How do you think AI-chan did? Also how do you feel about leaving English subtitles out of the Japanese Topics Mania videos?

      人間が人間を人工知能に置き換えるのは悲しいですが、予想されることです。かつて機械が製造工程の仕事や会計係を取って代わってように、それが起こっています。人間は、自分たちをより便利で、技術的に優れた存在に置き換えざるを得ないものなんです。

It was fine for me, but I could have used some furigana for a couple things like 虹(didn't know that one), or 汚染(I know dirty but didn't know the second one. No biggie, figured them out on the 2nd listen.

Extremely impressive! She engages with you in a very natural way. I liked that Ai was able to tell you the name of the Japanese TV show you were thinking of that started with あっぱれ. And the ありえない "pink rainbow" she came up with was an inspired example!

Love how you corrected some of the speech in the subtitles
This is probably the best Japanese sounding AI voice I've heard so far, I found most of them still have a *thick* American accent, which although humorous isn't so useful for Japanese learners

The problem I have with interacting with AI is although I understand I don't know if what they're saying is natural.
For example when she said she
    しち色
But the note u put said なな色
So would しち色 be wrong or sound unnatural?
Which would be the natural way to say it ?

    • @masayama1618

Hi @prince223681. You notice good point. Shichiiro sounds unnatural. So George put a correct word "nanairo" as a natural word at 4:31. As an another natural word, nanasyoku also can work. Thank you.

Rather like a (free!) alternative to sites like iTalki.
That would be especially useful for self-studiers, if the AI's Japanese was accurate (pitch accent anyone 😆?)!
