I personally really love the 6th sense cloud 9 crank baits because they come in every diving depth you need, have great colors, and come with great hardware out of the package. Also congrats man on almost having 100k! You deserve for all of the hard work you’ve been putting in!
The video I've needed! Deep cranking is something I've always wanted to love but once I get past about 10 feet I can't seem to trigger them. It's so frustrating seeing a school and not catching fish. Tyler you have the best videos for fishing on YT, best of luck and God Bless!
Thanks for the lessons! I fish the same lake you are fishing in this video and always loose Crankbaits. After watching the video I tried bringing my lure through the sunken trees and stopping as soon as I came in contact with something. I was amazed that I could work it through the limbs without getting hung up. Thanks again.
For a while there I kept thinking "Crocs huh? I don't think we can be friends" but after seeing them over and over again, I'm gonna try a pair out on my next fishing trip. Keep up the good work man. You are a wealth of knowledge and we appreciate you sharing.
I hope to use your tips the next time I'm on my buddies boat. I've never caught anything on a deep crank, fingers crossed I change that soon! Great video mate
Always love your videos! I kept loosing decent fish on treble hooks when they only had back hooks in. Did the figure 8 on a recent jerkbait catch and worked like a charm! Thanks man, keep up the solid content
Subscribed, I used to do a lot more deep cranking than I do now. Been thinking I need to start throwing the deep runners again. I have caught some toads cranking. I just get worn out a lot faster now that I am almost 50! 😂
Thanks Tyler for the crank bait tips. I’ve been watching for a while now and enjoy your videos very much. You give very understandable info. Just a thought soon you will hit 100,000. Not to far from 250, Lol Thanks man catch you soon!!
Love you're videos Cranking is a Big deal for me. I live in Northwest Arkansas when I'm around timber and brush I cut the front facing hook off my front treble hook. You would be Surprised!
Your tips are golden working even in my country i landed more bass than my friends when I started watching you . Am in morroco by the way ,north Africa and i am having hard time buying the tackle the shipping costs are extremely expensive Thank you man for the golden tips
When I started ripping big rubber baits on my musky setup, it's a rather violent action to put that action on the bait. I wondered about doing similar on the lighter bass stuff and oh yeah it worked. Deep cranks, square bills, shallow divers - all of them produced really good reaction bites with that same setting the hook snap. It's definitely at the pause or the first motion put on the bait after that drives them nuts. I see this when in super clear water with pike too. Burning the bait in, and I see them following, give it a quick snap forward and dead stop. The fly up to the bait to close the distance and stop couple inches away, just staring at it. Side fins flared out and twitching, but tranced out by the pause (1-3 second pause even). The second the bait starts moving forward again they just explode on it.
I have a question on knots, and I should have asked on your knot video and I may ask there as well, I learned the San Diego jam knot probably 25+ years ago and have used it successfully without it untying. What is the advantages of using these other knots in lieu of the San Diego such as the palomar? I understand the snell with the way it offsets the hook. Should I be using a different knot in different situations?
I was deep diving cranking yesterday and couldn’t get a bite even though I saw dozens of fish suspended on electronics. I’ll try a few retrieves you showed next time. Do you tie direct or use a snap with your cranks? I’ve been using a snap for quick lure changes but maybe that’s my issue
What line do you guys usually use for a 15 ft diving crank? I find that I often break off when running 12-15lb floro when they dive deep. Should I go to 17 or 20? Thanks!
Crankbaits in the summer in Oregon catch some of the bigger bass for sure, .unfortunately I use stock hooks and waiting to hook that big bass that can bend my hook
Learned something from this video.... you're an Ohio boy! Me 2! What part you from? I grew up in the very NW corner. Did a lot of fishing in NE Indiana.
Has anyone ever figured out why on some casts the crankbait will tumble and other times it’s like a rocket and goes straight. Is it how much line you have out from the tip, more the better? I can’t figure it out. Seems random
@BassFishingHQ, I was deep cranking during my last tournement 18-20ft, the problem I was having was picking up muck off the rocks. Any tips on not picking up muck off the bottom. I ended up putting it down because I was having to clean it after every cast. Congrats from New Hampshire on closing in on 100k!!
Why do you always have gloves on and sometimes face covering? Just wondering, I see a lot of people with the neck scarves over the face. Why? Is it a scent thing?
I love fishing a crankbait like a jerk bait. To me there's no better way to elicit strikes. At least it works for me anyhow. And in all actuality, that's all that matters. Not to sound like a dink but I'm not teaching As You Are
Agreed. That reminds me, now that the lake is down 40’ since my last outing, it’s time to see if I can find the timber that ate my crankbait last time.
@@ricksonora6656 you'll find some just in the rocks running up the shore. A pond out here was down around 2ft and I found 4 lures in just half the pond.
Picked a good time to subscribe. Gonna be going on a big fishing trip for the first time to beaver lake Arkansas and the white river. That 500 dollar gift card would help so much 🥲

I use Crocs when fishing only bc they’re comfy but each to their own
Soft plastic, quieter footsteps. Or you could go barefoot like some do.
Love deep divers for the versatility in catching different species, works great for bass and walleye
You absolutely have the BEST, most informative instructional videos on RUclips! I have definitely become a better fisherman because of you!
New fishing men here! Learning the way to catch more fish 🎣 🐠 Thanks for sharing tips.

Awesome new cranking technique to try. Thanks

I have the 13 fishing and XD cranks. Love them all at Tenkiller. Very deep lake, and I love cranking
I’ve been smoking fish on that 5xd this year!!! Thanks for the great advice keep going!!!
Great break down. Thank you for sharing this information. Very useful will have to try this. It would also be nice to win some useful baits. 👍

Holy cow that fast retrieve you demo’d was crazy. I would have never tried something like that, now I have to :).
Great tips!
Great vídeo, great explication on water 👍🏻👏🏻🤙🏻

The TVA Twitch is real on The Tennessee River Chain in dead current times.
New here . Love the boat !

Definitely not easy getting this bite but it’s still my favorite way to catch them.
Deep crankbaits are probably my favorite summer time lure. I need to get on the water and try out some these tips.
What state are you from? I’m from Georgia and trying to figure out what the fish like the most.
Haha Watch a few more minutes to find out your in Ohio.
Great session!
I'd say a 4th retrieve is the violent VERTICAL set sweep, thus allowing the bait to fall intermittently, same way as your 3rd method
I hope I win I really need a new pole reel setup! Thank you for all your videos amazing content!
New sub ! Liked 🙏😀😁
Woohoo let’s get 100k 😎
Everybody always talks about the 6XD. I think the 5XD is very under the radar and is something fewer fish have seen

So, many companies out there make them more precise.
I got a glass cranking tatula rod and threw a popper on it. Got crushed and the bass couldn’t gain any leverage.

Dude i been losing jerk baits by just casting lmaooo im def getting stronger line
This is a catcherman. If you're an average fisherman, you don't need these specific things to use a crankbait lol
Wearing socks with crocs? Thought that was illegal.
Why do you always have gloves on and sometimes face covering? Just wondering, I see a lot of people with the neck scarves over the face. Why? Is it a scent thing?
Cause when you spend a lot of time on the water…that’s too much sun and I don’t like sunscreen
@@BassFishingHQ I’ve always wondered. I kinda figured as much but thanks for answering

crank bait is perfect for targeting predatory fish. especially with a very noisy voice, will call the fish out of the nest ..
Unless you have a boat do not waste your money on deep divers
