You are the ONLY you tuber that has been this transparent with how you tube money works. Everyone else just skims the topic. I appreciate your transparency!!! And I am soo happy for you. I believe this is only the beginning for you and your family!
It's refreshing, instead of watching someone do an expensive clothing haul, etc, I feel like your videos help the people who work hard for money and need to get the absolute most out of their money. Maybe people have health issues, etc. And I think you're helping people feel not alone, and that it's smart and easy to get the most out of your hard earned money, and hopefully save :)
I totally agree Candle Duck, I would much rather watch a video on how I can save money on food rather than "oh look at all these expensive clothes I bought" if that's your thing that's fine but I've never in my whole life been one to follow fashion trends and who in the world has the money to change their wardrobe every single season for years!!!! I wear what I like and what is comfortable lol! Now how to save money when you're on a strict budget that's my language 😂
Oh girlie...this video has been mentioned frequently on the frugal pages and the Dave Ramsey pages on Facebook. Maybe that helped with your views? That's how I found you. 😁
@Randi Johnson, several RUclipsrs I watch have done this type of video. I find it very interesting. Jen Chapin has several videos. Her channel is awesome as well. I believe she has done a collab(s) w/ Christine in the past. Both awesome ladies!!
the channel “Jessica Kent” she did this recently with her most popular video but she makes videos of what prison life was like and her struggle with drug addiction.
All I can say is keep those extreme meal videos coming because that's how I found you and I think you're just fabulous.you seem like a great wealth of knowledge when it comes to putting family meals together at an affordable price so why not keep going.
I really enjoy your posts. I think it is evident that you try to make them fun and give lots of information about how something is working for you and your family. That said, it is I believe a lot of work to post all the time and you have a family, husband, work and personal care to deal with. Thanks for sharing. I am not in anyway similar, except I live in the Southwest, and I first looked at a video for some meal planning info. I was looking at some meal prep videos. We all like things that save time, are economical, and taste and look good. Your transparency about this million views is respected. Good luck. I hope you have more! And your subscribers keeps on growing.
Yeah, it suddenly appeared in my feed, but found it was very informative and subscribed. Have only following for about a week but have been checking all your old ones.
I was hooked when I saw the bread 🍞 recipe. I was like “whaaaaat?” I had to try it and girl I’m so thankful I did. I was so excited about it I’ve told everyone I know even posting the results on my IG and FB accounts. Just that alone was a game changer for me and I’ll be forever grateful that you posted it. I subscribed needless to say, So congrats! 🎊🎉🍾
Super Moosie absolutely. The dough will be sticky so don’t freak out just turn it out onto a floured surface and let rest while your heating your oven and dishes. I flip it out onto parchment paper so I can lift it easily and set it directly into the pan. So far I’ve made 6 loaves of bread in the past 2 weeks ALL of them turned out perfect and my family loved them. I reckon they cost about 50 cents a loaf. I’ve been branched out to whole wheat flour loaves and I’m making my first sourdough starter. This bread recipe has been around for about 12 years but I’d never heard of it until this video. So grateful she posted it. The bread is very close to Whole Foods quality artisan country loaves, which I will never have to buy again! 🙏🏻
Shelley Anders Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me with some great tips. ❤️ Yeah, I saw her in-depth video regarding it. That’s how I got hooked on trying it. Have never baked a bread in my life, but it looked SO yummy and SO easy that I thought even a noob like myself might be able to make it work. Haha. My biggest problem now is to find something to bake it in. Seems like that dutch oven thing is the best one to try, for properly baking it. I’ll see what I can find around the house. Haha. Once again, a big thank you. Wish me luck. 😬🤞
Super Moosie you’re welcome and gonna do great! I use a large Dutch oven but I’ve also used a covered large sauce pan, a Pyrex bowl with a lid etc..basically anything with a lid that’s oven safe will work. Just make sure to have space for the bread to rise. It’s not a super huge loaf so that helps! I bake mine 30 mins covered and 10-15 without lid. Let me know how you do :)
Congratulations on 1 million views! Thank you, for being open about the revenue. I hope you get another 1 million video. Love all the info and recipes you share.
I'm a recent subscriber! I appreciate that you took the time to break this down, it's informative for a viewer base that loves numbers and analysis. Budgeting ahoy!
Thanks for sharing! Your million views video is the first one of yours I saw. I became a subscriber, have watched more of your videos, and find them very helpful and relevant. You deserve the good results from your channel. I hope it continues. I appreciate knowing ways I can help the youtubers I watch. Since I’m getting the content for free, I’m always happy to help content creators benefit from their hard work. Thanks!
