Look up precision transmission if you want a mechanic's experience on how an automatic transmission works. They pull them apart in minutes and will explain what does what, why it failed, what the manufacturers did differently in later models to fix issues, what they didn't, and many more in depth but easy to understand explainations. By the time you're done watching a few of their videos you'll feel like you could rebuild a transmission yourself.
Ronald, beat me to it. They really will let the average person know just what goes into an automatic transmission, transfer case or even a differential. Every time I drive my 10 speed auto now, I am thinking about all the parts I am wearing. :-)

Hi , thanks so much for the video , I have a question and hope to get an answer regarding my transmission (2014 cla 250) .the question is about the transmission oil , is the transmission oil shared with the transmission electronic part oil ? My transmission is bad and want to replace it with a used one , I’m wondering if I have to buy the electronic part separately or no , note that no lights at all in my dashboard . Thank you!

I have never understood the problem with aggressive driving and burnouts. Once the clutchpacks engage (which they do in parts of a second) the torque converter takes all the beating at low rpm and its should be no different than a manual transmission once lock up is engaged.
Because when you're trying to do a burnout you can slip the clutches instead of the wheels. The whole time you are doing a burnout you are stressing the entire drive line and the easiest to slip item is what goes first. so if you have large tyres and a weak/old gearbox you will slip the clutch packs instead and burn them out.

Do some research into stall tests.

Sir I had a problem with my tata nano AMT (gnex) by mistake the reverse gear got stuck n I took it to tata authorized workshop but the technical just switched on for 5 seconds lights seen on dashboard n told me he will diagnose n scan but he kept the vehicle5 mts away from workshop then after 20 days moved pushing inside the workshop but as I read the manual it is clearly written that auto car should nt be pushed as Catalitic convertor gets damaged n in course of time other components but I was shocked when the technical consultant phone me my nano AC has become faulty so I asked him that when you inserted key the dashboard was showing lights on the cluster Sir what is your opinion on this subject ?Should I file a suit against the workshop technician. ?
