I don’t think y’all understand how much i love this ending. Zendaya’s vocals are stunning, the choreography sends literal chills down my spine, the metaphors with Rue’s jacket, everything about this ending is something i love.

I noticed every time Rue felt bad or was reaching a low time in the season this song started playing in the background. It was a very subtle touch and I loved it. You could hear it slowly getting louder and louder every time she was closer to relapsing.

Hard agree on this. She needs to focus on recovering or at the very least have a healthy relationship because whatever it is she has going on with Jules is incredibly toxic- especially in this state of her life
But the thing is Rue depends on Jules to help her get better. She’s the reason she doesn’t relapse. Yes it is an unhealthy relationship in a few ways but she’s clean

im sad that neither this song nor the show is getting the recognition they deserve. Im not tryna bash other series, but 13 Reasons Why or Riverdale got nothing on this masterpiece.
(I'm sorry, y'all are right, 13RW shows some really dark things that are actually happening in the world, but sometimes the show made me cringe (whenever Hannah appeared in S2). I never said that 13RW was bad, cuz it's not, but i think Euphoria is better. About Riverdale...well let's not talk about that show)
That’s because those shows are on Netflix and a lot of people have that whereas this is only on HBO and I think people only really bought HBO was for the whole GoT series
I mean it is produced by Drake and he even has the picture of Zendaya as his ig profile. There’s quite a lot of ads of scenes of Euphoria on RUclips and other social media platforms. And there are even famous celebrities praising the actors for the roles on the show and watching it as well. I thought the same thing too until I actually laid out all the facts and saw that it’s does get a good amount of promotion, but as many other relevant series now, we just need to give it some more time to the point where more and more people will recognize this show for what it is...a masterpiece.

So Rue stopped wearing her hoodie when she met Jules because Jules brought her protection and comfort and Rue didn’t feel the need to wear her dads hoodie if she had Jules. My theory. She’s imagining this sequence in a state of euphoria while overdosing. In reality someone is giving her CPR. Probably while she’s getting pushed up and down by the choir. She see’s her dad briefly because she’s somewhere in between and that’s why he can see her and hold her for a moment before letting her go. Hopefully she ends up in a coma at the hospital, her favorite place. In the end credits we hear the birds and warm breeze, so I’m thinking she’s in a hospital room with the a/c on. Zendaya can sing, dance, act, and she is a model. And she also looks naturally beautiful and I think she has a great character. How can you not like this woman? This is the kind of role model we need. 😊

Rue is alive. Or at least they're trying to bring her back. Notice at 1:11 the way she slips from her dad's hands (she's coming back to life) and she then falls into the hands of the choir. Then, they move her up and down while zendaya grabs her heart, the whole scene is a cinematographic way of CPR. They even hold their hands up. Amazing work, brilliant acting and amazing directors.
Thats exactly what I was thinking. I was think she overdosed again and that scene is what was going on in her head.

I also felt this this way. I thought the moving circle represented the continuation of life and the way they were throwing her up and down referenced the way she said her depression would wax and wane, as well as general highs and lows a person will experience throughout life.
She didn't relapse or overdose, the creators of euphoria said it just ended with rue walking alone crying on the streets
Annie Tg her hands across her chest are just for support, just like at 2:08, it helps keep your upper body tighter. Kind of like in figure skating.

I am just so enamored and in love with the unique soundscapes, vocals, and rhythms that Labrinth has created for Euphoria. The sounds are just so refreshing, original, explorative, and are defining on their own level. & when the choir hits in this song, it's layered so beautifully, and powerfully. Alongside the echoed out vocals 'doing it all for love'. And those synth sounds & unique soundscapes that Labrinth creates, it's all just so powerfully encapsulating. This is absolute musical brilliance, creativity, and exploration at it's finest. I am so thankful I got to experience all of this!
That was the most insane creative ending to the series and 100% unexpected well done to the production team for creating such a magical ending to this amazing first season👏🏼👏🏼
