When you get abused as a child like the girl with the box you have to have something that you hold onto like music in her case when she opened the box KORN is in there and in the video when Korn starts playing notice the they keep looking up towards her and ultimately show up in her room to block the Dad out so she escapes through the window and then their light flys out of her window and back in the box and she runs off. Symbolic for her saving grace like the music she holds onto to help her in a life of chaos.
My take on "Whats in the box"...is that thing you hide away from people who are abusive. The thing you tell yourself theyll never take away from you. Something to get you through the pain.
Yeah Korn is awesome plus love the hair that’s very Korn🤘but pretty much about being beaten and destroyed bu the ones that are supposed to love you it’s very dark in the end you escape and run away
The music industry is cookie cut. Music now is about entertainment and a pretty face. Cut to the mold and pushed out for money. This is the rise of nu metal. From a time where experimentation and artists were at the top. This video is about the artists message. Modern music and videos are, "Look at my money!"
Most of korn songs are about abuses you see the lead singer here his name is Johnathan Davis he was sexualy abused as a young kid and that is what most of his music is about all types of abuse. He spreads awareness of of this type of stuff, and for the time this band came out was crazy because nobody talked about this kind of thing do to they think ppl look down on them or whatever. So yeah many people coped by listening to korn to help them.
If this a sarcastic request that is funny. If you are actually serious I doubt there is actually anyone on RUclips other than maybe some of the vocalists etc... that could even fathom classical music. Shoot most people if you have not started singing 5 seconds into the song they are complaining. If the song is over 2 minutes that is too long. It would be cool to see someone do it though.
@@kennethbartlett4302 Of course I am serious!! The coda of that piece goes harder than any rock/metal song he reacted to so far! I get what you mean and in real life I hardly ever let anyone listen to those pieces, but on youtube reactors tend to "appreciate", at least fakely, everything so why not give it a shot. I've seen people react to Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd, just cause it's pink floyd, and if they can react to half an hour of confused screaming and mixtapes, they can do 10 minutes of beautiful piano music. I don't really believe he will take up the request, but it cost nothing to try
@@fedegwagwa You have a point there. I went to a symphony to see them perform Beethovens Violin Concerto in D I think it was, anyway the soloist that night was crazy good I could hear him stomping his foot at times he was so intense. I have been to over 150 metal shows and you are correct some Classical music does go hard,
@@kennethbartlett4302 I know because I used to be a metal-head too before falling in love with classical, and I assure you I had NO idea so many pieces go so hard, it's all just a matter of lack of exposure. I thought I knew the feeling of "anger" in music, until I heard the coda to Chopin's ballade n.2, or Mendelssohn's final string quartet. There's simply so much variety in the genre, it's potentially an endless discovery
@@fedegwagwa If you see this and are not familiar with it go listen to the track April by Deep Purple the first maybe 10 min is a classical style piece written by Jon Lord and performed with an orchestra it is really cool. I am going to check this piece by Chopin you talked about. I am not completely familiar with his stuff I have only went down the rabbit hole with Bach, Beethoven and Debussy.

This song had a lot of meaning that I related to back in the day, this was that healthy role model shit.
@@ev1lsm1th Same here.
Got the life is my favorite Korn track. Lead singer comes from an abusive past and music has been an outlet.
Great band and song!
I loved Korn since they came out in the mid 90’s and loved this song because I could relate because of my history with my abusive father
Same here.
Going to see Korn in Sept, ☮️💜🤘🔥
Seeing them in October! First time seeing them live I can’t wait!!

Check out Nothing,Nowhere and the videos Pretend and Hopes Up
Plenty of artists still do, you just have to search for it more because the mainstream pushes trash

He was abused as a kid. Reflecting his experience
Korn "Daddy"
I love Korn, Daddy is difficult to listen to, intense.