I just love how authentic and genuine you are! I follow many frugal families on you tube and your channel (by far) has motivated me to be more “frugal” than any other. Congratulations on the million views! 🙌🏼🖤
Thank you for your transparency. I subscribed to you a few weeks ago. Maybe I’m part of the statistic of that 27k new subscribers. I’ll keep watching you.
Congratulations! I am not a bit surprised that it was that video that got that many views. I think alot of what helps you pull in subscribers is being real and down to earth...and being hilarious helps too😉
That’s so awesome Christine! I actually watched the video that got you 1M views. RUclips recommended it to me & that’s how I learned about your channel. I subscribed & has been binge watching your videos!
I copied your video on Dave Ramsey’s Budgeting meals and groceries group on Facebook. I hoped that helped with your views. It’s a like minded group. Congratulations on your success!
I was watching you while I was in China during the lockdown due to the Coronavirus (I'm back in the US now) and I noticed how wonderfully filling and easy your recipes were and how you planned everything for the week (more or less) for your family. I'm a single mother of a two year old and the packaged food like in the groceries are a bit more difficult to come around in my area so everything has to be fresh but I be too tired by the end of the day. So watching your videos helped me to open my eyes a bit more about food prep on either a Saturday or Sunday for the week. I subscribed after watching a few videos where you put the funny 'friends' clips lol I couldn't even stop and woke my baby up after laughing so hard from the living room. So many thanks!
I’m so happy for you , you deserve this . You have helped so many people with your channel I’m sure . You advice and ideas will be really valuable to many. You are an angel x
I’m so happy for you Christine! I love your video’s, both the content and your personality. Thank you for all you do! The $$ you made for that vid is well deserved!
Your estimated revenue is what I make in 9 months. I literally wanted to cry seeing that. Congratulations on your success! You and your family must be so proud! Don't forget to treat yourself and your family as a reward for all of your hard work!💕
Don't you think its unfair a iddle class mom can make 10k pretending to "struggle" like a real poor person? I hope this money was donated to real struggling people.
@@thethrivingmom1745 I admit I'm getting tired of your whining. Set up your own channel showing what a "REAL" poor person does to save money, then I'll respect you more. If you have your own ways to lower your food budget, then share. Otherwise, stop moaning.
Congrats ! This might surprise you but I am not surprised. You put out great content .I like that you are sincere and real. You are not trying to impress like so many other RUclipsrs.
You only need grey walls and a pop of colour, and speak in a, nasal, irritating voice, about nothing for the first five minutes of everything you do, and you would fit right in! Oh, and say "hi guys", and " you guys" as many times in a sentence as can grammatically fit. Do not edit. Do not pre write. Do not practice or rehearse. Do not check on whether your words actually mean what you intend them to mean. Do not check on correct pronunciation. Drag out ten seconds of content into ten minutes of waffle, and you'll be set! This advice is general only, and has nothing to do with frugal fit mom. I had not watched her before and started scrolling the comments early on...
You deserve it! I have been watching your videos for a very long time and have always enjoyed your channel and I know you put in alot of time and energy.
Yep I was introduced to ur channel because if that very video and I’m so thankful for that! You’ve shown me and so many others the way! Love your Christine and keep these videos coming!! There’s so many more people who need your content and much more success ahead for you in 2020! 😍
I love how honest you are. No other youtuber would ever post what they make, but you are so open with your subscribers. Thank you for explaining how youtube works. Much success to you Christine!!!
Congratulations! I found this video and you through The Dave Ramsey Baby Steps Community Facebook group. It was shared 4 times over several days...with 335k members, I would say that gave the video a big boost. I love your creativity and resourcefulness in this video. I'm sure it helped a lot of people.
Elizabeth Marcus I recommended it to a lady a day or two ago in that same Ramsey group. I just found the channel myself about 4 days ago and I’m hooked.
Pretty sure I was one of those new subscribers from that video!! I loved your channel immediately!! Congratulations on the new subscribers and 1 million views video!! I look forward to what you've got in store for your channel in the future!! ❤️
Congrats!! You really deserve this! You have a channel that is "friendly" to everyone. I am everyones oldest subscriber, and even I find and enjoy your content. I'm really happy for you and your family. God bless!!😍😍😍
I'm fairly new to your channel. I was hooked from the first one I saw. I love your humor and excitement over deals .... makes me feel better about my extreme happiness when I save money. Keep doing what you do! Love from Kentucky 💜
Great news for you!! I found your channel a few months back while searching for a specific recipe. I subscribed because you speak clearly, use ingredients I can pronounce, you fill your videos with cute stories about your family & you have fun while making your videos. Here's to the next video gaining 1M views & beyond. Congrats!!
