Some of the fans at the game were classless. Jerry Krause built the roster to win those championships. As a fan born and raised in Chicago that lived through the era it was an amazing time. There was a tension that spilled over into the media in regards to the Phil and Scottie against Jerry. We all knew that Jerry wanted Phil gone and us as fans were hurt because MJ stated that he only stays if Phil stays. That crushed alot of fans. Jerry is one of the greatest GM's in NBA history and he will always be respected by "REAL" Bulls fans.

Just as fans were expected to tolerate and go along with the kneeling, setting in the locker room disrespecting the national anthem, time for ownership to tolerate how the fans feel. even though it's probably a little unfair i blame mj and pippen a little their relentless bagging on jerry back then and in the documentary played a big part in the fans refusing to acknowledge jerrys part in the bulls legacy jerry is no saint in this story but he damn sure deserves his credit
He broke up the team and got rid of Phil Jackson after they had just won their 6th championship so he could start a rebuild. The Bulls haven’t won a championship since and haven’t even made the Finals. There’s no guarantees in rebuilding so why break up a team that could have possibly won it again the following year. Jordan said it best that team deserved the right to defend their championship and let a team beat them first. He told Phil Jackson before the start of the 6th championship season that he can go 82-0 and he still won’t be back as coach of the Bulls. He already decided to fire a coach who’s won 5 championships a year in advance before he ended winning a 6th championship makes absolutely no sense. So the animosity is understandable HOWEVER the man has passed away so no need to boo a man who’s passed away and to your point he put together the dynasty so he deserves credit as well. This season has been a nightmare for us and this may be how he leaves the Dubs, on a really bitter note. When Steve Kerr returns to Chase Center years after he has left the organization, every single warriors fan should be on their feet trying to get as loud as possible. This man has given me alongside the rest of dub nation some of our best memories associated with basketball. I will forever be grateful for all he has done for us he has long ago cemented himself as a Warriors legend. Fans cannot celebrate the fact that Krause did an amazing job building a team around Jordan? The ones who boo'd mustve been new age bandwagon fans whos only knowledge of the Bulls Dynasty in the 90s is from watching The Last Dance on netflix. They can't appreciate that Krause scouted Pippen when he was just a d3 player? Or Horace Grant? Finding Kukoc overseas? Getting Harper? Putting together the acquisition of Rodman? Bringing in Tex Winter, and making him teach Phil Jackson the Triangle system? Replacing Doug Collins with Phil Jackson? These were BIG MOVES Krause did for the Dynasty.
People today no longer have any decorum, any class, any sense of protocol or respect. This is a sign of broken families, influence of mass media, and pervasive violence in our world today. Up until about 15 years ago this would have never happened at a special moment like this. Krause’s wife is a grieving widow and something like this would only set her back. It probably took a lot of effort and energy for her to work up the courage to come out for the evening and have her late husband honored. After hearing all of the boos it most likely upset her a great deal. I lost my Dad 11 years ago and my Mom still has difficult days and days where she doesn’t feel like going anywhere. When we do get her out she has to muster up a lot of effort and courage. Heaven forbid any of these booing fans ever lose a spouse or a parent. Then they will be in her shoes. Despicable
Fair play. Where’s the self-awareness? Her husband was a petty POS. A lot of that was more than likely fostered and enabled at home. Don’t go out in public when you know your husband killed the team out of spite and ego that he’s now accepting posthumous honors from. Seriously. Where is the self-awareness?
Krause was huge when it comes to the success of the 90s bulls but also understand the anger people have for him breaking up a championship team and didn’t allow them to go for a 7th ring and 4-peat..
Be honest with yourself here…Krause could’ve won them 15 championships and people will be booing and blaming him for not winning 16. This society is a joke.
booing someone who isn’t here to defend themselves is just another level of disrespect and just making that person’s wife cry is a whole nother level, just so disappointing
At what point do people begin to call out the true culprit which is Michael Jordan? MJ had complete control over that self serving documentary & used his power to rehash his Personal Gripes against teammates, management & anyone else he disliked during his tenure in the league. Jerry is responsible for acquiring multiple players during those championship runs but because Jordan dislikes him the world must dislike him also...
What have we become as a society where a man, posthumously represented by his wife and children, gets booed? This is shameful on every level. What a disgrace to human decency. Do better Chicago fans! I know Jerry was very unpopular for breaking up the bulls dynasty but without him masterminding and engineering trades and hirings, the dynasty would have never happened. I look at Jerry Krause's wife's face, when he was being honored for something and the crowd was booing him even though he's dead. Because of some of his actions, his wife paid for it. It honestly breaks my heart, probably much more than it should. I just want to hug that woman and tell her I'm sorry that people treated her like that on what should have been a joyful occasion.
Exactly. The same idiots who boo are the same ones who use the term “we” when describing their favorite teams, as if they are actually part of the team.
I feel bad for the widow, but not for Krause. It's no secret the team and fans DESPISED him and still do. I'll never forget the ending to Last Dance when the Bulls won their sixth ring and Jerry stomps off livid about it. Good riddance.

I was born at the end of the Jordan era, and I've been through a lot, from when we were trash, to the baby Bulls, and when we got Derrick Rose and onward. Granted, Jerry Krause broke up out dynasty, but he built it from the ground up, so he deserves some credit. That's why he's one of the best GMs, and he's a hall of famer.

This should tell you everything you need to know.
Krause gave Chicago six rings, hiring everybody from Pip, Phil, Tex, Bach, Kukoc.. everyone except MJ. Krause is a legend. Salute.
As someone who lives in Chicago and knows what the 90s Bulls means to the city, I think it is absolutely so disrespectful to boo Kraus. Sportsmanship and respect is not only bounded to athletes, can also apply to fans too.
Just as fans were expected to tolerate and go along with the kneeling, setting in the locker room disrespecting the national anthem, time for ownership to tolerate how the fans feel. And those years of roster building for a championship was all about making money, nothing more. Funny how elites have issues of being tolerant of how others feel. Classless act by the fans? Probably. Booing the guy that put together their dynasty. That’s wild.
Especially don’t view his widow.
If the ones who booed knew he passed away and knew his widow was in attendance then shame on them.

Steve Kerr in the past two years has essentially put the Warriors in positions to fail night in and night out. He has failed to recognize our shortcomings this offseason and did not encourage Dunleavy to invest into height.
Despicable
Nailed it.
Still doesn’t mean you boo a dead person. That’s disrespectful
Be honest with yourself here…Krause could’ve won them 15 championships and people will be booing and blaming him for not winning 16. This society is a joke.
Booing a dead man infront of his wife is just gross
booing someone who isn’t here to defend themselves is just another level of disrespect and just making that person’s wife cry is a whole nother level, just so disappointing
😂
