- I kinda slept on this one for a while, but here it is! My ultimate White Diamond prediction for Steven Universe Future! Complete with way too much editing! Let me know what you all think of my ideas and feel free to throw in some of your own!

@@alexiusandrianno7684 the comment mentioning she didn't sing that part was added as a favourite by the uploader, and there was no such reply from the author correcting the mistake in the way you mentioned. i'm assuming it was alter viktoko art? however, there are other individuals besides the uploader with their own theories.
edit: nevermind, i watched a variation that didn't contain the comment clarifying that. the one i watched had both spinel and white singing.

What I want to see is the worm being a member of an endangered alien race that was nearly wiped out by the Gem Empire colonizing their home planet. The season should be about the Diamonds facing the consequences of the horrors they wrought on the universe. If the showrunners want to be cheeky about it they can even call one of the episodes "White's Guilt".

My personal favourite detail is that white didn't accept spinel as a replacement for pink, because it's true.
If you listen to "just let us adore you" on RUclips, there is a white only version.
In that version, she stops singing after "today, right here, right now"

Plot twist: The world of Steven Universe was actually a miniverse like in Rick and Morty. Everything the Diamonds did was to produce energy for the person who made them. Now that they have 'stopped' their creator is going to do some 'manual fixing.'

I just hope the Crewniverse has the budget to pull anything off. The diamonds are one of their most expensive recurring characters and I dont see them downgrading the animation significantly to have them in the show.

it happened with sugilite, which is why she never really has voice lines. her voice actor nikki minaj is really expensive to have on the show

Expanding on this idea, I can picture Steven breaking through to White's true self, giving her this inspiring speech, telling her that even she and the other Diamonds can truly change, something they've proven all these years. White manages to break the Alaskan Bull Worm's mind control and holds Steven in her hands, smiling at him and thanking him.
Then, the Alaskan Bull Worm angrily fires an attack at her and Steven opens his eyes to see thousands of tiny white shards raining down from White's forehead...

Well, the diamonds make the other gems and the other diamonds are a reflection of White so Wormy would have only made white diamond.
It did seem white created the other diamonds due to seeing them as flaws she repressed and felt were needed to be removed
@Zachary Khan I can see that actually because by mixing the personalities of a combination of the 4 diamonds or probably just the other 3 can make gems with different flaws which reflect what flaws white had when she had yellow blue and pink as part of herself question now is if they fused what would happen

It was legitimately infuriating to me that White was portrayed as so Immensely disingenuine and Fake in the movie,
The end of Change your mind was *HUGE* for her, Literally, her entire world view was Shattered into microscopic pieces,
Leaving White Diamond perfectly in the prime position to change her ways, and entire worldview,
If I had truly thought about Change your mind and the Diamonds and possible redemption before seeing the movie,
I honestly would've thought White was more likely to become _Truly_ reformed then Blue OR Yellow,
As the only reason they broke was because of realizing how they hurt Pink and how White Hurt them,
Leaving them merely in a prime position to change for Steven's sake alone.
But this, This idea fits perfectly and allows all the potential a character in White Diamond's position has to be utilized.
I had never even really put it together how White Diamond, at the end of CYM, Really was exactly as you said,
Scared, Confused, but trying her best, while also trying her best to not fall apart.
Long Story short. This is absolutely Genius.
I got a theory:
Ok what if she was faking be redeemed. She just playing along and jasper starts a rebellion, (with the new gems we see) jasper wants to over rule Steven. White diamond see jasper rebellion and helps her out. White diamond gets so mad that she corrupt Steven and Steven becomes the worm. So yeah that what I hope happens :3.

I would add that Steven is having his emotional crisis too, like, in the middle of this new rebellion, anything could happen, let's take the example of that he become more that friends with Connie (cuz I like the idea) and for some reason they've broke up, and his powers aren't working right (Cactus Steven monster) and he has to kill his own creation, he is devastated and he starts hating on everyone, he becomes the opposite of what he was, he even fights the Crystal Gems, and in order to bring him back, they remind him of what he has achieved and accomplished. Maybe it works, maybe it don't. I could get to write a FanFic about this idea lol

I think it's just for the sake of visual clarity, so that you can see all the other gems alongside her without her dominating the screen.

