The only sherry liquor I have is an actual sherry bottle, not too keen on sherried whiskies but still enjoy your sherried whisky reviews. Cheers Jon, i'm drinking my Laphroaig 10.
i absollutely love blind tasting drams. Glad i could help out and if you need a couple more samples of the 23 (even though it came last) i am more than happy to pour them for you
Great review! I really enjoy the 20, very easy sipper. I’ve got a couple bottles of the 24 on there way back from Lethbridge Costco…..excited to try it ;)
Wow, you were pretty busy putting out content this past weekend! I was travelling in a state where Costco does sell liquor but I just couldn't get a moment away from the family to go whiskey hunting in a Costco - although I did drop by a chain store and pick up a bourbon that is not distributed in Texas. I still have never tried Kirkland whiskey but will give a shot when the opportunity avails itself as they sound great!
I have been very impressed with the quality at this price point. I am also currently enjoying the sherried profile a fair amount, so a little biased I think! Cool you could grab something not normally available to you, that is always fun! Cheers!
I had a bottle of 24 in my hand the other day but did not purchase it, although it's a pretty decent price for a 24 year old. I enjoy the 20 year old, have had a couple bottles of that. Thanks Jon.
Thanks for sharing your insights. I was genuinely surprised by my preference in the blind. Before that, I would have said the 24 was almost burnt. Fun to shoot though and certainly I enjoy each of them. Cheers!
Thanks Jon. Won’t ever see these in BC due to the province-controlled system, but I appreciate your thoughts. The value proposition on these is quite incredble and I’ve heard only good things. 🥃
I see "blind" and I click! Love the blind reviews. I think blind tasting the Kirkland bottles was a fantastic idea. Great video as usual, hope you're having a great weekend.
Thanks. I hope you are too. If you enjoy Sherried Scotch, any of these are a great choice. A little more than some, but a deal for their age category. Cheers!
Always been curious about those Kirkland bottles. I am not a Costco member but because of state liquor laws they must sell alcohol to everyone so I do stop by for a look every once in a while. However the nearest one is out of town and those places are a zoo at all hours. These releases disappear fast when they hit the shelf. In the past Glendronach 12 was often there for $37 US so got quite a few of them. Cheers Jon
It was a great Saturday... I often wish I had a daughter who would mix my whiskies up for me...
Glad you had a good Saturday. I am truly blest. Cheers!

Mmm, love Laphroaig, though my go to Islay as shifted to Ardbeg 10. Thanks for sipping and watching!

Thank you, you are too kind. As I said there were times in this tasting it came in first! A great blind for sure.
👍
Have you tried these?
I am totally... wrong. That's the best. Fantastic.
Cheers!

Thanks! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I have really enjoyed enjoying the 20 year. Outside of this blind, I would have said it is my favorite. Certainly easy to relax with.
Do you know what time of year the 24 yr was released? Curious when it will hit shelves this year...
I will need to look. It is no where now. 18yr is back on shelves
I can't get that Kirkland here because liquor is the sole purview of the SAQ. Ive been really curious about it, though.
Each of these releases are good and a good value. I hope you can taste them one day!
I have had the 20, 22, and 24 year, and I think this whiskey peaked at the 22 year. It has the best sherry flavor and is not over powered by the oak.
Thanks for sharing your insights. I was genuinely surprised by my preference in the blind. Before that, I would have said the 24 was almost burnt. Fun to shoot though and certainly I enjoy each of them. Cheers!
you missed out on that 23yr. its so fruity and a tad bit funky with a earthy/ mushroom note.
Thanks Jon. Won’t ever see these in BC due to the province-controlled system, but I appreciate your thoughts. The value proposition on these is quite incredble and I’ve heard only good things. 🥃
Each of them were fantastic for the price. Cheers
Great idea for a tasting.. I had the 23 and was really happy with it
I have enjoyed each of these. It was fun to compare them blind!
I really like the way you did this review blind. Awesome 👏
Thanks. I felt it kept my thoughts a little more focused on what was in the glass, not in my head! Cheers!
@@WhiskyNeighbour agree. Do the review, give your thoughts, and see if you nailed it or not. Much more interesting this way 🥃👍
all great bottles and glad to see somebody do this as a lineup and blind.
Thanks! I really enjoy each of them.
You always have great reviews. I love your channel thank you WN
You are also, always so kind. Thanks for droping in and I hope you have a great weekend!
I've got all 3, multiples of every edition they put out. Love em all.
Glad you are well stocked. Do you have a favourite?
@@WhiskyNeighbour I liked them all, but I really liked the 24 yr old.
@@LGB007 Cool, that was my favourite too!
Was it released in this order ?
18 -> 23 -> 22 -> 24 -> 20
I am not sure. In my market that is close, but I thought the 20 appeared before the 24
A great way to review this one with the blind thrown in. Great to hear the intricacies of each and how they differ too. Cheers Jon.
Thanks Al, it was a lot of fun to shoot! Helps that I enjoy them all. Cheers!

GD 12 for 37 US? I would buy a few of those for stock too! Thanks for dropping in, these are all pretty good releases for me.
