+SORTED Food i have an idea, you guys could start a series for collage/uni students, like you have a to make a meal with £5 or somthing, make it a challenge, like who can make the best meal
Yes! Also how to make meals in dorms! My dorm won't have anything but a fridge, microwave, and any small appliances that I or my roommate bring ourselves.
fresh pasta, 100g flour 1 egg per portion, make a bulk of pasta sauce (half peppers, half tomatoes on a tray, 90 minutes @ 150 -> mix up -> heat up again and add basil(to taste) lemon(about 3tbs worth per tray of tomato/pepper mix) salt, pepper and lastly a tiny bit of brown sugar) chicken filet (large packs frozen are super cheap!) let let them unfreeze, then chunk them up. start to fry 1/2 red onion and 1 clove of garlic per chicken filet, when chicken is coloured, add half a lemon per chicken filet. -> -> amazing food i eat it almost every day ^,..,^ my corridor mates seem to approve aswell!
I spent one month this year in Peru. The food is incredibly tasty. Like the best I've ever ever tried. And I'm a foodie, a big foodie. The best was ' sushi fusión ' which is sushi mixed with peruvian cuisine because of japanese immigration in Peru. So so so so good, maki with sauces, with ceviche-like fish on top, oh those sauces on the sushi were really awesome.
i am so excited to see more videos from you guys especially since you guys have so much potential and i hope years and years later you're still going strong and much much more well known! here's to a great year
Hi, I'm Peruvian and you might want to try something called 'lomo saltado' basically it is sautéed beef with onions, tomatoes and Peruvian chillies. Peruvian food is all about the fusion of different cultures and this dish brings together some Chinese cooking techniques and Peruvian ingredients. Try It!
Finally you are taking a deeper look into peruvian food, as a Peruvian myself I can assure you we have a massive and great selection of dishes that are yummy and healthy!
Lomo saltado is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten! It is traditionally served with rice, but I've recently had it as a sandwich with an over easy egg and it's life changing.
On the note of trends, out with the 2014 trend of Mike's Mum Cardigans and in with matching green plaid shirts by Barry and Jamie for 2015. But obviously, the red shorts are a timeless sorted fashion favourite............maybe not.
Ok, here we go. You want peruvian dishes? I can give you peruvian dishes! I'll start with my favourite: - Ají de gallina - Papa a la huancaína - Causa limeña - Chupe de camarones - Lomo saltado - Cau cau - Tacu tacu - Aguadito - Anticuchos - Seco de carne There are sooo many more! I can link you to this, our yearly food festival called Mistura where restaurants and foodies from around the country showcase their best dishes. It's usually around September or October and you guys should definitely come!!! facebook.com/misturaperu Also I will upload a recipe for Pisco Sour to the Sorted Food App!
There was actually a place in Dublin, Ireland called Worscht that did different hot dogs; different meats (or veggie options) and different toppings. It was a great concept, but sadly it needed more time to perfect their dishes and in a year or two (maybe less) they changed/was only a pop-up.
My mom cooks the best Peruvian food! It tastes just like home. Definitely, a must try is the papa la huancaina. It's a special sauce that can be put on anything, pasta, potatoes, or rice! And then it goes well with a green arroz con pollo :) glad Peruvian food is getting recognized for its deliciousness !
I'm not Peruvian, but I've had their dish called Jalea several times...and it is delicious! I think you guys could do a great take on this dish! Hope to see it soon!
Annie DeFay Hallworth There'll still be plenty of that too... where else would Ben be able to use his novelty bakeware? Just mixing it up... this week was Lucy's Story.
I'm from Chile, and our neighbors from Peru have an outstanding cuisine, it is not only ceviche, they have, causa limeña (mashed potatoes with chicken and avocado on a mold), tiradito de pescado, (very fine slices of fish with citric sauce on top) and some other great dishes that you guy of sorted food must prepare it. I always watch your videos, your work is amazing, greetings from Chile, Victor.

Hey!!!! Awesome you do some peruvian food, you should try ceviche, also rocoto relleno which is a stuffed chilli, also you can try anticuchos, and also try chifa that is a fusion between chinesse food and criollos food, papa a la huancaina is a spicy creamy sauce that you put on top of cooked potatos, and also lomo saltado.

'Papa rellena' is a thing that my mom does sometimes. You could also make 'mazamorra morada', it's so good. And causa limeña of course. Peruvian food can be good, my mom does it for me sometimes but vegan, 'cause I am vegan :)
I live in Korea and recently near the end of 2014, a shop opened selling chocolate marshmallow pizza and at first it did sound a bit weird but it happened to be just like a pastry instead of a meal like a regular pizza. Basically it's a simple dish with dough, melted chocolate as sause and marshmallows arranged on top. I haven't tried it yet but I don't find it too intriguing as it just seems like a sugary pastry..
When they were talking about wearable food, and then they showed a pic of a woman wearing a packaged food item, does anyone know what that was? It looks really familiar to me but I can't remember what it is.
OK. PERUVIAN. THIS IS OUR YEAR. YES. Why does Jamie and Barry look like a father son couple. You know, Jamie the big proud father with a proper fridge and Barry imitating his fathers shirt, beard, hairstyle and fridge the size of ollie
Can you guys make a Fajita Quest? Like the burger quest because (since the burger quest was so popular) many people would enjoy and... who doesn't like a good fajita?
As a Peruvian, I can confirm we have the best dishes. You guys should definitely feature Papa a la Huancaina, lomo saltado, and include suspiro limeño for dessert.

CrispAlli Yup, I never opened nor had a fridge that beeps xD
From the peruvian cuisine, you definitely have to try "Lomo Saltado" and "Causa Limeña".
You think you could bring back the table but as a variation with once or every other month? Cause the friendly dining meals were genius to experience.
I was in Peruvian just a few weeks ago and I fell in love with "Cerdo al cillindro".
There was actually a place in Dublin, Ireland called Worscht that did different hot dogs; different meats (or veggie options) and different toppings. It was a great concept, but sadly it needed more time to perfect their dishes and in a year or two (maybe less) they changed/was only a pop-up.

More musicals pls!! :D You guys are awesome.
One question, the way that Jaime said the word "sausages" is that correct? It's different to how I learnt it, or is mine Australian accented?
Peruvian lomito saltado is DELICIOUS! I tend to add vinegar with the soy sauce, and it's always a hit in my family (we are Colombians)
I love the chats! But do you need to do it in front of an open fridge?
I live in Korea and recently near the end of 2014, a shop opened selling chocolate marshmallow pizza and at first it did sound a bit weird but it happened to be just like a pastry instead of a meal like a regular pizza. Basically it's a simple dish with dough, melted chocolate as sause and marshmallows arranged on top. I haven't tried it yet but I don't find it too intriguing as it just seems like a sugary pastry..
You guys should check out Portland Oregon sometime. There is a huge array of food trucks in downtown Portland. Could be an adventure.

You have been instrumental in the way I cook. I just have loved your videos. And as I am as old as your Grandmothers.. I will gladly be a substitute Granny for all of you .. Hahaaaa.. I have no Grandchildren.. so you can be them.. Just kidding.. I made my very first no knead bread and I am amazed at how easy it was to make..Thank You for being on You Tube... You all are the Best.
