like everyone else , sad, sorry and hopeful xxx and if mr murderer or whatever is on here your time is running out..your not that clever if you were at the party or whatever DNA these days accurate and precise..its only a matter of time....if you are on here the clocks ticking....love to ryans friends and family xx

Someone dumped that poor boy. I didn’t think it was possible for someone to be as evil as they were in my hometown but there was a brutal m*rder that went unsolved for almost 20 yrs. People can keep secrets better than you think.
Here’s how I see it. He was drunk, took a short cut maybe fell into the freezing water and his body was riding down the river if that body of water were to fall into a bigger body of water. However I feel in my gut. It’s much bigger and more disturbing then that. The police need to actually do their job and look into everyone that was at the party. Something isn’t making sense and that girl is hiding something I fear. Honestly Canadian police are SUPER lazy. Why don’t they track his phone!? Even if it were off they would be able to. They also need to look in places that you wouldn’t think of hiding a body.
They tired to track his phone but privacy laws prevent them from accessing the last known location. Also they have searched the rivers and bodies of water that they drain into.
I just talked to his mom today. I think we will find his remains this year. Hoping.
And they can have someone access his last location as it’s a missing person case. Depending on who they get ahold of. Honestly like I said rcmp usually turn their heads the other way when it comes to missing persona
I definitely think his friends know exactly what happened.I'm not buying the "no one saw him leave the party" thing. According to Ryans mom, he was sharing a room with his friend that his mom said was about the size of a closet. How would that friend not notice all night and in the morning that Ryan wasn't there? And that friend just casually went to work not knowing where Ryan was, and not being able to get ahold of him. He didn't even call police or notify Ryans parents until about 10pm when Ryan had been missing all day and night. I want to hear exactly what that friend has to say about it. He should be in this video telling the story. He was the friend Ryan went to BC with.. he should be more involved in the search!

That will rest in all their souls until they tell the truth! one day, some of them will be parents & perhaps then it will weigh on them. or perhaps the rcmp could bust one of them dealing, then they’d be forced to cut a deal... which is unfortunately the most common way, criminals turn on each-other.

If all the friends are telling the truth, where are the pictures from the party? ... this is the generation of snaps, Instagram stories etc, they all live with their phones in hand. I don’t think the original timeline can be trusted at all without factual proof. The privacy of the partiers, should not come over Ryan’s body coming home to his family. Even if the tip is anonymous, someone needs to speak the truth 🙏

Whoever was selling drugs out of Kamloops definitely had people working at Sun peaks because it’s the best place to sell drugs in the area, young kids working seasonally and tourists. I mean there’s not that many places around to sell… The resort was probably big money for some asshole dealer. The employees of sun peaks that were fired for drug possession… Anybody know their names?
Strangely enough, they never disclosed the names but I agree they had dealers at sun peaks. There are guys who work at different resorts each year, it’s a lifestyle, one that’s probably supplemented by small time dealing. it’s tough because Ryan seemed to be a sweet small town boy, who was just out in the world partying, probably not used to intermingling with the people partying there. He genuinely seemed like a nice person, and well liked, that would be sure to create jealousy.
i do not think someone said get in the car..apprently someone around the area has said they heard this around that time......esp if he was incapacitated it prob was more get him IN the car..that does not implicate a truck..maybe i'm taking things literally but my gut feel is that he did get run over..perhaps at that time of night people do not adhere to speed restrictions..however if it is the case it should be on their conscience..would it not have been easier to come clean?
3 days after valentines day feb 17 was there some jealousy at the party? something that went on? as i say i would hope someone has a conscience whatever happened and wherever and whatever they know..maybe time will catch up with them its heinious whatever happened x
They need hypnosis for anyone at that party. Someone had to see him leave, or something. Someone knows something. Polygraphs, truth serums. The parents can't mourn until they know.

stayed at sun peaks this past week, driving past the posters i feel so bad for his family. the rcmp services did not question the party goer’s enough. if he was walking home his body or somthing would have been found.. how does a body go missing with no trace, no blood, no clothes, even if it was an animal there would be evidence. foul play seems to be the remaining factor they didn’t search into enough. i agree with the other comments they should really go see a medium.

It’s a horrible thought, but my best guess is Ryan pissed off the wrong person at that house. I’m speculating some of the people there may have been drunk, coked up, and agro.
I think that he tried to make his own path through the Forrest as a short cut and got lost in the snow. =(

Is it possible that ryan could have possibly been drugged or possibly slipped something in order for him to have a "good time"? Knowing so little of the area its possible he could have fell somewhere (ravine/lake/ocean) and depending on the weather perhaps currents or the tide took him out. How does one possibly disappear so suddenly and so quietly? This seems to more of a question of confusion and wandering off (and possibly later being attacked/kidnapped by strangers) the fact that no one saw him means that he must have been by an open but shrouded area perhaps a forest, a field with bushes and trees. Drugging can be the reason why literally no one is talking. I highly doubt anyone would admit to anything if it was truly just an accident.
Is it possible he fell in a river and got swept away? Then maybe eaten by animals. They need to check local coyote, bear, wolf, cougar, etc caves and burrows.
