Update. Still getting linting and streaking aplenty. Conclusion I would not reccomend these at all
Im not and Im about 7-8 wash cycles in now.. but like I say in other posts guys will say this about any open pile towel. apparently the new eagle 500 is horendous for linting but it isnt when I use it. I think kamal this issue is generally caused by people buffing vigourly with these types of cloths on something sticky thats pulling on the microfiber and just ripping the fine fibers out the towel. but I honestly dont know Ive written long replies to guys around what can cause these issues but without seeing it happening its impossible to know.. I will shoot a video on this and show you this towel in use not linting.. then Ill show you how I can make it lint if I go turbo buffing with it on a wax or something.
I can tell you right now those cheap coatings are awful! Had a mate ask me to apply one, it was horrible to apply no Smell to it either which I found strange as they need a solvent carrier, I ended up applying Tac systems moonlight onto his Z4.
I used 9h Mr Fix today and it smells strong of solvents.easy to apply as well.
The 470 gsm buffing cloths are phenomenal for the price. I can't feel any difference between them and the eagle edgless. Also no linting what so ever, even on windows. I use that as a benchmark for the general quality of the towel. All other edgless plush split fiber towels I've tried exept the eagles lint on windows (and paint).

I’ve said it before but you do love your microfibres! If there’s one thing I’ve learnt the most about from watching your channel, it’s microfibres. I’ve got a much larger stock now in my garage, I use more with any job I’m doing, I wash and dry them differently (more carefully) and most have come from Imran! Recently got one of those grey mini twisted wheel towels. It’s a great performer and holds loads of water for its size. Use on my wheels and door shuts and the small size makes it easy to keep off the floor.
Anyone else missing this intro music? :)

Have you tried the 400/440gsm edgeless Korean microfiber buffing towels made by cleanykorea-1. The eBay seller is selling them for quite cheap so I just wanted to know if you have tried them and whether or not they are any good.
The price for 5 PCS is $19.20USD around £15GBP with free international shipping. £3GBP per towel seems like an extremely great deal. The Eagle Edgeless towels here are around £7GBP per towel.

Can't believe I protect my microfibres like I do. BERORE any of them for ANY purpose make contact with the car they are flicked out hard to rid them of any contaminants then double checked. John if you sell a range of mf's I'll buy a pack for Xmas present to myself.

you certainly are worthy of the title 'microfiber king' Jon Very good to know there is some compettion towards rag masters quality towels, I've been looking for a new place to get them as their prices have went back up!im as interested as you for this 4 quid ceramic coating, gloss coat has been a staple for me since ive tried a couple of other leading ceramic coatings, easiest to apply in my opinion and 2 years minimum instead of 1 as some of the others advertise? hell yeah Keep it up Jon, excellent work!

Great video as always.Im a huge fan of in2detailing,I’ve bought a lot of the 470gsm cloths since Imran started selling them and they are superb,simple as that and deserve to be in anyone’s detailing collection.I tend to use them either for buffing off waxes or applying Bouncers Done and Dusted quick detailer.Wonderful products! Ive got a couple of the Drinker xl drying towels,again another superb towel that’s kind to paintwork.

Iv had the in2detailing drinker and buffing cloth al most a year now and they are still going strong the rag maxter mins is the only one I don't like it's grabby and leaves lint every where
Great video Jon. I bought the KKD silverback a while back when you said this was the best drying towel. Really good towel but it does take a bit of time for it to soak in all the water.
Next video you could do is how to winter clean your car. It's getting so cold now and I wouldn't want to go out there and clean the car and end up with frost bites and a cold. 👍

great review john :) i have the dual pile buffing cloth and the short pile side has a bit of bite for buffing off waxes and then you can use the plush side for the final buff on the panel..is the drinker stuck together in the middle or does it pull apart like the autofinesse aqua deluxe?

What about amazon basic microfibres?
I'm actually a part of that kirkland microfiber crew, I only use them, lol. I don't argue they're of lower quality, but I've never noticed any marring from wiping with them on my paint.
I have been interested in trying some split weave towels just because they'd release dirt easier from my rinseless washes, but I really don't feel like I can justify the cost.
you wont find cheaper korean split microfiber than the 1.95 (when u buy ten) of this yellow 350 gsm cloth i talk about.. doubt it can stay that price forever. so if you want to have a go that would be a good way

Just get a 3000 Watts leaf blower (preferably with a tight restrictor attachment), and you can throw away 6 out of 10 of your drying towels! If you have a ceramic coating, you can actually throw away 9 out of 10 of them.
Gábor Bérczi so true.... I now use my 75MPh mini blower to dry my truck and all I use thereafter drying is a waffle towel and whalaa!

Just bought 11 (was meant to be 10 but never mind) of the yellow 350.
Firsts half decent microfibres ive bought. I have got some mini reapers but i dont rate them at all.
Looking forward to trying the in2detailing ones. Great price
nice chris.. I keep them for product removal only. If you can keep them in a draw or a sealed bag somewhere it will help (anywhere dust free)... use them with light pressure to remove polish.. wash them on their own at 30-40 deg and quick tumble with 10-15 mins then air dry.. should stay nice for a long time.. avoid over working them pressure wise.. nice light hands..

I use the "very useful" boxes which are virtually air tight.
Im lucky if i get to even clean the car more than 4 times a year at the moment due to working in the middle east most of the year, so these should do me a long time.
And in2detailing are guna be my goto supplier for as much as i can now. Email updates and arrived in less than 24hrs of placing delivery without being charged for delivery.

Have tested Kirkland's cloths for a couple of weeks now,and is surprised positive,so positive that I am thinking of selling all my expensive fancy cloths and using only Kirkland.

