    Great video, but one thing i think you should mention is when your flipping upside down and starting a new line you should mention if it goes in the front or the back loops or both. Mine turned out horrible cause you never mentioned that in video lol

    Helpful instructions on skipping the first hole when starting a new row.. simple but will make a difference on my projects. I must try this herringbone stitch. Do I have to use double yarn?

    I made this to the inches indicated (did not stretch when I measured) and it is WAy Too big! I have a pretty average head so I’m not sure where I went wrong. And I supposed to stretch the yarn when measuring the 21 inches?

    • @mjsoffthehook
      @mjsoffthehook  7 месяцев назад

      Im not sure what size you made but The headband should only measure 19" in length for adult size (fits 21.5"-22.5" head size) or it should measure 20" in length for large adult size (fits 23"+ head size). I go off of standard American sizing.

    I purchased your pattern because I LOVE the look, but noticed there is no written paragraph explaining your Herringbone double crochet stitch. I usually watch the special stitch video several times but then like to refer back to the written paragraph in a pattern explaining the special stitch. I need this as I am fairly new to crocheting.

      boxersnbulliesforme YO (yarn over) go through indicated stitch, pull up a loop (don’t YO) pull through first loop on hook, YO pull through 1 loop, YO pull through last 2 loops

      @@greer_z Yes that's correct! The 2 ball kits include 2 balls of Bliss and 1 ball drizzle (that will make 2 headbands)

    I’m an adult but my head is small enough to wear it. Can I make one for myself? Or would you prefer people make this only for kids? I know it’s a paid pattern so I wanted to ask first.

    • @cheryljjohnson8044
      @cheryljjohnson8044 4 года назад +2

      Kandii Starr click on the little arrow. It tells you that the pdf has all size changes even for adults

      @kandiistarr4325 4 года назад

      Cheryl Johnson That’s not my question though. My head fits a child size. I was wondering if I could make one for myself or if she would prefer this pattern only be used for children. Since I’m sure it’s a paid pattern.

    Im sad. These are so beautiful but the back if my head is so flat that it doesn't hold head bands and ear warmers in place no matter how i place it. Even under my hair. It just shoots right up.

    • @mjsoffthehook
      @mjsoffthehook  4 года назад

      You might like the herringbone toque instead, or try wearing the band under your hair to hold it :) ruclips.net/video/bX9sXfEhU3k/видео.html
