For anyone thinking of buying the game but not quite sure: 1. What you see is what you get. Meaning- All the features that you see is what you get. Story + Career + Sandbox. Sandbox is pointless... makes the game boring. Story is slow in progress and not interrsting at all. Career is fun and the bext way to enjoy it imo. You get to choose your paths and what and how you drive them. 2. Steering wheel is supported and configurable. Not really advanced but changing the damper, feedback etc is available. Playing it on a controller is POINTLESS. Youre better off with a mobile game with gyro controls. 3. Features that make it a sim- Penalties, although sometimes cheesable: -Failing a red light gives penalty. -Running someone over or hitting someone is punishable. -Speeding 5+ over limit is tickatable. -Selling tickets -Passanger interactions: Ask tickets, loud music, sleeping, forgotten items, wheelchair users need special ramp. -Speed bumps, speeding over gives a penalty. -Buses are moderately customizable and mostly functional as in you can change lights, engine off on, plinkers etc. -Rear view mirrors. -Ai is actually quite friendly except for a few cars that sometimes rush. -Configurable routes etc 4. Maps- 2 maps. Seaside valley being the old map from 18 which has a extended part by default. Both are good to drive through for a couple of hours until you get bored. Thing is... its a bus sim... you're supposed to loop around the same part OVER AND OVER.. 5. Should you get it? If you have a sim setup (Weel and pedals, Shifter not neccesary since no manual.) then yes. It is what it looks like and if youre on console, i can confirm its the best option out there. I wasnt sure which to get between on the road or this... i got both... and regret getting OTR since its buggy, boring and just pure driving eith weird mechanics from point A to B and repeat. With this game you sometimes get different scenarios with AI, especially in traffic. If you dont have a wheel then no unless you dont care about driving like a human being but a person with harsh CB. It's also believe it or not but the most updated sim like driving game on console. IF youre on PC... this is no better than ETS. Save your money.
I love this game and play it quite frequently. I’ve been able to really grow my company thanks to this this mod that gives you a free ad you can put on the side of your bus. The ad gives you $5M every week! I’ve also basically finished the entire story mode.
Yeah I reckon this version was slightly rushed, a bit of a cash cow for them to make a new game every couple of years despite not adding much more features
@@SimulatorAdventures Where bus sim 23 ._. Cash cow is a bit harsh for a game like this since other games are starting to do paid battlepass and dlc with a paid game that's priced at that of a triple a game.

Having played this game a lot, I can honestly say that there will no doubt be several bugs that still is there, well over 2 years after release - and albeit the Next Stop update did make this game a lot better, the AI traffic and pedestians are still screwing up in numerous ways. Just my two cents for everyone who at this time thinks of buying the game. It's definitely a solid average game, if you can see past the rustiness.

No, on PS4 the game really struggles maintaining an solid 30 FPS. There are huge FPS drops and it usually only runs at 15-25 FPS. I played this game PS4 before and I can say it's bad, but it's really fun on PS5. On PS5 it runs smoothly with 60 FPS.😊
