I think Kurt would have really like a montage liked this, as he was always (rightfully) complaining that Nirvana’s image was that of a really serious, dark band, but he was a really funny guy. People tend to forget that, probably because of the way he died.
so much true, this also has been highlighted by Dave Grohl during his interview with someone (I wish I could remember who and when but sorry) he said that people perspective about Nirvana always Dark and Bleak yet, all o them are pretty funny and joyful in real life.

That is simply not true. Of course Kurt Cobain cared what people thought. You don't have a successful band, job or life, if you don't care what people think. In fact, when someone makes the statement "I don't care what people think" they say it BECAUSE they care what people think. Kurt Cobain had much respect for music and cared about other artist work and thoughts and believe me, he cared how his fans saw him. Ask sonic youth, Flipper etc...

I don't think it's a matter of want. Regardless of technical ability on an instrument, not anyone who "wants it bad enough" can write a song as well as he did. I've known PLENTY of musicians with incredible fluency on their instrument and endless drive to make a living doing music, so much so they live for the most part in abject poverty. Most rock star songwriters are 1 in a million. Kurt Cobain was one in a billion.

I became a fan of nirvana/Kurt when I was about 10/11. Back then I looked up to him as a grown up and found it hard to think of myself being that age . Now im 31 and I'm older than he was when he died. Now I can see how young he actually was. Seeing him hanging out with Dave and Krist reminds me of times when I've hung out with mates while in bands in my early 20's. Makes the way he passes away seem all the more tragic :/
