40khz all the way for jewelry. Don't waste your time with multi frequency!! Me and all my buddies have thousands of hours on the Legend....we all use single frequency!!!!!

You're missing a lot of stuff if you're hunting in single frequency and good stable areas. What's the point of owning a multi frequency detector if you're not going to use it
