In my opinion, this is how it should’ve always been. I feel like Jerma puts way too much pressure on himself, especially as far as being consistent and entertaining for his audience. Seeing him give himself some breathing room for his schedule and aptitude is very healthy and welcome. Who knows, the well-being and freedom it will probably bring honestly might mean he streams even more, given he’ll likely feel comfortable being more sporadical and laid back

I would be sad if he quit streaming for good, and part of me is nervous that will still happen, but as long as we still get some livestreams every few weeks or so I'll be happy. I honestly enjoy watching the random small games like Suika and WarioWare more than the big ones, so I hope he does more of those from now on. Shorter livestreams are more digestable for me.

I’m used to him streaming once every two or three weeks now. Now when he does stream it’s like a nice meet up with a friend you don’t get to see often anymore. As long as you get to see that pal every now and again you still have that connection. God damn that analogy sounded parasocial, I promise I’m not weird. As a jerma fan from the tail end of the "germ intro" TF2 commentary videos, I thoroughly look forward to every new Jerma arc.
When he first started to branch out from TF2, I was worried. I was there for TF2, or so I thought. Then I watched the other videos and realised there was something more to this Jeremy Massachusetts 1985.
As he branched out more into livestreaming and stopped being a RUclipsr, I wasn't watching a lot on Twitch at the time and started to fall off the wagon. Then one day, I found him again, of course doing some unhinged bizarre shit. But on a scale that I had never thought would be possible back when he was that guy who I used to watch every day after school.
Now we're at the sunset of his livestreaming career and I think it's a great time for him to move on. Chronic pain (and potentially other health conditions) are very difficult to live with and to manage, and it is very easy to aggravate your condition by taking on too much stress and work.
I have no sense of FOMO with the end of his livestreaming career. Jerma is endlessly creative and relentlessly weird, and the only way to retain that is for him to be true to himself in whichever way that manifests artistically. Personally, I'm very keen to see Jerma the weird little goblin in other streamer's big events. I loved Shufflemania and I'd be so keen to see him in something like QTCinderella's Master Baker.
Whatever he makes (and he WILL keep making stuff) will end up being very Jerma. You can't ask for anything more than that.