Honestly, I've been curious how monetization works on RUclips. I've never wanted to know specifically how much a person makes. Just how it works. I'm trying to become a RUclipsr, I guess. I only have a few videos so far, and I haven't made one in a couple of months. I'm hoping things in my life get to a point where I can commit to it. Anyway, thank you for explaining some of how it works. It was very helpful. I still love your channel and have watched every single one since the 126 meals video, and I'm working on the rest lol!! You're awesome, and have a great day!!
WOW! I can definitely see how some of the mega youtubers are making out like crazy, especially with such a large cache of old videos still pulling in money as well. I am so happy for you! :)
FOund you looong ago, and our whole family enjoys your channel - we stream you while we cook or clean on our humongous tv - congratulations on your increased everything! 🎆🎉
We would love to see an overall video as well, if you’re comfortable. It’s amazing to see that this passive income can actually be attainable. I also appreciate your detailed, honest, explanation. Thank you!
WOW.... thank you for that very valuable information about how the heck YT works! I'm sure MOST of us wonder about that but never saw it broken down like this before. And congratulations on your amazing 1+M views! You deserve it and create very good content!
Just liked and subscribed because you have truly earned this and should keep having algorithm success! Btw, your no-knead bread recipe has completely replaced bagged bread in my household, so thank you! I’m trying so hard to buy less plastic, and it changed my life!
I am really grateful for your complete honesty and found that so refreshing, so thank you for that. Also thank you for making this video in the first place, as I'm clearly not the only one who enjoyed it or got some benefit from it! :) I agree with some comments below that many of us seem to have watched this video more than once, I would be in the double didgets by now as I initially was watching it more out of enjoyment and wanting to see it again, but then started watching more to write down the recipes or watch again how you made one of the meals, or the bread especially, so good! I also found the whole message from the video very real and meaningful, and appreciated very much that you never had negativity around this video, you weren't complaining about the food and just got on with it and made the best of what you had, which is what people who are truly in this situation would be doing in their day to day lives. Also I think the meals were straightforward and easy to make, so it probably inspired a lot of people to believe it is truly doable and achievable when situations like this occur so you would have given a lot of people hope, and on top of that you were truly positive throughout and this made it motivating and encouraging, so for me this is why I liked it so much and what brought me back again and again to watch it over and over. Thanks so much for this insight and reflection, I appreciate it! :)
Wow, this is "eye" opening. Thank you so much for your honest and detailed information you shared. I for one had no clue. There is a channel I watch faithfully and the person always gets asked how much they make. Their reply is always, and I quote, "it's a very personal question and I will never discuss it, and it's also rude to ask, I would never ask anyone such a private and personal question so please stop". Which I can appreciate and understand, but at the same time it peaked my curiosity even more. And now I know and understand. Thank you for sharing and explaining. oh yes, CONGRATULATIONS you deserve every cent for helping so many out during difficult times.
I know your kids weren’t thrilled with the meal plan that week of the video. I bet they feel a little different about it now. Also, that video was how I found your channel and it’s now one of my favorites.
I would watch every single one! Would truly love to see it done with different scenarios too- gluten free, vegetarian, non-processed, road trip style etc:)
I subscribed to your channel because this video (the subject matter) appeared in my feed and I watched a few more of your videos afterward. I like your attitude! Congratulations!
That is fantastic!! I’m cheering you on from Michigan!! But does anyone find it ironic that you made the most money ever on an episode that has to do with extreme frugality? Kind of an oxymoron!! 😂
It upsets me that she can pretend to be poor for a week to "educate" poor people on how to be frugal, and then rake in 10k plus. I wonder if she donated any (should be all TBH) of that to a woman's shelter or community group (and no the mormon church doesn't count). If she is using pretending to be poor to earn money, it is moral to give that back.
She's not pretending to be poor. She is showing people what can be done when you are on a budget. And I know I have heard her state in at least one of her videos, her (and her family, depending on the video) actually only eat what she purchases and prepares when she does these challenges.
