I adore how he even gets the "sloppy" playing style (which I absolutely adore) of Jimmy. An amazing guitarist and an amazing work.
Even down to fiddling with the volume control on his guitar.
Years ago I read that his much observed ‘sloppy’ style was his off hand way to keep others from copying his licks. Well I guess folks could try to ‘be Jimmy Page’ but I haven’t seen anyone do it. There’s no other guitarist who can do what Page does. I’ve been listening hard to Led Zeppelin since high school (graduated in ‘68 so it’s a life time of hearing these four guys rock my fucking world). There’s no group that’s better, these men are rock gods and I’ll worship at their feet until my end which unfortunately is now in view. When I lay dying, my best friend will substitute for my late husband and keep headphones on me with my most honored music choices playing for me. Led Zeppelin is at the top of the list along with Pink Floyd, Rush, YES, early Genesis. Anybody got any great groups or albums that maybe I’ve forgotten about? Thanks!

Those "Artifacts" or sloppy playing as people call it, 'fill in the sound', make it bigger and create "The Swagger".. Keith Richards Rolling Stones was also a master of it, playing so far behind the beat that nobody can copy it.. Theres a guy on YT who plays a Page Solo from TSRTS with Such Razor Precision ( Sharper than the Original) but as such, lacks those incidental grace notes or artifacts and therefore doesn't have the rich 'texture' or Swagger of the original. It sounds thin and lacks Vibe...... Its a bit like how 8 First Violins in an Orchestra all play slightly 'out of tune' and also 'out of time' and it sounds huge. If they were to play EXACTLY the same frequency at the SAME time it would merely sound like one loud violin and thin. Jimmy Page was a "Textural Guitarist"

@@thekitowl well, obviously no one will ever play JP like JP himself. What i meant is that his playing was so good, that if i had my eyes closed i would have easily believed that this was Page playing, because he is playing just like Page would. The notes, the timing, the scales, the melody, even little details like Pages notorious "sloppy" hand and missed timing/notes here and there. In other words: all the elements that makes JPs playing so unique are not only present here, but delivered with absolute accuracy. No wonder Page himself has a LOT of respect for Mr. Jimmy and even praises him a lot. And when i say he outdid both himself and the man himself, i was joking about the fact that Pages live performances are usually not very good lol. So yeah, he managed to squeeze every bit of Page that any guitar player could ever wish to squeeze, plus the fact that he did it at a live show just makes this that much better. Thats a 10 out of 10 to me, even after many decades listeling to JP...

Stunning recreation of Page's tone here, and playing of course! But the drums...in many ways, harder to get right, especially the sound/tone of the drums themselves, so hat's off to Mr. Kurikawa!

Because of conflict with the lead singer David "Poppy' Montgomery, who was an arrogant, narcissistic, egotistical, belligerent, hothead that drank too much, and (I'm guessing that) Jimmy Sakurai couldn't take it anymore, and decided to quit.
And he was better than that band was...

@@jimmygubbins There's a "Squeaky" Bass Drum Pedal on this on Led Zep 3 at the start of the track. It quite high frequency (like a bird tweeting) If your upper hearing is a bit shot or your HiFi is not that revealing of upper detail, you might miss it... but its there. They needed a can of WD 40 lol

I really prefer Mr Jimmy with his own band to JBLZE. Just sayin'. There's a artistic flow to Mr Jimmy's band that JBLZE doesn't have.
This is so damn good its truly sick but I sure wish we had this quality of video of the real Zep and Page playing. The camera man sucked back in the day and the video did to. Such a shame in my opinion.

This is a good blast for those who could never see the real thing.. And what they are doing is incredibly difficult.. Sure , its not "creative" like an original band, but then again neither is a Symphony Orchestra playing Mozart Covers.. On a Technical /Musicianship level though , these guys are playing at the highest level.. Yes! Up at the level of Concert Pianists and Fine Jazz Players..
