I was 20 years old and I pulled the entire 10 card Elite set from 1 pack. The values were from 100 was the lowest and 500 was the highest and there were 3 500$ cards. Within a week I sold it for 1200 in Portland. A few months later doneuss had announced the product had "hot packs" people everywhere started pulling the whole set packs or the half set packs. The price plummeted but I sold fast and gave the money to my mother. She had never had a vacation up to that point of her life. She was 48 and I'll never forget her crying.its the only time I made my mother cry. Just felt like sharing that with you guys

Incredible card. Probably the quirkiest thing on there is that the left hand side has the players' home run totals... and for Vladdy Jr, it just lists his minor league total (since this card was made before his mlb debut). Strange choice, but kinda cool!
As a customer that buys into many box breaks, I can't help but worry about people using scales on these high end boxes. Luckily for John this box was taken directly from a freshly opened case. However imagine had this box been one of the others from the future breaks. Almost certainly those get weighed and this box would get cherry picked INSTANTLY cause it would weigh significantly more than the others. The only truly fair random breaks are in fact ones like this that take place on camera and are from the VERY first boxes from the freshly opened case.
So I never thought of it like that, but thanks to your comment, I am subscribing to the channel because, now equipped with this knowledge, I have infinitely more trust in these guys knowing that they're providing legit breaks with fair practices.
@@mikepollock6235 well not necessarily my dude... What about those other boxes from the case that weren't used? Those will be used for later breaks. I'd love to think that nobody will put them on a scale, but I think we all know that's not very likely. That's why I said the only way to get a fair shake in a break is if it's on camera and the box is from a freshly opened case. There's so many instances (especially with high end boxes) where they only open like 2-4 boxes per break. Then the other boxes are put to the side off camera and used for later breaks... Once they're off camera then all bets are off! It's very hard for me to imagine that these breakers don't put these things on scales considering just how valuable these cards are becoming and how incredibly easy it would be to cherry pick the boxes with the booklets and bat knob cards. The really valuable hits always tend to weigh more. It's sad, but I personally have zero faith that it's completely fair and random. I think the odds for the really big hits are weighed VERY heavily in favor of whoever is breaking them. No pun intended lol

A guy from Seattle in 86 found a Honus Wagner inside a Don quixote book from an abandoned antique shop... I read it in the local news paper when I was a KID .. I'm pretty sure that's the biggest hit I ever Heard

@@bigandyscards2032 That depends for every eBay auction ever - you have to get to the right audience, which means you'd likely have to consign it via one of the largest sellers to get your highest sale price, not sell it on an account with 100 sales.

In other words, you probably get a similar price for your run-of-the-mill $5 card using your method on any account, but not for a 'card' worth thousands of dollars.

There are no words to describe that card .. I was at the national this year in Chicago and saw a card with the original 5 HOF cut autos and I thought that was it.. now I'm not so sure.. 50 of the greatest modern era players with some HOFs thrown in is just insanity..
Topps took 50 PRE-SIGNED auto stickers and slapped them into a booklet and everyone is so impressed??? Should have been ON CARD....now that would have been impressive! I bet Topps has hundreds of each of those stickers just laying around to slap onto cards.

The fact that Topps still has stickers from a guy who has been dead for 6 years just goes to show that they are likely sitting on HUNDREDS of auto stickers of each of these guys just waiting to slap them on 20 cents worth of cardboard and make you guys swoon with admiration. This booklet is no more special than would be 50 individual cards with sticker autos of each guy. How much would that be worth? Because you're actually getting even LESS with this booklet!

I was actually thinking about buying a box or two at my local shop. Not anymore! Hahaha! I have a couple of those autographs - Hank Aaron, Alex Rodriguez, and Dale Murphy (Dale Murphy for the Hall of Fame). However, I am a Star Wars collector. I have 6 cases of Masterwork coming on release day. Hopefully, I can pull the 40-signature card or a huge pen relic from my cases. Awesome product hit. It's a $15,000 to $30,000 card.