So refreshing to see honesty! I recently found your channel and am currently binge watching all your videos! I think your awesome 🥰 much love from the UK xx
Do the creators make money when you watch their videos with RUclips red? I've always wondered. It doesn't seem right if they make money but the creator of the content doesn't.
I have RUclips premium, bought it bc hubby can play his music and the screen can go dark and music still plays, which saves his battery and he can make it all night at work with music and nice bonus is I don't have to see ads.
I always wondered that as well. I bet all the money goes to google and not to the creators. Which if that’s how it works I feel a little guilty about. But I hate ads, and I also use the subscription for music as well.
Wow you are the first RUclipsr in years and years of me watching to actually sit down and show this to your audience, aleast as far as I've seen. I really appreciate the honesty. Love your channel. 🙂
samantha Wendling Actually a LOT of you tubers have been doing this in the past year. They’ve been sharing the actual amounts that they earn from RUclips videos. Just to name a few: Shelby church and her twin, Natalie Barbu, Patricia bright, graham Stephen. It’s become popular to do this now, you just have to search for it
I want to see how many views your video gets after this video! ❤️❤️❤️ I always refer to that video for the “No knead bread” recipe 😜🍞❤️ Teach me your ways!!!
If nothing else I do appreciate how transparent and open you are in sharing all this, you didn't have to and I think it speaks loudly as to what kind of person you are!!
Susan Novak Joys of being retired. Even on Social Security you report your income so they can tell you that you don't have to pay anything because you're so poor. And on and on and on and on and on. So much BS. So little time. Blessings abound. Have a good Saturday...😎😈🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
I think the reason this video did so well is because people are truly struggling financially
I'm not saying people aren't struggling financially , but the reason I personally watched the video was just because I couldn't believe it could be done. LOL Kudos!!
Ella Jones great ideas
People are struggling. I watch this b/c I cannot afford to eat out. That's why.
Tyan Wyss-Lockner restaurant food has zero nutrition it certainly isn’t natural if it’s supplier is Sysco lol
I concur, youtube is a free way to get ideas to make ends meet. Also her videos are respected, because she posts very truthful, and useable ideas.
You are the ONLY you tuber that has been this transparent with how you tube money works. Everyone else just skims the topic. I appreciate your transparency!!! And I am soo happy for you. I believe this is only the beginning for you and your family!
I also appreciate your openness and honesty about your personal finances. Im sure you'll be able to make that level again.
Check out Jen Chapin. She goes very in depth about how much money she makes on RUclips. I also appreciate when they are so forth coming
Jen Chapin was the first to do this three weeks ago. She’s always been fully open
Not True... streetspeed717 for years been telling people what he makes... He has been very open & honest about it ...
Other You Tubers don't want you to know.. I have seen alot of them totally lie about it...
It's refreshing, instead of watching someone do an expensive clothing haul, etc, I feel like your videos help the people who work hard for money and need to get the absolute most out of their money.

I agree soooo much!

Finally someone is honest about making money on RUclips. Thank you.
It was the bread recipe in the video. I alone watched this like 5 times to get the bread recipe 😀
thecatbehemoth oh yeah! You’re right.
Yep, me too. And then I made the bread. And then I went back and watched it again to write it down.
Same girl lol
Completely agree
😂
I just watched the viral video and it is wonderful! Bless you! I love your outlook on this. Thanks for sharing! Wish you the best!
*YOU CAN AFFORD FULL PRICE NAAN!!* 😂😂❤❤❤ Congrats!
Samantha Burd I so just choked on my water!! Lol
LOL!
😆
But that means she won’t have to hit the lady who also wants the discounted naan with it to get it all ... which as we all know is way less fun!!!
HAH!!!
Ps, try doing another $30 challenge- I bet you’ll get lots of views again!!
Yes!! Excellent idea!!

Congratulations, that is awesome! I really enjoy all your videos. Thanks for sharing them. Hope it happens again for you.
Pretty sure I was one of those new subscribers from that video!! I loved your channel immediately!! Congratulations on the new subscribers and 1 million views video!! I look forward to what you've got in store for your channel in the future!! ❤️
You deserve every penny! Thank you so much for the valuable content you provide us!
Congrats!! You really deserve this! You have a channel that is "friendly" to everyone. I am everyones oldest subscriber, and even I find and enjoy your content. I'm really happy for you and your family. God bless!!😍😍😍
Congratulations!! I do hope you make another hit soon. Thanks for sharing.
