Great vid guys 👍. I’m up the far nth coast NSW. We get plenty of good sized dart 🎯 40cm +up here. The bigger ones are ok to eat, the smaller ones, not so much. You need to bleed them on capture, gutting them at the same time too doesn’t hurt. They are best filleted and skinned. They also have a thick blood line running down the middle of the fillet, which I cut out as well.

I bought some worm burners from Starlo and they are brilliant.
They help imitate a worm, the burner protects the knot, u can hold the burner to install the worm, and I use 1/2 the amount of worms....well worth the investment !!!
This show is amazing. i have been a disaster beach fisherman all my life. Take a photo of my rods. Never catch a thing. Spent the last week at night rigging up many of "the worlds deadliest rig." Going to give the beach worms a go also. Can't wait to go out again. Am even buying my wife a fishing rod !!!! God bless from WA.

Another good episode. I have followed Starlo for 40 years. His wife comes across as a very nice person, then there is you!! It annoys me that certain people can just pop off down to the beach, catch worms, then catch fish then use a no measure batter to cook them in. After all that you then want us to like your video. It ain't fair Roger.

Caught some hefty bream using soldier crabs for bait after forgetting the yabby pump. Great bait, you just look like a madman running around the flats catching them.

I’m used to holding the rod in one hand and the line in the other to feel the bites. Maybe it’s an unusual way but it works so am sticking to it
The better gutter on Blackies is another 500m north right near the Tuross river mouth. Can't miss it. Since someone showed me that gutter it's been my most productive south coast beach. Can't beat potato point 👌
Thanks Patrick, we didn't walk that far north. There was some reasonable water towards the southern end. River mouths are very good in general

I've never done well worming on beaches that have a long slow wash
barely summer and those worm extensions look great on starlos page with his sons epoxy heads, as beach baits supreme. I am hopeless at beach worming or was last time i tried decades ago catch nippers and dug mudworms. getting worms at bait shops very difficult, i like fishing beaches with light gear caught stacks of salmon years ago using my old boron estuary baitcaster once big 5 pound plus fish chasing red spots in the surf. I had whiting hitting my legs in the surf. great strategy and analysis

What rod and reel setup was Starlo using. I loved the bend on it. Can you please help me out?
It was a rod he had custom made in the U.S for Luderick fishing. He called it a noodle. Long and bendy, perfect for Luderick and fun on Bream and Whiting. Starlo put up a video on his channel, here is the link ruclips.net/video/MOBv6rn_DFI/видео.html

Custom rod made for Luderick fishing, from the U.S
It’s a Chris Britton custom. But the lightest surf models in the Shimano range do a very similar job and are more affordable. That custom rod was actually built for black fishing with a float. Cheers, Starlo

I'm sceptical about you fishing skills. I think the difference is the beach worms. Fish with bait from bait shops like mules or mullet. See how good you are then.
