On top of that, it conveys the troubling feelings of a 17 year old, surrounded by events that force them to mature too fast. I felt for the character, and while the writing (at least her character's) has been consistently good, it was her acting that sold me on the show. From the way she portrays internal conflict, and the way she interacts with other characters (especially her fellow actors Hunter Schafer (Jules) and Angus Cloud (Fez), to the gut-wrenching last scene (which is, in part, why they submitted this episode), prove that she deserved this Emmy, among tons of snubbed actors and unworthy winners throughout the years.

Euphoria gutted me. It's such an impactful show, as a survivor of overdose and someone clinically diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the portrayal of this issue is accurate and representative of the challenge. Zendaya truly surprised me with her acting prowess, she was remarkable. Thank you for this story. As much as I love Jodie and Sandra in the Killing Eve, Zendaya deserved this more. Truly, a moving performance that portrayed something so painful and harrowing in the human experience.
Such a great moment. The nomination was already a victory, and after they won the two crafts awards I had hope. Since my hopes seem to be paying off right now, I hope they can get Hunter a nomination too for whenever the second season eventually happens.

Fun fact: Everyone who participated in the Emmys, there was somebody standing outside of everyone's home, I believe, with a hazmat suit and an Emmy. And if you win, you got to keep the Emmy, and if you did not, they took it. So there was a lovely young woman outside of my house with a hazmat suit, and Darnell, who is like my brother and my assistant, when he heard the news, he grabbed it and ran in with it. So that's how it got there so fast.
The way she brought Rue to life is phenomenal. Cant imagine anyone else playing that role; it is one of the most interesting, complex, authentic, honest, intelligent and charming tv character I've ever watched. So well deserved👏🍀

It’s touching how proud the older actresses looked, especially Jen. All the older actresses were fawning over Zendaya in their round table as well.
I could feel her nervousness but I am so proud of her. The shakiness in her voice highlights how truly happy but also humble she is and it makes me so happy to start seeing more young and humble celebrities like her.

Fun fact: Everyone who participated in the Emmys, there was somebody standing outside of everyone's home, I believe, with a hazmat suit and an Emmy. And if you win, you got to keep the Emmy, and if you did not, they took it. So there was a lovely young woman outside of my house with a hazmat suit, and Darnell, who is like my brother and my assistant, when he heard the news, he grabbed it and ran in with it. So that's how it got there so fast.

I'm not a big TV watcher -- in fact, I don't own a tv and watch on a computer, and my apt. building pays for HBO -- and Euphoria was the first show I ever binge-watched in my entire life, mainly because of her performance from the first episode. And, no I'm not in the demo for this show (I'm middle-aged), but I found her performance just so nuanced and amazing; she's perfect. And she was perfect on Emmy night: the only nominee to dress-up for the event!
