I think it’s very very very important to do a video on gear coverage/gear Maintenance! We spent a lot of money on fish gear and the last thing we want to waste a beautiful day fish due to gear failure. Rather is cleaning your guides, cork sealant, Lubing your reel, switching out line when necessary,ECT... I think this topic need to address more often.
Great video as always Matt! We fished Clear Lake for the first time yesterday, and man you guys are blessed to live on such an amazing fishery. We concluded that were gonna save up for a guide trip with ya, It would be worth every penny to fish that place with a living legend. Good luck on the trip, and safe travels!
You might be used to it or overlook it but the fact that these guys put links to all the gear and baits makes this one of the best fishing channels on YT. So valuable. Thanks
As always I appreciate you Matt and Tim with Tacticalbassin. I was there at BacarracLodge the same week you guys were at the other Lodge. So cool! I haven't been back since but hope to maybe again.
What I'm about to say is common place for me. I'm currently gearing up for tommorow with hopes to get on em'. You and Tim help me feel confident time after time before my boat touches water and have helped me put fish in the boat or kayak for years now. Thanks for the tips and I'll be a sub for as long as you guys continue this onslaught of free info. Thank you guys for all you do for us obsessed anglers.
This is hands down my favorite youtube channel. The both of you do such a great job explaining and deep diving into all techniques. Just watching your videos and listening to how far you go into detail has instilled a lot of confidence into me always trying something new. Your original magnum crankbait video was a game changer for me. After fishing a 10xd all last summer it doesn't even feel like a big crankbait anymore.
Hey Matt and Tim, I really like your braid to mono system of fishing, I was wondering if you guys could make a updated in-depth video about the blood knot you tie, and how you use different lengths of leader for different presentations, as well as different rods you use for the braid on different techniques. Thanks, and Happy fishing

Excellent info Matt. Fishing tomorrow at marrowbone lake Tennessee. I’ll try some deep divers but there is a ton of trees even deep. It’s in post spawn with clouds of baby lmb in the cover. Males are just chasing mostly ignoring. A few female cruisers shallow but no interest in top water yet. I dig seeing the family pumped about the whole fishing life. Safe travels
I watched this video last night, went out this morning and tore it up on a main lake saddle/hump. Sexy shad 6xd was the ticket. I’m in Ohio, fish were a combination of post spawn and pre-spawners.
My biggest issue is finding exactly where to throw these baits at. I’m inexperienced at finding the ledges and places to utilize this technique. I have tons of deep crankbaits in my boat and I need to starting using them more. Thanks Matt!!!!👍🏻🐟🎣💯👌🏻

When are y'all gunna go to Smith Mountain lake guys???? You would be pleasantly surprised with the fish in this lake. Is a normally clear reservoir with rock, brush, and lot of docks. Good crank bait fishing year around if you know what your doing. May and June I would say is our best 2 months in my opinion for MY style of fishing. Incredible night bite on wake baits. Thunder sticks to be exact. You would be surprised, at the size of bass you can catch on them when the alewives are spawning. You can catch em pretty much any way you want to year round but there are certain times of year when they go really deep like 25 plus feet, or suspend in 30 feet over 150 feet of water. That's when I struggle. Bout the only ways I can think of you can't catch em on SML is frogs and true braid and flipping stick punching vegetation cuz we ain't got any anymore. Use to but not anymore. Swimbait fishing the way y'all do it is what I would like to see, TRULY. There's 2 baits majority of guys say you can't catch em on but a week in spring time and that's a swim jig and a swimbait. And I've caught nice bass on both in every month of the year. The swim jig at night is killer when there feeding on bigger gizard shad and bluegill. But I really wish y'all would come here man for real dudes. Its more like y'alls western lakes, and Cali then any other lake I know of in my area. It's a truly under rated lake guys.
What you described with pounding an area trying to pick off an entire school of fish sounds a lot like what Paul Elias did t to set that massive record on Falcon. With a huge deep chartreuse crank no less.
