How can I access the MySQL command line with XAMPP for Windows? - SOLVED

How to connect to MySQL database through windows Command Prompt Console.
Your MySQL binaries should be somewhere under your XAMPP folder. Look for a /bin folder, and you'll find the mysql.exe client around. Let's assume it is in c:\xampp\mysql\bin, then you should fire up a command prompt in this folder.
That means, fire up "cmd", and type: mysql -u root -p -h 127.0.0.1

Please guys you will forgive me for the silly mistake I made in the video.
You don't need to put your password after -p. Only enter the password when you are prompted to do so.
Syntax:: mysql -u root -p -h 120.0.0.1
Then Enter Password.

Hi Oston. I like your video. Not 100% sure however when you create a new database you might use " CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS youtube".
This way if you try to create a new database you will not over write a database that you may have created with the same name already.
You should get an error.
If you had a database called "youtube" and you create a new database called "youtube" the second will delete the first and you will lose your data from the first.

Entering password in the command line is insecure and it might not work and give error message
Enter. Mysql -u root -p. and press enter
Then once password is prompted enter the password
