    Thx, that is perfect timing. I just managed to place my first 5 tracks plus edits on pond5 and 2 tracks on audiojungle. Now, I'm looking for a third library, therfore, no surprise that I love this video 😍. All the best to you and your family!

    I would love to get into melody loops so badly!
    Thank you for taking the time to make this list!
    Amazing video!
    Can you make a video on how to do the loop edits!?
    What part should we loop the chors or verse part? Should the loop have a stinger?
    We still learning! lol
    Thanks again for the ongoing support!

    Envato Elements has always been invite only as far as I know, and you have to reach a quite extreme level of sales to be accepted, even if you’re an Elite author on AJ it’s no guarantee to be accepted. This is my understanding from reading the forums anyway.

    Thank you! A fantastic set of videos you've made. I've got about 20 great tracks, but I have never mastered them. Any advice? I'm considering opening each stereo WAV into a new session in Logic to set them all to LUFS -12dB with gain and a little limiting, to add the Metadata tags myself. And then to register them with a P.R.O. as I submit them to all these you've mentioned. Might hit you up for a few one-on-one classes, since I've just downloaded your PDF starter. Gracias!

      No offense, but that doesn't mean that nobody is selling on MusicGrid. Let's forget about me and my sales, but I have have students that have sold on MusicGrid. And the good thing is that they send emails every time you make a sale. Which I love.

    Hi Daniel, I hope you're doing well !
    I'm currently uploading music to some of these libraries. I wanted to upload to Motion Array but my tracks are queued since june... I don't understand why... Now queued #1009.
    I remember this summer I was somewhere near position #780. So it increased ! How possible is that. Have you ever experienced that ?
    It's the 3 firsts tracks i'm uploading...
    Thank you for your regular work and this channel, I love it !

    • @StockMusicLicensing
      @StockMusicLicensing  11 месяцев назад +1

      It shouldn't take that long to be reviewed. My tracks are usually around 2,000 in the queue and they get accepted within a week. The only explanation is that is your first tracks. You should contact support to see why is taking so long.

    Thanks so much for this!
    I had a question about arrangement of stock tracks actually - theres an idea starting to develop in my mind that libraries/customers mostly want tracks with similar energy levels throughout the entire track, not sure if this is true? So for example a track that's 3 minutes long, has ~1 minute of upbeat fast energy, then ~1 minute of a much slower section, then lastly another ~1 minute of upbeat energy - would this not be desired in stock music? A lot of popular music has such shifts in energy levels, with really hard-hitting choruses, followed by much slower breakdowns that build back up into a second chorus. Should stock tracks eschew this kind of energetic ups and downs and try to maintain similar energy levels throughout? Thanks!

    When trying to apply to Envato elements as an author (I'm already an Audiojungle author with 1 sale) it asks me for 4 categories. None of these is music. Should I lie (web, photo, video, graphics) or is there other way to apply for Audiojungles Authors??

  • @robertbarner7626

    Hi, I'm a beginner in stock music licensing. Uploaded my first tracks to Pond5 a few weeks ago. (11 and counting of now, and not a single bite. :( How long does it typically take?) Was actually going to start with AJ and I'm signed up there but of course they've got a freeze on new contributors. Does anyone have a recommendation for the one or two best options to go with in the meantime? Preferably something kind of noob-friendly until I get the hang of this?

    • @CheapCharlieMusic
      @CheapCharlieMusic 2 года назад

      Most of the libraries are dead and you get no sales anyway. If you price your tracks at pond5 for 5 bucks then you will get maybe some. but with only 11 tracks I guess not, sadly.... The only active library at the moment is motion array, motion elements ( if you join global partner program ), pond5 ( price tracks cheap ) and AJ ( price tracks cheap ).

    Hi Daniel, great channel!
    Question about 123RF. On the upload page they have you check a box indicating that your media, "Are free from any royalty payments which are payable or may be payable to any performing, mechanical, or other similar rights society in any jurisdiction that collects and administers royalty payments on behalf of music publishers, writers and performers; and that I am not a member of any such Collection Society."
    That last part, if I'm reading it correctly, means that even if the music isn't registered with BMI, the fact that I'm a member of BMI excludes me from 123RF.
    Am I understanding this correctly?

    I was tempted to join 123RF but their license specifically says they don't work with P.R.O. registered composers? (not that I am yet, but I might be at some point)

    • @andreasfranzmann9634
      @andreasfranzmann9634 3 года назад +1

      That's right and same goes with Melody Loops. These are non-P.R.O. libraries.
      But if you are with BMI for example you can "opt-out" tracks and kind of make them non-P.R.O.
      I however am with the german Gema and opting out is not really possible there. Quite a bummer..

    I was just uploading my first track onto Dreamstime and noticed they had a few interesting checkboxes, namely labeled "Sell the Rights" and "Web Usage". It seems that "Sell the Rights" means if someone purchases the track, you have to remove that track from sale from the library and all other libraries, which doesn't seem like a great option. "Web Usage" seems to mean that they can incorporate it as part of their website or something that can be re-distributed, which seems okay I suppose. They also have a recommended price of $250 (minimum!) to $5000, which is rather insane for a single stock track. I was able to set a custom price at my standard $35, but I'm curious as to why their recommended prices are so high. Also, should I up my price if I tick the "Web Usage" box? Do other sites like Pond5 include the "Web Usage" license, or just Dreamstime?
