Parachute Toss

- This is the first time I've done a tutorial so I apologize if it's not that great...I'm working on it!
This video explains how to do the parachute toss. I have no clue how it got its name but thats just what my guard calls it. It's actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it! Good luck! =]

they are called stoppers and marshmellows, It just depends we say both. Don't judge them if they say something different than you. Thanks for reading
Marshmallow... I like that. We just call it the tip of the flag; and the tape part we call it the veil-crow

I'm on my schools flag corps and were doing a flag feature at our next home football game! I added the parachute toss to it, and it's really awesome!!!!! Go flags!!!!!!!! :D
marshmallow/stopper= crutchtip
flag= the whole thing not just the silk
silk= the colored part
middle/tape= tab (tape only applies to sabre/ the bottom third of the blade that blades are thrown from)
hip shoulder angle= slam (left or right)
L hand= money hand
this toss= nothing that i know it by. marquez would simply say during rehearsal "the toss from the ccrutchtip" or something. Ars Nova's "windup" toss we call the pizza toss. we might call it the ferris wheel toss or something.
What different guard call their stuff is so funny. We call that toss a Grandfather
I like marshmallow =D We just say "end cap" -_-

I love the name marshmallow, at my school we just call it the butt for both ends. But that makes it a little awkward for the band when we are practicing with them and someone's "butt" flies off and the guard is running around going "my butt flew off! Has anyone seen it? It's small, white and round!"

haha my coach calls your marshmallow our butts so whenever we practice she tells us to grab our butts haha.....and ive never seen this toss before i only know a helicopter toss, backwards toss( it gets tossed behind our backs and you have to turn around and catch it) and a regular toss... maybe ill teach our guard this for our halftime show we are doing journey songs :)

on my color guard we call it the crutchtip and the tab for were you tape it at .... good toss btw

Why isn't the end cap taped? And how many rotations is the toss itself? the camera doesn't show. And how do you catch, flat with silk to the left?
