    I'd remove so metal from in-between the turrets. It's more weight, cost and blocks for something that won't protect really anything since you have a broadsider. You can just have air there or cheap auxiliary engines or such. Put more armour where it's most needed, you are not trying to protect the empty space on the other side of the craft.

    The idea of this ship reminds me of the super super old lathrix all wood battleship from the complete neter playthrough
    That thing had so many aps and crams on it it was fine even if a quarter of them was gone

      The most impressive thing about that was the fire rate. It was so high, the shells were despawning before they would reach the enemy, which is still a huge brainfuck for me.

    I wonder if its viable to mess with turrets with pistons here. Since its possible to put all turrets on somewhat armored pistons and extend height with ACB's dependant on enemy bearing so ship can broadside with any turret then. But that will make ship wider and costly (and even laggier propably). As for aestetics i recommend to take a look at overlapping 3m to 4m transition slopes for scaly ship looks.

      I've seen a 360 superfiring turret setup using pistons and acbs, it's very cool

    Hey Borderwise, I was testing something recently and it seems that if you set burn rates to 0 for your boilers they aren't going to explode or cause fires, meaning that if you set up a BB to shut off the engines when blocks around or the engines themselves are damaged you can avoid a big fire in your ship

    Against the davidoes, found staggered doom cram is the best against it. Since they all can target their own aimpoints.
    Surprisingly the updated covra managed to kill it, due to the staggered crams

    The davidos predates the gimle i think. I would be interested in seeing how much better it could be if it was build now since it almost looses against some 2m cost ships

      If you place a aps main piece you can just slap ammo intakes on to it and it will accept ANY shel with the downside that they take forever and then some to reload

    • @Mernom
      @Mernom 2 месяца назад +2

      DIFF CWIS takes advantage of the format of battle those ships are built for.
      Since they are intended for 1v1 battles, The guns will be reloaded by spawning, which means that when the first big CRAM volley comes, they are ready to intercept them. Once the first big volley is stopped, the ship is then moving and in a better position to defend itself vs future volleys.

      Tiny and very cheap APS made by just slapping ammo intakes on a firing piece. Can be used to fire max size shells like once an hour or smaller shells more quickly.
