PIPER Comanche PA 24 - Emergency gear extension warning

In this video I demonstrate the proper emergency gear extension test with the low friction gear cables to avoid cracking main gear trunions. So many Comanches are damaged with these full travel violate gear drops banging down. Even with the original gear cables in good condition the drop is severe & should be limited. Also on the older Comanches the gear switch has a off position & you don't have to use the breaker or master switch to position it half down. After the emergency extension you bump the emergency lever release in position with the switch in the gear down position. To bump the lever release the opposite way use the breaker, master or gear switch off position going up.
