How's it sit in the rankings, where's my beard, and pilots? These and other questions answered in the blogaroni: www.3dpprofessor.com/2023/06/08/making-magic-with-the-mingda-magician-x2/
Wonderful review. I got the predecessor Mingda Magician X last year. I had struggled with a cantankerous Ender for a couple of years and I was discouraged. In late 2023 I bought the Mingda - for only $40 more than the Ender cost - and I was astounded by how easy it made everything. Great prints immediately. No need to calibrate or tinker. It offered the joy I wanted 3D printing to be. It's good to see that Mingda is maintaining its quiet superiority. If only I hadn't wasted a couple of years with that Ender. But you know what NATIONAL LAMPOON used to say... "Marry your second wife first"
thanks for the review professor! I don't know why but whenever you say the outro line I expect the last thing for you to say is "Muahahaha!"
"Thanks for watching, muahahaha"? I mean, I don't think that flows well, but okay.
Thanks for the review. I get asked a lot what printer is best to start with. This seems like a good option. I had loads of trouble with my KP3S, hopefully this is better built.
Very cool and honest video about this 3D Printer. Just a little note on unloading the filament... isn't there a lever where you pull on it to take out the filament like the Titan extruder or the BMG extruders?
Not on this printer. The only way to release the tension is to just about entirely disassemble the hot end.
I just ordered this 3d printer and am a beginner. Did i make a good choice you think?
I think you'll do great things. Stick with it, and have a good time!
Do not care about the unload feature. I have the first generation of the Mingda X and I just push the filament down which replaces the old one. Job done. Unloading the filament sounds a bit clumsy to me and counter intuitive.
It just seems wasteful that way, to me.
@@3dpprofessor Sure, you will waste about 15-20cm of filament. I am not bothered about that. Happy to sacrifice that instead of fiddling with the unload feature that is somewhere in the menus.
How can I update the firmware I think I know but I’m asking just in case
It's different with every 3D pritner, and it's been a long time since I checked, so I'll have to say go to their website and do what they tell you.
@@3dpprofessor Thanks for this video, made sure to subscribe and like. 👍
tldw; A bit more expensive but it works well?
Should watch, but it does work pretty good.
ayoooo first! also 😂 I know its basic to say first
If it goes any slower It will stop.
Speed ain't everything.
@@3dpprofessor Your correct but it certainly helps.
Wayyyyyy to slow.
You need to watch my SV07 review.
@@3dpprofessor ive seen your sv07 video. I was going to buy one. Not so much now.
@@CritterRacingBut you get the point, don't you? I would rather have slow and works than fast and garbage.
I meant to say i watched a glowing youtube video of the sv07. Made me want to add one to my fleet. Then i saw your review and it changed my mind. Thats all. No disrespect.
Thanks for letting me know about the hidden unload fewture