I'm fairly new to your channel. I was hooked from the first one I saw. I love your humor and excitement over deals .... makes me feel better about my extreme happiness when I save money. Keep doing what you do! Love from Kentucky 💜
I really appreciate how transparent you are about this.
I appreciate this breakdown. I have been trying to set up something for myself and now I can plan better.
Great news for you!! I found your channel a few months back while searching for a specific recipe. I subscribed because you speak clearly, use ingredients I can pronounce, you fill your videos with cute stories about your family & you have fun while making your videos. Here's to the next video gaining 1M views & beyond. Congrats!!
That video was amazing tbh.
Your channel is one of the few that teaches to eat healthy on a strict budget
So glad your channel is growing and your making some well earned bucks! thanks so much for sharing, it's really interesting to see how RUclips works!
I really appreciate both videos... which is why i subscribed! Thanks to your family as well who has suffer/ thrive off of your budget challenges, lol.
It's *so* cool that by helping people *save* money, you are *making* money 😃
🎆🎉
Thanks for sharing. Interesting. Congratulations! So happy to see your channel grow. You so deserve it!
Congratulations! This is AMAZING, Christine!
This video made me your subscriber too..since then i watched and enjoy your other videos, loving it!
I agree with some comments below that many of us seem to have watched this video more than once, I would be in the double didgets by now as I initially was watching it more out of enjoyment and wanting to see it again, but then started watching more to write down the recipes or watch again how you made one of the meals, or the bread especially, so good!
Thank you for continuing to help others, and share your truth, so transparently. The world needs that!
Whoa..... I was considering starting a channel... Now I think I need to get more serious about it
I get such a kick out of watching your videos. Very informative. Thank you!
I thought creators weren’t allowed to share this info?
$10,000?! Daaaaaaang! Congrats!
I found the most updated terms that say we are allowed to share!
@@FrugalFitMom I hope it's true and they don't change the rules and you end up getting screwed.
It seems that creators can share, bc many are... HOWEVER they cannot disclose the details of contracts with sponsors .
I really appreciate your honesty, you are the first person I have ever seen to break things down like this, it's eye opening.
So proud of you Christine! Good for you!
I know your kids weren’t thrilled with the meal plan that week of the video. I bet they feel a little different about it now. Also, that video was how I found your channel and it’s now one of my favorites.
Thank you for your honesty, and for a very informative video. Good luck for the future. Hope you make more like this one. 👍💕
That video was how I found you. It was a great one for struggling families.
That was the first video I watched. I was so inspired I subscribed. I'm happy for your success!
Well, I guess if you did 126 meals for $30 take 2, you might get another mil, who knows?
Please do this!
Yes!
I kept thinking that.
Karen M74 yesss im from Michigan to!!!
It cost the watchers NOTHING but time to click to play ... so not so ironic. Kind of wonderful !
So refreshing to see honesty! I recently found your channel and am currently binge watching all your videos! I think your awesome 🥰 much love from the UK xx
After you said how many ads were in your video it really made me appreciate my RUclips Red subscription (no ads). Worth every penny I pay a month! 😂
Same. I can't stand ads and it's well worth the money.
But I hate ads, and I also use the subscription for music as well.
frugalmomofmany yes youtube gives a cut of the youtube premium subscription to the channels those subscribers watch.
Congratulations!!!!! I was one of the viewers of that video so seeing this pop up in my feed was super exciting for me. Way to go.
It’s become popular to do this now, you just have to search for it
Thanks so much for explaining it...RUclips earnings have been a big black hole for me! Cheers!
Man. Wish i was interesting enough to have a youtube channel.
That's amazing i found your channel with that video and hopefully you have another hit 1mil. Thanks for the advance for you tubers so true 🙌
I want to see how many views your video gets after this video! ❤️❤️❤️
I always refer to that video for the “No knead bread” recipe 😜🍞❤️
Teach me your ways!!!
If nothing else I do appreciate how transparent and open you are in sharing all this, you didn't have to and I think it speaks loudly as to what kind of person you are!!
Then you have the IRS to contend with.
Gail Remp - of coarse. Don’t all of us who earn money have to deal with the IRS?
Susan Novak Joys of being retired. Even on Social Security you report your income so they can tell you that you don't have to pay anything because you're so poor. And on and on and on and on and on. So much BS. So little time. Blessings abound. Have a good Saturday...😎😈🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
Thank you for sharing this information. It's great when someone is willing to "lay it all on the line" to help others.
