That’s true, I didn’t even think about the fact that he had time to pack And bring all his belongings before surrendering. I just remember seeing an old news reel of him taking his revolver out it’s holster and handing it to an American officer and it was clearly a S&W.
@6:49. He presented the S&W formally later on (hence why it was filmed). This Walther was the pistol he presented to the Americans he surrendered to in the field.
He actually gave his gold gun to my grandfather whom was his interrogator... so so much more to this story ... promise
Beautiful. When you thought you’d seen them all
This is interesting P08
It originally looks like a World War I "Artillery Luger" but it has grip safety and a handle under the barrel which is pretty unusual
It remained in nice condition anyway
I recently saw some footage of Goering surrendering to American troops and he handed over a Smith & Wesson!! What's the deal with this Walther?

Thank you for pronouncing the name of Mister Luger correctly :)
it's gorgeous !! i want one !
Ancient weapons and hokey religions ain't no match for a good blaster at your side.
Goering surendered a S & W Model 10 upon capture --- Where did this PPK come from ?

AAAAAH! Goering surrendered a S&W .38.

😀😮 Really Cool Luger And That Helmet is Absolutely Incredible The Walther PPK And all its Prominence Would Be Really Cool Too Have 😊 Thanks Joel
The Luger Carbine is my porn gun. I literally had a centerfold of it on my wall. It looks just as good as a Ferarri poster, or Ms. September in a bikini.
It is sweet. The Walther just needed a set of ivory grips to look like the kind of pistol a pimp from a Louisiana whorehouse would carry.
Psiberzerker miss September won’t look as good as that in seventy odd years.
@@philipmorgans2887 Now it's a Pagani Zonda, but yeah. Timeless design lasts longer than the flesh. (Incidentally, try to find a picture of a woman posing next to a Zonda. There's a couple, but honestly, with those curves, you don't really need the bikini model there to show it off.)
Herman goering didn’t have a ppk he had a smith and wesson revolver

@@RockIslandAuctionCompany Surrendered it in the field with the original box? Don't think so. Something very fishy is going on with that box.
@@wapiti3750 It was a PLANNED surrender. He was not captured by surprise. He PLANNED it. So yeah, it makes since that he would be the presentation as good as he could.
I don't recall you guys ever saying WHERE you are located at.
god forbid you ever looked for their website
They are in Rock Island - go figure

Rock Island Auction is located at **gasp** ROCK ISLAND. Who would've guessed?
HG - simply the best.
The credo "Suum cuique" (lat: "To each his own" or "may all get their due") and the eagle is the "Order of the Black Eagle" the highest prussian order of chivalry.
Would your company start making books of the firearms that you sell?
How much does the helmet weigh?
can you borrow me a hundred grand or so for the auction? you'll get it back.. when I use it to buy stuff from you.
Seems fair.
@@RockIslandAuctionCompany excellent! See you at the auction. Lol. In reality, I just bought a 10/22 takedown with the magpul backpacker stock and I feel fancy. The stuff you guys have puts me to shame. Hopefully my leatherwork eventually makes me enough extra money to buy something actually collectible like an svd or something.. or a 1903-a3.
We were all beginners once! We do carry great, less-pristine collectibles in our Regional and Online Only auctions.
it'll be more than $100K.....; i remember some high ranking Nazi's double rifle (might have been Goerings, or HImmler's, etc.) or drilling listing for $67K some 30 years ago...
How did they get from the UK to the US?
Pretty simple $$$$$$$$
DER REICHSMARSCHALS WALTHER PPK. (one of them at least)
If I was rich...but I can day dream
Where is Ian..?
Ian is on Ian's channel. why would you expect him here?
I can only imagine Herr Herrman Goring collection of fire arms, swords, knifes, medals, uniforms, jewelry, train set, vehicles had to be rather substantial considering the pictures that are available on the internet..
Another example was his bullet proof car with an centrifugal supercharger 500HP engine from an aero plane if I'm not mistaken..
Considering the VW only had 25HP one can only imagine goering sitting on an autobahn on ramp waiting for an unexpected VW to go by at a snails pace Herr Goering smashing the loud pedal roaring by the unsuspecting vw at a blistering speed, super charger screaming scaring the shit out of the vw occupants while Herr Goering laughing his fat ass off..
Back to my point - I'm assuming the majority if his stuff was destroyed in the fire, or looted.. Most of his belongings are probably sitting attics, or destroyed after having the brakes beat off them sometime in fifties..
Gun jESUS is slim
He only surrendered a Smith & Wesson revolver which no one can find he might have owned this gun but he did not surrender it
So he was going to surrender Germany to the US president with a plain US made Smith & Wesson revolver? Weird, I wouldn't be surprised if the capturing soldiers selected the better one.
