- Portland (2023) is the largest city in Oregon, United States of America (USA). Portland is also the seat of Multnomah County and has also an airport in the Willamette Valley. The city is built on the shores of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Portland has 655,000 citizens and its metropolitan area around 3,2 million. Some of the highlights are Mount Hood, Pittock Mansion, St. Johns Bridge, Oregon Convention Center, Union Station, U.S. Bancorp Tower, Pioneer Courthouse Square and Tilikum Crossing.

The city isn’t perfect but it’s still my favorite city in the whole world, the city I want to call home.
Unfortunately many of the big US cities have gone downhill since 2020. It is depressing. I hope they can all make a full comeback at some point.

Lol everyone criticizing portland clearly don't have much perspective. Maybe portland was immune from the problems that plague most US cities until recently but looking up the crime and homeless stats its really are not that bad compared to other cities. Maybe the homeless is more obvious in Portland then other cities. But as someone whose traveled all over the US and been to portland many times, it's really not that bad. People of a particular political demographic love to obsess over portland, most of them critique it without having ever been there. I'm fine with portland reputation being exaggerated, it keeps people away. So those who actually know the truth about the beauty of portland and the surrounding area can have it to themselves

I was fortunate to have visited Portland back in July of 1985, while I was in the Navy!
My ship then was the USS Dubuque and we sailed up from the Pacific ocean up the Columbia river. And docked right there in downtown, It was a great place, very clean city.

This is gorgeous!! I miss my trips to Portland. I was here often (from Seattle) 2000 - 2010 for work. I really enjoy seeing it from the Drone view. Nice video!

I could see two of my old apartments from when I lived downtown. A Texas transplant, I love Portland, my home.
What a fantastic well done video. It captures Portland so well at different times of the day and night. I really was very impressed with this video. I know Portland can look very differently from ground level, but this video lets us see Portland without all its problems. I think we all need that.
I live in Portland and it is still a great city. Unfortunately many big cities in the country took a massive hit these last couple of years. I worry they are never going to fully recover. I drive my semi to Seattle as well as all over California and the same problems are in all of those cities. LA looks terrible right now as well.

4 distinct seasons and relatively mild. It rains a lot, but almost never a heavy downpour. That being said, rain is rare in the summer and snow is rare in the winter. It's actually mild enough that you see the occasional small palm tree around town.

I’ve lived in Portland since 1970, it use to be the best city ..and from the drone video it still looks like it is, but from the streets all you see are homeless camps and garbage. The crime is terrible too. It’s my home town but it’s a terrible city now.
Sadly it sounds like almost every other major American city.... I looked up the crime rate and it's not that bad compared to other cities. Which is saying something.
The economic and moral decay of the United States is happening everywhere unfortunately

What a beautiful city...that is no more. What this very nice video is not showing you. Is the Meth & Heroin addicts that roam the streets. The daily car break-ins... The indifference of minds that move into this city from abroad, now with hate, anger and constant protests and riots. What a beautiful city this once was... maybe in the not so distant future, a miracle can happen... maybe.

Lived there for 25 years. Just left in February. Lived downtown in the Alphabet district. Near Providence Park.
Stop being such a drama queen! Constant protests and riots? I work in Portland and live in its suburbs, even in the height of protests and riots 2 YEARS ago, it was only in 2 blocks of downtown.
