Hi. Thanks a lot for your tutorials. Been at Ilustrator for years and I always get quite a few gems from your videos. For a more precise and easier alignment of the circles, I used the Distribute Horizontal Space in the Align control panel. For the shadows, I used the black bits created with the Shape Builder Tool and then set out with your technique. This way I do not get to align the shadows manually.
To make it math perfect start from aligning circles with help of equilateral triangle, and than tweak their size with object-> transform->transform each.
Awesome! Honestly, the knowledge and technique of designing you logo as geometrical way with Circle shape is really very nice, impeccable and incomparable. I have humble respect and heartiest love to you. Thanks a lot and best regards.
So, I worked it out. Once you "expand appearance" of the shadow circle, then you need to choose the whole design and "expand" it. Now you are able to use the shape builder tool.
That's a good point, I can see how that can save time. I just wanted to be very precise with the shadow but it took quite long to create it with my method.
Hey it was helpful but I am not able to get how you got two strokes one on the inside and the other on outside I tried the way u did and it didn't work for me! What should I do?
very interesting & usefull tutorial. Thanks

Much appreciated guys! ~ ~,
How would you do the shading using the gradient tool? It would be nice to get that 3D effect.
Thank you
Nice tutorial, but why if I try to delete part of shadow circle using a shape builder tool, I remove all circle, not a part of it? What do I wrong?
the same is happening to me too!!