White was definitely the character I liked least out of this show's cast, but hearing you talk about her makes me hope that they can do more with her :)

I like it. I like the idea of delving into White's psyche into a conflict of interests. And according to The Round Table, White and the other Diamonds weren't redeemed. That's the thing. People assume that the show redeemed the Diamonds, and people hate that sudden redemption. For starters, they weren't redeemed, just set on a path that can lead to redemption. And for the haters, the bar for redemption isn't as high as you may think.
The fact of the matter is that the Diamonds never colonized planets with intelligent life. Or if they have, they didn't realize it. Think about it. Why would Blue Diamond take Greg to the human zoo? Why did Pink change when she visited earth (including faking her own death and later mating with a human)? Why did the Crystal Gems choose to rebel? Why did Peridot defend earth to the point of betraying her own Diamond? Why did Lapis choose to stay on earth (or at least didn't have the heart to stay away)? Why is it only on earth that this happens, and it never happened on other planets (in other words, why is it unprecedented)? What does earth have that other planets don't?
@@n0ttomuch65 If Round Table was incorrect, then at what point were they redeemed? And keep in mind that there's a difference between "redeemed" and "reformed". And also keep in mind that the Diamonds shattering Gems was focused on the Gem war, and the reason they wanted to destroy all Gems on earth was because they believed that they shattered Pink Diamond.
And it doesn't matter how far across the line you go. Because there is no line if they were never given the chance to realize there's a different way. There's a reason why it's called "Change Your Mind". It's not because it's a colloquialism, it's because there is legitimately a change in the Diamonds' mindset.
And at what point was Pink blamed for being abused by the other diamonds? Never, that's when.
@@n0ttomuch65 But if you pay attention, not much has actually changed about their characters. Or to be more accurate, the only change was Steven's (or rather, Pink Diamond's) presence.
Yellow - A villain showing emotion doesn't make them redeemed. It's already been established earlier on that Blue and Yellow care for each other. Though I will say that Yellow shows the most change in my opinion.
Blue - What you don't seem to notice is that nothing actually changed about her character other than that realization.
White - You're just wrong. All White did was fix a problem that she caused.
What you don't understand is that redemption isn't like flipping a switch. It's a gradual process. Change Your Mind didn't redeem the diamonds, it just showed that they could be redeemed and set them on that path. Also, they weren't redeemed in the movie. They were only doing what they were doing because Steven was telling them to. It shows that they're willing to try. But without Steven/Pink Diamond there to keep them in line, would they have even done anything to change? At the very least, the movie demonstrated that White is still a work in progress. I'd be willing to agree that Blue and Yellow were fully by the movie.
Using Hitler and Stalin for examples is a False Equivalence fallacy. They knew that there were other ways to rule, but chose their specific styles. But a Gem's gem is basically a computer. Gems are formed knowing exactly what they're function is. What they are is preprogrammed. They can't truly be responsible for their choices because they weren't the ones to make them.
And what I meant by that phrase was basically that you can't be held responsible for the choices you've made if you never knew there were other choices. Once the Diamonds saw that there was another choice to make, they chose to change their ways.
Also, we don't know how much suffering the Diamonds caused, other than to their own kind. And most of that was because of a war caused by the "shattering" of Pink Diamond.
Also, keep in mind that there's a difference between reformed and redeemed. Reforming is about change. Redemption is about forgiveness. And not once did Steven actually forgive them for their actions. (And I know a thing or two about posting long replies, so I understand.)
One thing I noticed. So the thing is, further elaborating that she didn't like spinel as much as blue and yellow, at the end of the Let us Adore You's Reprise, she doesn't sing the last line "we'll love again, we've already found someone." (I found this out listening to each diamonds solo of that song)

I think your theory ties in well with Steven's latest crisis over how his friends don't need him anymore. There is ONE person who still desperately needs him - White. So confronting their relationship may be where Steven's own arc is leading up to.
I hope the creator sees this; I forgot this was a theory video, The actual thought of it as a real thing was when you/they talked about “Change Your Mind” and ended when said “I really wished they did this/that.” I really enjoyed listening to your “I hope/wished this happened” ‘s. Idk anymore my entire train of thought left.

I think a multi-planet genocidal dictator like white is pretty hard to redeem even with multiple seasons of a show.
My idea goes a lot like yours.
Everything up to her searching for the creator is very similar, but istead of trying to find a new inspiration her mind just breaks. All the stress of everything that she ever knew being wrong and then forcing herself to be something she's not... it was too much.
That much would be great, but I'm not sure about what comes after that.
Maybe she, in her broken state, thinks that if she was never perfect she has to become perfect. And maybe to do that she wants to fuse with the cluster, which has been just sitting there doing nothing exept armwrestle the diamonds once.
Maybe something else, but I don't think it makes sense to just redeem someone as horrible as her but it does make sense, that her mind would break after such a lifechanging realization.
Well, I can say with certainty that your video is thought out and very well done, but it does have a few mistakes, one of which is that when white said "Spinel, I...." she couldn't have said "...don't think that's a good idea" because it was before anyone mentioned of Spinel coming to the palace.
