    They’re never ending, right ?
I take a closer look at the cost of running these services and if I really need them running all at the same time… Especially when I have so many physical movies.
Do you have many streaming subscriptions ? How many do you run at once ?

I think streaming will start moving to yearly subscriptions. If you cancel you can’t sign up for like 6 months. So they really lock you in.

I think you’re right. Now TV already do a similar thing for any promotion they have.
I recently jumped back in with an offer on the entertainment pack. I think it was £5.99 a month but you had to sign up for 6 months.
Probably won’t be long before others try to lock you in for certain price bands.
I pay yearly for Disney+ due to the kids (they’ll always find stuff to watch on there, and there’s plenty for me too) and Amazon… the amazon thing is mainly for the postage, I’ve not been sucked into removing the ads at the few because there’s not enough that I watch on there.

One thing i love about having physical media is i dont have the need or want to have all the streaming services. I alternate between them all every few months. Regarding adverts I think it’s because they have realised that the overall business model doesn’t work in that when people watch a show, that show will not generate more revenue from views since the money comes from a flat rate for everything. It is part of the reason why TV shows, even good ones, are axed after one season besides tax purposes. As a result, for their popular shows to actually make money, they must use advertising. Which, lo and behold is what commercial television has done since its inception.📺
