It is a a very risky thing to do. Unless you are planning on converting them to polygons I suggest you keep them and just hide them. Make sure not to relocate them, rename them or add prefix to them when uou hide them otherwise they will break. Hope this helps
hi,i need you help.i create guide on the scalpe and when i generate the vizualization from hair the xgen is creating hair inside the mesh ,the same ay when i create the spline to convert to guide the xgen is creating hair inside the mesh,i am face this big problem all time i use xgen.hy this is happening?when i create guide one by one happen the same problem and the hair scale automatically.
Hello. Great tutorials for learning Maya. Please start a character modeling series human body for a start having a perfect topology for animation. Kind of a problem for many students topology for good animation. Waiting for your character modeling tutorial. Thanks for teaching 😇
it's a bit stupid, the hair is always done at the end, it should be possible to change the length of the hair. My object scale is also wrong, when I change the scale I have additional work that I don't want, my objects are paired, what nonsense@@astilcodex9318
When I click Preview, I am getting the message "No preview visible. The Description is set to use guides, but no guides have been created" although I have placed several guides? I am at a loss...
This usually happens when there is a change in the project folder path or structure where Maya cannot find the location of the guides. I'll explain in great detail via the first video. :)
@@anmolawasthi1394 To utilize the selected options effectively, you'll have to start by positioning your splines using the "add or move guides" tool. Then, in the Generator Attributes section, employ the "Specify Points" feature to ensure the generated primitives appear precisely where desired. However, I've encountered challenges maintaining consistency with this workflow. For my XGen setup, I typically opt for the Splines/Randomly across the surface/Placing and shaping guides approach initially, which might align with your previous successful attempts.
15:55 thanks, I forgot about this.

The moment you click Add Guide to your scalp, the Maya continues to force off. How can I fix it? 😭😭
Sounds like a software glitch. Do upgrade to the latest version and give this a try again
Pls I need help! How I make the guide thin? Mine are so thick!
Your model size is too small. Check his videos series on xgen and scale your model to the size of the training model.