Im in the same boat. I have more than I really need for what Im doing and Im desperataly looking to minimise it now. I want absolute bare minimum amount of cloths. If might even be as little as buffing cloth then general prupose terry and 2 different glass cloths and drying towels...

I definitely need some more buffing cloths and a couple of the Korean drying towels Imran sells. One of my cars,is definitely a two toweller! By the way I don’t think they do the Orange double sided towel any more.
I brought the silverback drying cloth and I got alot of streaks and linting on my first go. Brought a couple of the buffing microfibres and alot of fibres came off. Maybe its the quality or something Im not doing right?
Yo kamal, let me just brain dump, I dont know what the issue is but here we go. what Ive seen regardless of the cloth.. If its open pile someone will observe and report linting. had people say it with carpro boas, with old eagles with the new eagles, with in2detailing, autofinesse drying towel, silverback, wooly mamoth.. pretty much everything.
so first up there can sometimes be debry in the open pile cloths from manufacturing, fibers from the cut edges can fall into the cloth or just be loose around the cloth. Lots of the brands recomend a quick detergent free wash first and tumble dry before use to reduce that risk. Sometimes a little brush out before you use the towels is a good idea. I generally just give them the scandanavian flick though and use them out the packet :(
Second though if an open pile towel is working over a surface thats sticky, quite simply some of the fibers are fractions of a milimeter thick and can snap out the towel.. If you go banzai mode on a new open pile towel on a sticky surface you can literally cover the panel in whiskers. And that goes on and a lot of people say their towels linting when in fact they just over work it.
If your using them properly with low pressure and they dont have and loose fibers in them when you use them. but over time you start to notice more and more linting.. It could be picking up fibers in the wash from other things in the machine. Also if that are overheated and baked in the tumble drier they can go stiffer and stringy quickly and when they stiffen the fibers are more prone to breaking down and you will see them lint very easily.
It is also possible that its a batch issue with the chemical splitting process of the microfiber yarn though.
Very difficult for me to say, but like I say every open towel pile Ive talked about someones had problems with although generally most peeps dont. In fact some dont use them because of the above.. If you want to move away from open piles generally you could use a twist towel to dry, and then plush edgless terrys like the edgeless 360 or something?
I use them nowadays specifically for polish removal and I work them reasonably carefully and gently. I can still get like the odd bit of fluff with them but the only time I ever get whiskers all over the paint is when Im using my old battered ones that are gone... Or actually sometimes with detail sprays they can strick as well and pull stuff out...

thanks per, yes their korean fluffy mitt and microfiber pad are good (pad is better for me). Its a solid price as well. I think you will struggle to beat the microfiber madness incredipad if you want the best on the market but in2detailing korean ones are very good.
Thanks, will give them a try. I ordered the Adams wash pad the other day and that is the first pad for me, i like wash mitts with thumb because they fit my hand really well and i can feel what i am doing. But after hearing you talking about the advantages of wash pads i figured why not give them a try :) I guess the microfiber madness will be included in my next order.

Have you tried the Klin Korea twisted pile drying towel?
The 470gsm 16x16 grey ones looks exactly like the ones i bought on ebay 15for like 25£. But i have linting issues with mine. Is the rag eagle edgeless worth the extra money?
yo jim, they may well look like the same ones.. but if you are paying 25 quid for 15 then these are cheaper chinese buffing cloths for sure. gimme the link and ill take a look... linting can be caused by a few different things.. split pile microfiber has lots of delicate fibers strands all standing upright.. if you pull a strand of microfiber its only so strong.. so a lot of times they cloths can leave fibers behind if you are over working them trying to buff hard on product which is harder to remove etc.. you are literally snapping fibers.. linting though most times is cause by contamination while washing... you can also make them more prone to snapping by damaging the microfiber by overheating it (typically during washing or drying)... so lots of things can cause this.. typically as you damage the towel like this is becomes hard stringy and rough.. cheaper cloths are more prone to it.. but even the best quality cloths can deteriate if you dont look after them or use them correctly (not saying your not etc, just generally speaking)..
Ragmaster have a range of microfiber.. Its actually not all more expensive than into detailing. I use the ragmaster creatures because they are cheaper for example. I use the eagles as well as my main buffing cloth because I bought a load of them before they went up in price. I appreciate the eagles have gone up in the UK, I get heat about this virtually every day for peeps. but like I say they have a bigger range and the prices in that range vary down from cheap for some of their towels, and yes up towards the upper end of the market for their best towel. So as a consumer you have to decide.. you wont be disapointed if you buy eagles though. best suggestion is shop around and buy up some samples of single towels for the formats you want and then pick the ones that you like.

These are the ones that dont lint but i saw now I paid 220sek so thats like 20 quid for 4 so thats not cheap more like avrage. Ive bought there glasstowel qd-towel and twisted loop drying and they were complete garbadge. The qdtowels was breaking down after two uses and the twisted closed loop (i think they are) just pulled up. Same with the glasstowels, they couldnt handle the friction the glass generates even with sooft gentle wipes. So im looking to swap all my mf out and searching for the best for each category. Have gyeon bald wipe to try out on ceramic costings and polymer sealents that can be tricky to get off. Also the gyeon suede ones to take linting out of question when wipeing ceramic coatings.
those look like they "should" be half decent. but unless you get them in your hands you never know..
linting is something I always like to see first hand.. so when someone tells me the towel lints I need to see it happening to really comment on why..
like I say if you use split pile microfiber where you have to work it hard, then yes expect fibers to break and come off.. so ideally you are using them gently and they are not resisting and sticking down on the product it should not give up fibers..
sounds like you are using them right.. so perhaps yes give the saverchoice ones a whirl. also maybe try just a high quality edgeless terry if linting is a real issue..
