It worked out great and people are very friendly. If you go to Acre be warned that it is the heart of Brazil and very few speak English. Hey Tommy, i'm Brazilian and i like very much having experiences with different types of entheogens. I study very much about it as well. There are some things that i like to comment about what you just showed to us, sincerely i don't know how they allowed you to drink alcohol and even offered it to you, because alcohol blocks so much of what an a spiritual experience on entheogens can give to you. In traditional and serious tribes of indigenous people you would have to stay in there a few days, without eating meat, without drinking alcohol and without smoking anything, cleaning out your body, is an physical and spiritual purifying ritual before taking the ayahuasca so your trip can be way better, then you would "connect with the trees and with your ancestors". In these traditional tribes the ceremony occurs in groups and the xaman does all the preparation and application off the rappe and ayahuasca, also the xaman play instruments and sings traditional ayahuasca espiritual songs since the begging to the end of your experience. People that had the experience with the true traditional ayahuasca tribes really achieve the ego death, spiritual life changing experience etc... It's just sad that you expended some money, time, and expectations to have the experience you had, unfortunately many tribes here in Brazil do the ayahuasca ceremony for the money and not with the real purpose of cure and self discovery.
I've been following you about a year by now along with a handful of other RUclips travelers including Simon, Matthew (Ras Kitchen), Kurt Caz. Pretty much comes down to the dose, people like to say that, but it's just really hard to dose Aya when brewed traditionally, two or more different plants with wide ranges of potency two plants harvested right next to each other at the same time can have anywhere from 1-4x the potency, then there's the brew itself, how much water is added and how much you drink, so many variables effecting potency. Extracting and making your own with measured doses of the DMT can consistently produce profound experiences. I get you though, I believe you get what you need when it comes to psychedelics, but if you do methods with measured doses you'll find a lot more consistency.

Why worry? The good thing about Sabbatical is he proves the point that whilst compared to western nations these places may be considered ‘Dangerous’ but in reality people are people the world 🌎 over.
The majority of people are peaceful and don’t want any trouble!
Also Tommy is very smart and deals with problems assertively without escalating the situation.
If you follow certain rules you will be safe the world over!
Perceived danger is always more scary than reality FEAR= False-Evidence-Appearing-Real!

No way! Saw the title & am stoked!! Amazing morning 🤙🏽
Hell yea
This guy truly and genuinely loves to travel and loves the country and the people of Brazil. Excellent video Tom. You are always welcome back to Brazil. Tamo junto! 👍
Awesome episode. Thank you for sharing you travels.
A que increvel episodio!
That floating gas station blew my mind
I’ve been reading and learning that doing ayahuasca with a very experienced shaman and support to guide you through some of the very challenging moments and for protection, is the best way to experience ayahuasca authentically.
Really awesome as usual Tommy!
Somehow your no nonsense approach cuts through the mystique of the cultures you visit....but in doing so, you create a mystique that is "true experience." We can count on you for that.....and for me it's riveting.
Beautiful place, beautiful people. Keep it up brother. Thank you
Loved this and glad you are in Brasil. When you were experiencing Ayahuasca, I thought that "very annoying fucking guy, " was going to show up (yes I know different part of the world) but made me laugh...Looking forward to what comes next. Parabens.
You’ve rapidly moved to the top of my list of videos to watch.
Excellent as always!
so glad you still alive, max
Love the honest account of what happened, enjoyed your video thanks for sharing.
I always think your name is Sebastian because of your channel name
anywho, great content Sebastian!
Man. The set up for that ceremony gave me massive anxiety. Im not surprised it didnt go well. The shaman saying it was fine to have alcohol in your system is crazy.
This is very insane. Tommy, you're a badass risk taking dude. And, your channel rules.
I can't believe I just spent the last two days binge watching from #20
Enjoying all your videos!! Love from Canada. Your new episodes have become a “family watch party” night in our house and we look forward to it. My kid tells everyone she watches “sabbatical on RUclips” lol as her dads from Guyana she loves to watch the Guyana vlogs.
Keep it up!
Met a few really nice Guyanese people in Canada, they made the winter feel a little less cold. Cheers.
I like how your content is more raw, no fancy editing tricks or background music, just filming an experience
my man tom i was born and raised in a place like that... not by "indios" but in a country city ... ! Obrigado por mostrar a verdadeira essencia do brasil!
so many have died. they throw you in the river .
Glad to see you posting again fam! God bless you !
Brazilian women are some of the most beautiful in all the world. Rejoice Señor, the heavens have opened and gifted you with such a presence.
Dude! Your Filmmaking is not fancy, but lovely. Your adventures are amazing to watch. Your way, how you interact with people is respectful and honest.
If you ever decide to come to Austria(lol don´t it sucks), hit me up, and i can show you around,! Stay safe, bro!
Bro I think you are brave or crazy, but probably both!
Thanks for sharing your travels too.
You have a good dose of curiosity in you. I hope you discover many new things in your travels and may you be blessed with a long life.
It's an interesting video, I very much enjoy watching your experiences.
wow! Tommy, really appreciated you sharing your Ayahuasca experience
You need to do it like 2-3 days in a row sometimes to break through
Amazing, as always.
If that parrot were the chief of that village, he would have had your head.
Edit: ok, seems you made an offering and he accepted you.
HAAHAHAHAH
@10:05 Tommy's ball size for tripping and adventure in the damn JUNGLE
I believe one of the only ways to expand your thought process is to go on a spiritual “trip”. Also kinda crazy there’s a gas station on the water in the Amazon
I concur, but a "trip" can be done in comfort of own home or in Peru. Choice. For you, by you.
This is what life is all about living with nature in nature. Truly amazing
Estou conhecendo meu país atraves destes gringos malucos hehehe, nunca fui ao norte do Brasil por ser longe, mas espero ir um dia
☝️☝️look up the handle he ships swiftly he got shrooms, lsd, mdma,Dmt,ayahuasca, chocolate bars, weed, microdosing capsules. 💯reliable source ✅

