  • WaterGEMS Connect Edition is one among hydraulic modeling software that as Engineers we use to design Water Supply Projects. In today's WaterGEMS tutorial, we are going to learn how to design a water supply network with WaterGEMS!
    We will cover concepts like Flextables, Demand Control Centre and also we will learn how to optimize our model for Velocity, Headloss Gradient and pressure! It's going to be a step by step tutorial that shows you how simple learning WaterGEMS is!

    Thanks Eng. for this informative videos. Please explain how to determine pipe demand, nodal demand and pipe flows assuming you have design data for a project.

      Good question, in short, you are talking about water demand analysis! To determine demand you have two options
      1. through water demand estimation based on population data or land use/coverage.
      2. Design manuals (some countries set a minimum demand that one can use on a given water supply network)!
      But the common one is "water demand analysis"!
      So far we have not covered that in this channel but I am planning to launch practical training on EPANET and water demand analysis is one of the topics that we'll cover! If you are interested stay tuned for a further announcement within this week or the coming one!

    How to calculate headloss gradient manually , what's the formula used for it? Thanks in advance sir!

      You can use any headloss formula, say Hazen William then divide the answer by pipe length