Thank you for making these videos! It feels almost like I’m there with you
What an incredible content u are doing, was watching u since África. And honestly, ur PT BR are crazy good!!! Love brother.
When your guide girl takes over the camera, actually she takes the video more stable and professionally... 😅
17:50 that has to be one of the prettiest cats I have ever seen. Thanks for getting him/her in the video. Another great vid!
as an African living in America I feel at home watching this 😊
Congrats on the awesome success of your channel! Keep the great content coming my friend. 🙏
Thomas are you alive?!?!?! Haven't seen anything posted in a while
Tommy your channel is therapeutic....
Hilarious thing about medicine is when you ingest looking for colors or profound experiences to find out life in its natural state is the dopest
In my experience both can be dope and harmonious with each other.💫
As a writerI have always found the Amazon Fascinating and Intense! Really enjoying this series my friend! You have the heart of Percy Fawcett my friend! Keep Pushing!
4:19 UFO over girls right shoulder

The breathe , width and vastness of the skies and clouds are amazing!
Hi Tommy. I hope you are ok and not lost somewhere in the Amazon jungles. Please post something short so we know what's happening.
I agree! I’m very concerned about him and don’t have a good feeling about this. It doesn’t seem like his subscribers are paying attention. It seems like they are oblivious to his absence.
Someone needs to sound the Alarm.
He hasn’t posted since his experience with the witch doctors.
He’s fine. He posted on instagram.
I am glad i get to see this, keep doing this Sabbatical!
Hey Tommy! I saw you move the coconut on the plantation. They do this to allow them to germinate and take root a bit. Then they are planted. Moving them can mean slowing them down or not spreading at all. I have my own farm in Nicaragua, so that's why I know! Have a safe trip and safe sailing!
It wasn’t a coconut, it was a pod of Brazil nuts.
Tommy da explorerer
Thanks man for the amazing work you do.
Bless up bro.
Watching from Sydney Australia
Big up
Hey, guys! Hi, Tom! Glad to hear you're alive and kicking, as you posted on your Instagram account. Have a nice trip to nordeste!
I was wondering what happened to him. He basically went ghost.
@@tamera6842 Yes, Tom is probably feeling like he's a very beloved guy, with many people here worried about what has happened to him. It seems he just needed a few time to recharge the batteries, take a break and get ready for the great adventures coming up next.
I'm happy to hear that too
How can we find him on instagram.
Until We see for ourselves, I’ll consider him missing in action and I hope anyone who knows him personally will let his subscribers know what happened to him.
❤ ur fascinating videos ! I watch everyone! Best of all travel videos I have seen and I watch a lot of them ! I also admire your ability to learn basic - conversational languages in various parts of the World you have been to! YOU ARE AN AMAZING AMERICAN!!!
With your accent, it's like watching Carl Sagan in the wild 👍
Loving your content Tommy…🔥🔥🔥👊🏻🇿🇦
I pray for your safety bro. I pray you find a peace of mind.
Being out in the rain forest seems like it would be soul changing in itself . Nature's peacefulness is awesome.
Don't feel bad you didn't get the experience you were hoping for the first time though, man. Ayahuasca doesn't always give you the "trip" you are looking for (depending on DMT content, other substances you might have in your system, and your expectations). Also, alcohol does lower the effects.
You definitely need to try it again.
Or you could just get some crystallized DMT and smoke a few hits; then you DEFINITELY will get the experience you're looking for haha.
I hope you continue your journey with it.
Good luck, friend. 💚
P.S. - It is very possible that resort gives people low doses. Which now that I think about it, that is probably the case with your experience.
@@JustinVenture- they cutting the product to rip tourists off 😂🤙🏽🤘🏽
17:51 What a beautiful cat! The first time in my life I saw a cat with blue eyes!
Woaaah can’t believe I missed this. I’ve never tried ayahuasca but I have many friends describe it to me, gonna do a series of podcasts where I ask a friend more about . It sounds like you might have gotten the tourist dose 😆 I hope I can try it one day but only in the right environment and headspace.
Naw man you’re not an idiot. These videos you post are great because you get to see day to day inside countries and how they are outside of tourism. It’s amazing because you shed light and a positive image on these cultures and give people like me the opportunity to see it for ourselves. I deployed to Iraq in 2008 I had my own mentality painted by the news here and thought one thing but in reality I was humbled by the people and seen so much good in their culture it’s different interesting and amazing.
DMT is a good way of achieving as well and the trip last fifteen minutes.
Hi Tommy i love all your work. You are so humble, cool and love beer you are Irish. I hope all your fans will please support miss Josey as well she is our African sister.
Peace and love from Brian in Ireland.
